Chen's Mongolian Buffet

It is a good place to have unlimited food with lots of customization options. They provide unlimited custom buffet for just $13, and the quality of food and service are great too!
The opening hours are restrictive for late dinner during summers. They close around 7:30, I think. There shall be late hours of operations that can help to make this a perfect dinner experience, too. However, it is definitely a good spot for brunch or lunch. It is also adjacent to a minigolf place, so I may combine lunch trip with a minigolf outing.
The place was a little dark. Better lighting would help!

Went a few days ago and was very pleased. Staff was more than friendly. We had arrived shorty after 7pm, not realizing they closed at 7:30. However, we apologized and they still let us have two plate of food. With the first plate we were already near full, but had to get another as it was very delicious. They had egg drop and wonton soup. The wonton was very good. They had many vegetable, meat, and sauce options. Had a small section for salads, fruit and cake. Would definitely recommend trying the dark cake which was an espresso cake. Would definitely recommend trying and will be back!!!

One of my go to places in state college. I love that their sushi collection has quite a few options for someone like me who can’t eat raw sushi. We have been here more than I can count. I love that I can choose my proteins, veges and make it as much hot and spicy as I want to!

I decided to try this place out based on its reviews. The food was sooo fresh and delicious. They have fresh vegetables, meats,seafood and a variety of tasty sauces to pair it with. My food came within 15 mins and it was hot and flavorful. Will patronize again. Server was very friendly and explained how it worked to me as this was my first time. Highly recommend this place.

Mongolian buffet, if you don’t know the unique appeal of Mongolian buffet, they serve everything raw, then cook those for you instantly. You can take fresh plate, add everything raw from buffet. Additionally they have sushi, soup, salad bar. Love the sauce selection, always turns out great.

I drive from Baltimore to eat here at least 4 times a year. One of the last Mongolian bbq spots in hundreds of miles. The closest is DC or Pittsburgh. Amazing food, if you don’t like the way it tastes, blame yourself lol. Protect this small business at all cost!

The food was fresh and plentiful. We were there for lunch, and the place was packed, but they kept the buffet stocked . The service was excellent.

Friendly staff, great food. It was a bit crowded, but that just means the food is good and has a quick turnover with regard to freshness.

Been here many times and this place has never disappointed. Looks a little sketch from the outside, but the inside and food is great. You put the food you want on a plate, sauce in a bowl, they cook it, then give it back to you on a clean plate. There’s also some soup, sushi, dessert (cakes/pudding/jello). The quality of the food is good. The veggies always look fresh and you get lots of options. This is one of my favorite places in state college to eat, highly recommend.

I had a very different buffet experience here. You need to choose your vegetables, toppings, sauces and spices along with different types of noodles and rice. They take your selection and cook it for you. You also have desserts, fruits and soups to choose from. The food tasted great and the service was fast. I had a fun time here it's not too pricey for a buffet restaurant. Would definitely recommend!

This place was AWESOME! The buffet has many good options and variety, and it is cooked quickly! I had a great time here and hope to come back soon!

Excellent choices even for vegan like me as well as my wife, a normal eater. Reasonable price and good service.

You choose your ingrediants buffet style and sauce and food is cooked and brought to your table. You can return to the buffet to have more food prepared. A small salad, fruit and dessert bar was included. A wide variety of ingredients to choose from and reasonably priced especially at lunch time

Food is fresh and cooked on a flat top. One of the more unique places to eat in State College. Easily a favorite spot to visit.

It was awesome. Fresh food, hand selected by me . Server was nice. I am sure to return. Check out that grill with my handpicked ingredients.

Back to basics buffet, you pile your plate with veggies, raw meat and rice or noodles, and a sauce, then they cook it for you right there! I loved the concept, I'd never been to a buffet like this before. The ladies there were very kind and helpful walking me through the process.

If you love Mongolian BBQ this is the place. The staff is very kind and helpful with what to do and how to mix your flavors. We will be back
