Primanti Bros. Restaurant and Bar

I attended Primanti Bros Restaurant and Bar in State College, PA, three times in the last month. Every time I attended the business, Wyatt, Ashton, and Jordan worked, and they all made me feel part of a good community.

I graduated from Penn State in the 90s, and back then, the restaurant was called the Gingerbread Man [G-Man]. It was the place for fraternities and sororities. Things have not changed, and kids who frequent the bar are cool. Wyatt is excellent, too. Every time I'm there, we talk about things happening in the world. Nice guy. Ashton, the manager, treats his customers and employers equally. He has a calm and delighted demeanor that I appreciate working for a major corporation. Wish everyone had this mindset: It would help if you treated your employees how you treat your customers. It's a cause and effect.

Finally, Jordan, the bartender, is great. She attended to me quickly, and while she may have lost her grandfather while working on a busy weekend night, she continued to serve her customers with a good attitude. Bless her. The P-Man has become one of my favorite places to get a hefty sandwich or burger and be on my way. Thanks for treating me well again, on a Monday night.

Very clean location. Nice relaxing atmosphere. Service very friendly and food is fabulous Primanti style as always.

Awesome place to watch a Penn State game. Great service for a packed restaurant. All of our food was excellent. The Crazy Big Bavarian Pretzel with hot cheese sauce and honey mustard was awesome. The fried pickles were spears which is definitely a better way to make them. The Original Capicola & Cheese was the perfect sandwich made as it should be with the provolone, tomatoes, fresh-cut fries and coleslaw.

The food is always spot on at P-Man’s. I got the roast beef and cheddar. I added onions and a fried egg. They are always loaded with meat and fries and never leave you hungry. I never had the tots before and they were incredible. Fried to perfection.

Amazing sandwiches and the employees were incredibly nice and friendly! We sat upstairs and shared the Fish sandwich and the Pittsburgh sandwich. Left very full and happy.

After moving our daughter into Penn State, my husband, son, and I were lucky enough to come across Primanti Bros for dinner. Actually, someone walking down the street recommended it, and we're so happy we took his advice.
The service was very good, our food came in a reasonable time, the serving sizes were plenty, and the food was very good. It also didn't hurt that we went on a Monday when the wings were half off! 😉. The prices are quite reasonable, which helps since I'm sure they cater primarily to college students. Overall, it was a great experience, and we will definitely go back when WE ARE... back in town!

Stopped here on a road trip because the place we planned on going was closed. Turned out to be a great coincidence! The atmosphere was very comfortable and they had lots of good bar food to choose from.
Highly recommend the Drunk Duck, it's like a boozy capri sun, and you get a whole pitcher of it!!

Great atmosphere, even during COVID. We went for a late lunch around 3 PM 7/18. A pitcher of Drunk Duck for $7 is WELL worth it. Plus it was wing day, $.59 wings. I got the Korean bbq and they were amazing. We went to the location in Lancastor 2 weeks ago, equally as wonderful. And to think I'm a native Yinzer and I've never been to Primanti's in my hometown!

A favorite lunch spot. Enjoyed their new cheese steak today which was amazing! Their fries are always spot on. Also a fan of their chicken salad with the chicken thrown in bbq sauce and their tots.

Having lived in Pittsburgh for 20+ years, I'm very familiar with Primanti Bros. My son suggested getting the bone-in wings with the regular Buffalo sauce. Like myself, he is a wing fanatic! These were the best wings I have had in a place not known for wings and a few that are. I love a crispy wing and these are certainly crisp!
I got a PB Reuben and it was great with 1 exception. I am not crazy about the horseradish mayo they use. They accommodated me by putting in a cup on the side. Adding a good squeeze or two of Heinz ketchup and stirring together made an acceptable form of thousand island dressing. Are you listening Primanti's?

Soon as we walked in we were seated and given water!! I forgot dudes names but he was a great waiter!! THE BROTHERS BURGER!!!

Food is so good, my cat ate it.

Would recommend 100%%% come see Mimi best bartender in state college hands down!!!!

We had lunch so it was just after opening. Great experience

Stopped here while in town for the Journey concert. Snow and freezing rain. 2 employees were outside laying salt and welcomed us. Hostess, waiter/bartender were very friendly and checked in with us frequently. Food came out quick and as always tasty.

Love the food, the gluten free hoagie roll was the best I have ever had! Way more food than I could eat & the server did a great job!

First time at aPrimanti Bros and it didn't disappoint. Katie was out waitress and she was excellent. The food was also quite delicious! We'll be back!!!

Only stopped in for drinks with a group of 8. Service was attentive and professional.

HUGE sandwiches. Great wings. everything was good. Good service and lots of TV's . Will definitely go back.
