This review is particularly for the Sephora in Mechanicsburg, PA. I have lived in multiple states and have always enjoyed going to Sephora. The fact that this location is now my home location is upsetting due to the staff they have. They are all very young high school age or 20 somethings that do not seem to help or care at all with teaching or selling the products.
I went there a month ago to buy Jlo block buster cream and it was on sale 50 percent. It wasn’t labeled, no one told me about it, and when I went back s few days later to get more and the whole line was gone, the sales guy didn’t even know he used to have it on the shelf days ago and it was gone. I knew more than he did about the inventory. Someone could have been informative and i would have bought more products. Instead the line is now discontinued there.
Last night I went and bought 200 dollars worth of products and the girl didn’t tell me I had over 500 points accumulated and could have saved ten dollars. Then when I asked how many insider points I. I had, she said 580. I was like, oh cool what samples are available for points? Her response was, no products available only 10 dollars off. But you have to tell me before you pay. WHAT??!!? That is her job!! To help and let people know when they have an opportunity to save.

I have gone to Sephora’s with amazing helpful staff. This location the employees are clearly untrained or managers have zero leadership. Not sure if it’s because they are inside Kohl’s instead of being a separate entity, but that shouldn’t be an excuse. Half the staff should be fired at this location

I second the review about returns. They wouldn’t accept my Sephora purchase history as a receipt and were uncooperative and extremely rude about it. I even called sephora customer service at the store on speaker and they told them they can look it up and reprint the receipt but they still refused to do so. They want a physical receipt and even I’m looking at the transaction in front of me on my phone where it says location and all, that i used a 20% off coupon, got a free birthday gift and kohl’s cash NOBODY can simply pull up the transaction or print a receipt. I will NEVER go back. And this was a face cream that I’ve been using for years but the Creme smells different than usual and made me break out. My guess is that someone else returned it before and they just put it back in the shelf. The manager Allison was unhelpful and snappy. Unacceptable

I stopped here for the first time a little over a week ago and a lady that works here recommended a mascara to me, she also encouraged me to sign up for Sephora insider so I earned points had a history of purchases and got a free birthday gift. the mascara ended up being the biggest junk of a makeup purchase I've ever made. And it wasn't cheap mascara. Tonight when I tried to exchange it they refused to accept my Sephora insider purchase history as acceptable form of receipt and insisted unless I had my paper receipt they wouldn't take it back. I'll never shop here again. I'll a mile down the street to Ulta who has friendly knowledgeable employees who actually know the meaning of customer service.

My wife went to this place to get some makeup, rep there talked with my wife in very insulting tone and left, my wife again needed some help with matching instead of help just told her to apply and see for yourself and left, never coming here again, not sure if all reps are this horrible but wouldn't be surprised if this place shut down after one visit here, hope management improves customer experience soon
