Black n Bleu Restaurant

The food was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! It’s definitely, I mean definitely not what you would imagine it would be on the inside when you see it on the outside! That’s for sure! Yes their advertising reads … “Black Tie, Casual Attire, Come As You Are!”

This is true … it’s doesn’t matter … however, the environment and atmosphere is lacking a great deal from the staff, the choice of music, PERIOD! The decorum is definitely different, unique, stylish with a lot of flare!! A MUST SEE!

I do not prefer ever to leave non-positive feedback especially when the food was as delicious as this. Most importantly, never less than a “3”; however, will share professional areas of opportunity regarding the atmosphere it was lacking something.

Our server’s demeanor, though she was somewhat okay, just didn’t seem to enjoy her time there, not a much pleasant demeanor. Though it may very well have been her personality as some people just have this type of personality after all. No fault of hers. She did seem to be trying awfully hard to be nice. I would prefer it for her not to fake it.

Simply select a different profession if this doesn’t make one happy. It’s just not worth going in day after day to a miserable job, even if you make tons of money! If you LOVE what you do it will never feel like a JOB!

Nonetheless I simply just simply cannot say enough about the food and beverages!! These were photo quality folks! Just look at these!! It is RARE, YES RARE that a CHEF can actually cook EXACTLY to the POINT a RARE burger patty and my sandwich which happen to be a filet mignon was “SPOT ON!”

Went here with a large party and had an awesome dinner. Someone recommended the fire bread and it was outstanding. Another person recommended the coca-cola braised short ribs and they were on another plane of existence good! Highly recommend you try the short ribs and visit this place. Everyone's food looked phenomenal in our party.

Great food each time we come here. Reservations are highly recommended. Excellent selection of beer (with many local brews) & fun cocktails. Not an intimate dinner experience (if that’s what you’re looking for) but excellent for social or family dinners! Well prepared food with (usually) plenty to take home as leftovers! It is our birthday dinner go-to when in the area.

The service was top notch! The waitress was very attentive and pleasant, the food was incredible and everything was timely. There are a few bad seat locations, meaning they are in a very high traffic area with staff and others passing. I just so happened to be sitting in one of them. Nevertheless, I had a great experience due to the staff and food being amazing!

We love to go to Black n Bleu for special meals … birthdays, anniversaries, days ending in Y. The menu is pretty extensive, so I struggle with what is the best thing on the menu… This week it’s the firehouse pasta… Three weeks ago it was the ribs, before that it was a steak and calamari salad. This is a good problem to have! I will be back!

First off, I do recommend getting reservations. We just got into Mechanicsburg and we're going to travel into Harrisburg to eat but decided to try Black N Bleu instead on a whim. We waited a little over 30 minutes but it was worth the wait. Cool decor and nice feel to the restaurant was nice. If it would have been warmer outside the benches in front would have been available as well. I had the Hungarian stuffed peppers and they were really good. Stuffed with sausage and two cheeses and served with a marinara sauce it was very good. My mother got the Killer bread, which was also good, very creamy. I got the prime rib medium rare, which is served with green beans and a baked potato. Good flavor on the prime rib. My mother had the chicken alfredo and loved it and my dad liked the Lobster Ravioli. Very good. I can see why it was so busy on a Tuesday night.

This was one of the best culinary experiences I’ve had in a while and I will definitely be back!

Both my friend and I had the Lobster soup and I had the best Pasta sea food entree. So good, I tried to make it at home but was not nearly as yummy! A must go Restaurant!

Came in Friday and it was great as always, Laura did a fantastic job. Had the Braised Short Ribs again, I always want to try something new, but they are so good I go back to it every time. If I had one complaint it would be the chocolate peanut butter cake my wife wanted for dessert, it was as fresh as I've come to expect from this place. Everything else was fantastic though from the appetizers to the sides Will be back again

On our visit 7/30/23, I have to give them 5 stars. We comfortably sat at the outside tables under 1 of the 3 ceiling fans. Our waitress was super attentive, and our food was excellent. There were also 5 outdoor heaters present, unnecessary this time of year, but will definitely extend outdoor dining in cooler temps. Overall great dining experience. Highly recommend.

First time giving this place a try. Food was delicious and they have some different takes on your normal food fair that definitely work! We will be going back. Our complaint was that the portions are huge! We shared a pasta dish and had leftovers and shared it the next day for lunch. Awesome staff, super nice and thought of everything. We didn't have to bother the waitress once. She was spot on with timing and suggestions.

This is one of my favorite spots. I’ve eaten here many times, but only recently snapped some pics for you to enjoy. 😃
Lobster Mac, salmon salad, carrots, and Chilean sea bass bites are a staple for me.

We had sweet potato fries and boneless wings this trip, but ate them too fast for pics. Maybe I’ll add them next time.

First time at Black n Bleu, celebrating our daughter passing her Nursing boards! They have a great variety, between seafood, pastas, pizzas, salads, burgers, mixed drinks, it was a lot to choose from. The service was excellent, and for late lunch, there were quite a few people there, so it has a reputation for being a good place to eat. Overall, a great experience for our first time there.

Have fun time with my friends there. Good food, nice service and reasonable price.

We had a nice dinner here with friends tonight. Our server was great and the food was awesome! Everyone loved what they got. If you're looking for the dessert menu you won't find it online cause it changes daily.

Love Black and Bleu. And they have a birthday discount that is unbelievable. Their prime rib is delish. Their short ribs are unsurpassed. Waitresses are first rate. So are the cooks. Atmosphere cozy. Make a reservation for your best birthday ever.

service is always top notch and food is great. Donny always did a great job with the place and I always applauded him at being the face of the restaurant when you walked in. It appears the new owner is doing the same. Keep the place great! One of the best places to eat in Mechanicsburg for sure! Prices are right and good is great!

Wow we loved this place and never knew we needed blue cheese fondue in our life.

Dinner this evening was Lick The Plate Delicious 😋 It was our first visit, being from out of town. I Recommend !!

OM goodness outstanding meals. Best tomato soup I've ever had in any restaurant. The other 2 meals were very well prepared and the quality and quantity is excellent. This place sits back hidden away. The staff is friendly. I would stop back again and would recommend this restaurant so stop by and give them a try.
