Americana Asian Kitchen - Asian Street Food

Stopped tonight and picked up the shrimp pad Thai and the chicken pad Thai . I had never had it before, so I didn’t know what to expect. Ordered it to go and was told it would be ready in about 15 minutes. My son and I sat in the dining area to wait. The nice girl behind the register came over and offered us water while we waited. Shortly after we sat the owner walked in and greeted us and had a short conversation. Our food was ready when she said it would be and walked it out to the table we were sitting at. We thanked her a grabbed the paper bag and it thought the handles were going rip off. I had to check to make sure it was only the two things that I ordered. Got home and definitely wasn’t disappointed! One order was enough to feed two people easily. The food was fresh, hot, and delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and definitely will be going back. Great local business!

Food was excellent. People were super friendly. It's a bit of a nightmare when trying g to figure out ordering online. It's because you can't, also can't dine in at the moment. I drove 20 there and 20 home. The food traveled well, sans the fries, but that's a quick oven fix. Drunken Noodles were everything I needed them to be and more. Can't wait to order again!

Great meall!! My wife and I tried 2 of the soups which were excellent and very large, and a curry dish and the Mongolian Beef, all were delicious and flavorful with fresh ingredients, and had plenty to take home. We will be going back regularly. Only recommendation would be that the dishes would have benefited from a little more broccoli with it. Staff was very friendly and we had a nice chat with the owner who really cares about the quality of his food and the diner's experience.

We ordered ahead for delivery and everything arrived hot and on time. We enjoyed our dinners. The food was beautifully presented even in the take-out containers, and it was light, not greasy. We could tell it was prepared and presented with care and that the ingredients were fresh. The complimentary Thai iced tea (for New Years Eve) was colorful and delicious. A great experience. Next time, we plan to dine at the restaurant.

This place is phenomenal! Smells great in there and all the food is amazing. The drunken noodles were great as well as the wings!! All the sauces are amazing but the Korean BBQ is my favorite wing sauce by far. The street fries are also a great choice.

Wow! I have passed this restaurant a thousand times and thought that I’d like to eat there. I finally did tonight and my mom and I were blown away by how good it was! I love chicken green curry and Americana’s was perfect with the right amount of every ingredient. The serving was enough for two dinners and I had to physically make myself stop eating so I wouldn’t get too full. The basil ginger shrimp had delicious vegetables and cooked just right so nothing mushy. My mom loved the sauce/broth the most. And it came in kind of a disposable bento box that we’ll definitely reuse. The wait was a little longer than expected but the staff was working hard and it was incredibly worth it!

We tried for the first time last night, ordered for pickup. We got a notification that our food was ready 10 minutes before expected. The shrimp street rice bowl with satay peanut sauce was awesome (not spicy which was perfect for me), and my husband loved the drunken noodles. I also had the pork dumpling soup which was also great!
Support this local business, we will definitely be ordering again!

Great takeout service. Everything was well packed and hot. Mongolian beef was tender and flavorful. While not totally authentic, drunken noodles with shrimp were well seasoned and delicious. Will definitely order from here again.

Got take out. Mongolian beef, sesame chicken, Philly cheese steak egg rolls, crispy veggie dumpling. Tasted amazing, all of it. Prepared excellent and professional. Super nice staff! Will definitely go back to try more.

I chose to try American because I have seen how much effort the owner exerts into promoting his business during these difficult times. I ordered for myself and then had my friends call back and add on for themselves and and their two kids.
When I arrived I was handed two bags full of food which was priced in the $80s. I wasn't sure if what they ordered would be enough but as I unpacked the bags I saw plenty of food.
Each dish had a familiar name: Teriyaki Chicken, General TSO Chicken ect but it tasted much better than traditional Chinese food . Everyone tasted and liked everything and it was surprisingly filling.
I look forward to trying other items they offer.
And the presentation and packaging of the food was fantastic.

We have only ordered takeout a handful of times since March 12, but this is one I would do tomorrow! Food was delicious, we ordered one meal and a variety of bites and loved everything. I hate to give them a five because I don’t want to share them, but I’ll give s them a five because I want them to stay in business!!! Delivery a tiny bit late, but we ordered prime time.

Big fan of this gem in Garnet Valley! My family’s go to’s are the Drunken noodles, shrimp shumai, cheesesteak egg rolls, street fries, chicken wings and gochujang stir fry. The occasional specials are always awesome- I only wish they’d add the spicy gang hed mushroom soup and pork larb to the regular menu! They’re SO good. Family owned and operated, love this place!

Tried Americana Asian Kitchen - Asian Street Food for the first time and got the Gochujang Stirfry. The dish was excellent and the sauce particularly tasty (spicy and sweet). Very friendly staff and very clean restaurant. Will definitely come again.

Update March 2021:
Re-rated, as the restaurant has gotten it together and we just opt to pick it up now, since delivery is iffy and we don’t want to wait for it. DELICIOUS food, love supporting a local family business.

Food is 30 minutes later than delivery time estimated. I wish I could tell you how it tastes but we don’t even have it in hand yet and we live five minutes away from the restaurant

This was honestly the most flavorful asian food I have ever ate in my life! Great serving size and very fresh ingredients. We got the basil ginger shrimp, hot thai wings, philly cheesesteak egg rolls, and the Tomyam soup with shrimp. Delivery was fast. Take advantage of this family owned restaurant as they are not common! Thank you!

The service was quick and the food was very tasty and the portions were very
generous. I had the shrimp rice bowl and my husband had the Mongolian beef . We will definitely order again.

Excellent food with so much flavor. They have lots of choices, including soups. The location is convenient & the building looks like an old schoolhouse. It's a cute family business. There is enough seating for about 20. Wish I could go there every day!

Fantastic. Good portions, especially the pad Thai. The difference in quality from an "average" Asian food place is instantly noticeable. If you're looking for a local business to support, this is it. We will definitely go back.

We got the Mongolian beef, drunken noodle, tom yum soup, Philly Cheese Steak Spring Rolls and shrimp fried rice. Everything was delish. Lots of shrimp in the fried rice. We will definitely order again!!

My husband and I ordered the Mongolian Beef and General Tso Chicken with brown rice, Delicious!!! Loved the presentation, service, prices and food. Definitely going back again.
