LOVE this place. I highly recommend the chefs tasting menu. Spanish octopus was our favorite. The sea scallops were also very good. They were also very accommodating with our food allergies. Our waiter gave great recommendations on wines to pair with the food as well. We’ve gone on an intimate date and also a fun family dinner with 6 of us. Will definitely be back!

Great selection of wine and cocktails! I got the basque cocktail and it was delicious! Sweet and citrusy, how I like it. The red wine I got, i forgot the name, was very smooth and silky. They have a nice outdoor seating which was great on a nice sunny day. The service was very good, the staff was friendly and very informative. There was a male waiter who dressed very well!

Amazing food and service here at Tinto. We try to stop in about once a year and always go for a variety of small plates. They are packed full of flavor despite their size and we always leave stuffed yet wanting more. The dishes are complex and rich so go with an appetite ready.

Great small restaurant that can be difficult to find but has a distinct “Madrid” feel with no windows and heavily decorated interior. The new manager is a som who knows wine, therefor he has sourced amazing Spanish wine that would be unobtainable in any other place. The food is good and the service is fantastic. I was so happy to dine here after the owners had forced pandemic closure for more than 1 year. Space is very limited so book ahead. +\- 6 tables. Highly recommended for a late afternoon tapas run or lay night dining in Philly.

One of my favorite tapas places in the city!!
I came here with my friends on Christmas Eve and we were amazed at how good everything was as well as their drinks too
The restaurant is also pretty big and spacious
We got their octopus, paella, scallops, cheese/charcuterie, and potatoes and they were all so good! We cleared every single thing!
Would definitely recommend and I will definitely be coming back here again!

Great food with a romantic and Spanish atmosphere. We had the trout, sprouts, mushrooms, as well as the albondigas for dinner, and the flan for dessert. I would highly recommend the trout and the flan. Both were perfectly made. I would also recommend the white sangria. It was very refreshing.

Didn't realize that I never wrote a review. I tried getting into Tinto 3 times before as a walk in. Always fully booked. So don't bother just walk in, it is small and busy. I finally planned it ahead, and drove to PA for a day trip. It was worth it. The food is superb, lots of choices, great wines. We had the ribs, octopus, the dessert was amazing and it is romantic as well!!

Had a family dinner here, place was so hidden but so cute! Highly recommend tasting menu with wine pairing and having Anthony as your waiter! The flexibility of having the waiter choose which wine will be able to fit the entrees is so amazing! Pricing was reasonable for what you received. The only one we didn't prefer was the salad dressing was a little too salty. Other than that perfect family dinner, great food, and great service!

Went for dinner during restaurant week with my boyfriend & we absolutely enjoyed it. Service was quick, the space was charming with dim ambient lighting, and the food was absolutely delicious. For restaurant week, you choose 2 starters, 2 main dishes, and 1 dessert. Main highlights of the dinner were the pork chops, meatballs, and octopus (best item of the dinner, in my opinion). The food we ordered was tender, moist, and flavorful. There were no overbearing flavors, everything was well-balanced. For dessert, we preferred the basil+strawberry yogurt over the flan. So refreshing and irresistible. Wish we had another cup of it! Would definitely go back to try their full menu.

Amazing quality food, inviting waitstaff, cozy atmosphere. All of the best combinations for a wonderful night out. Came here with 10 of my family members for a reservation for my sisters birthday. We had a little of everything and the food was beautifully served/plated with a flavor to burst your tastebuds. Truly a wonderful dining experience. During restaurant week, will definitely be coming here again.

We always enjoy eating here, the food is fantastic. We dined with another couple and we all had the chef's tasting. The menu offers one option for this, but the waitress indicated that there was an option for $10 extra that included more food. Thank goodness we didn't "upgrade." The portion sizes were decent for tapas, I assume they took into account that there was four of us, and the overall quantity of dishes was more than enough. It can be a bit pricey to eat here, but we'll worth it for us.

My husband and I were stuck in traffic and were running late for our 6 pm reservation. When we called, both hostesses couldn’t be nicer. They assured us that we still would be seated and we were indeed. The food was delicious paired with excellent wine. Our server and staff were great. Ended up our evening with Flamenco show at Plays and Players. Perfect Spanish night! Very pleased and would definitely recommend to anyone.

Very nice selection of perfectly presented and seasoned tapas. Both the octopus, lamb skewer, and mushroom dishes were amazing. The kale empanada was surprisingly flaverful and tasty. The duck cannelloni had mixed reviews from our party (likely having to so with the distribution of duck meat) but I enjoyed the flavor. Our server was attentive and accommodating. Overall really nice experience and would definitely go again.

Four of us had dinner here. One of us was gluten-free, one of us had a shellfish allergy, and 2 of us didn't eat sweets. We did the chef's tasting menu, and everything was fantastic. They accommodated our allergies and made it a stress-free dining experience. Each dish was better than the last, and not a single thing we ate could have even been described as mediocre. Fantastic!

Tinto is probably my favorite restaurant in Philadelphia. First and foremost, the food is outstanding. There is good variety of tapas available while remaining true to the Basque roots of the restaurant. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The price is reasonable for a high-end restaurant, and if you don't go crazy with ordering, you can leave with a check that won't break your bank account. The restaurant has two dining rooms, including one with a view of the kitchen with high-top tables.

Tinto was fantastic (again). This is our third dinner here and they never disappoint. We had a party of four and just kept choosing plates and sharing them. Every dish was excellent. The sausage with lentils and greens was the hit of the night. I'd say the only negative here is the cost of the wine list. They should be able to bring the average price per bottle down with just again little effort.
