Tacos Mexiko Restaurant

Wow…simply wow! Que asombroso! The restaurant although small, seems very homelike with a cozy, yet relaxing vibe. The service was top notch. The hostess/waiter (Kayla) was very attentive and lovely. Now to the food...Que Rico! The Salmon Burrito was beyond belief, it's a must have!

We have driven by here for a while and never stopped in and I don't know why. It's fantastic! Mom was in visiting for Christmas and I lost track of the fact that 12/26 was the observed holiday for Christmas so a lot of my favorite places were closed. Then I just started looking close to home(and in Boothwyn the voices are slim if you don't want a diner or fast food). I called and they were open so we went.

It was a Greek place previous to this which was also great (but I think it was just a front for the Greek mob since no one was ever in there but they stayed open for several years 🤔😉). Anyway-just a few metal tables and chairs and counter service but it's cute-made to look like a good truck (which they still have and run in Wilmington). We actually need a few minutes to check out the menu (small but mighty) because there were actually different options!

We got the Birria quesadilla, the chicken machete and the chorizo street tacos. While we were waiting for our food the young man working asked if we would like a complimentary hot chocolate and since it was 15° we happily said yes. It was delicious!; different than any Mexican style hot chocolate I'd ever had. It was almost floral-we asked him if he could find out what was in it and bless him, he tried. He can't back and said he doesn't speak much Spanish and she (I'm assuming the owner/chef) didn't speak much English 🤣. It was kind of him to try and then our food was coming out so we didn't care. It was delicious and authentic. The machete is a large corn tortilla folded over and filled and you could tell by the taste and texture that the tortilla was homemade! The Birria (think pulled chuck roast, not as greasy, cooked dry with a chili run) quesadilla was huge and served with fresh lime, onions/cilantro, guacamole and a dipping broth that was wonderful. The tacos were huge and the chorizo was even better because it wasn't overly spicy to make up for lesser quality like most store bought.

We also ordered 3 churros which were the only thing I think we're a little over priced at $3 each but they were fresh and hot with a tres leches filling.

It was $63 including drinks but we each brought back half our player for lunch the next day so you can't say the portions are stingy for the price. I truly hope they succeed here and can't wait to go back!

Staff was extremely friendly & took the time to explain certain dishes. Food tastes like authentic Mexican food. It's a bit on the expensive side but definitely worth it!

The food was excellent. I ordered the fish tacos, very good flavor, a bit messy, but that's how I like them. My girlfriend ordered the Birria Quesatacos. She didn't say a word while eating, lol she obviously enjoyed them, they were also messy but she didn't care.

Best experience ever! The reviews for the restaurant is what had me drive an hour to have my taco Tuesday here! Well worth the follow!!!! Food was amazing!!!

Surf & Turf Burrito was huge and amazing, couldn’t eat it all, saved it for the next day and the lettuce hadn’t wilted and turned brown like most things you get with lettuce. I wrapped it in foil and stuck it in the air fryer for a few minutes and it still tasted as fresh as it did the day before. Same with the churros, air fired then then next day and still great!

I had the El pastor burrito bowl. The food was well prepared, delicious & plentiful. It was my first visit to the restaurant. I've previously ordered from their food truck. The food truck offerings are of equal quality.

Absolutely slaps. Shrimp tacos are next level. Nachos with steak amazing too. Ramen was good, but the noodles could be a little more of the broth flavor because its like a delicious beef stew taste ...I heated up left over ramen next day and it absorbed more flavor and it was perfect.

But forreal, best shrimp tacos I ever had.

Tried this spot for the first time and I’m definitely going back for the Birria! It’s not a common menu item around here and I was excited to find it at this restaurant. The food was excellent! We got the Birria torta and the Birria quesadilla. There’s so many other dishes on their menu I’d try.

I love this food truck. Not too many of the local Mexican food spots offer seafood options... They do! The food is great! I tried the salmon burrito 🌯 and it was very good. Loved the plantains because it added a sweet taste to the savory. Fish tacos and the shrimp tacos were excellent too. I would definitely recommend this place to any and everyone.

If you haven’t been here yet it’s your own fault. When you finally get around to trying this spot you’ll HATE yourself for not trying it sooner. The missed opportunities. All the days. The hours that passed with your life incomplete. And you being unaware of the revolution your life was waiting to have. The passion. The flavors. The gd options and extraordinary experiences you’ve missed. BUT please fear not. Rest weary traveler and allow yourself the pleasure of a lifetime. Visit this spot immedately. You’ll thank yourself. You’ll visit again. You’ll want the same but need to try new. Love yourself and go here now.

Delicious! I was so sad to hear its closing, the best tacos and nachos I think I've ever had. So authentic and so many flavors, definite recommend trying before the closing date ( March 27th ) We really want to try the surf and turf burrito if we make it back in time!

Best Mexican Restaurant around. All their dishes are amazing. The flavor is truly authentic!

Food is amazing, but they really seem to encourage take out. When seated in the dining are we were told a 18% tip added for sit in dining, which was no problem for us as we usually tip 20%. We were just 2 people so we did find the add on tip a bit unusual.

Their food is truly amazing. The service is great. There will be a bit of a wait if you don't call ahead but it is totally worth it for the flavor and quality.

Sorry for the incomplete plate but I just had to stop and let them know they did such a good job with the Birria QuesoTacos I was I'm in all I don't know who abuela blessed the soup the dipping soup but my Goodness it's so good

This place is hard to pass up on for authentic Mexican food food is top knotch everyone is nice and they have parking and good seats inside and outside

So happy to have authentic Mexican food in my home town. Service is fast and the food is great!!!!!

I rarely give five stars to a place but this one is one of the few places that left me and my family giving this place a 10 out of 10. The friendly staff greeted us and kindly took us to our table. We ordered passion fruit drinks and they were perfect. We briefly waited for our food to be served and let me tell you, from the guacamole, the salsas, the tacos, the chicken, the meat, everything we ate left us so satisfied and the prices are unbeatable. I highly recommend the quesatacos de birria. We were so pleased by the food and the customer service. I 💯 recommend this place. When we have the chance we’re definitely coming back.
