Kintersburg Covered Bridge

Nice preserved covered bridge. You can no longer drive over it, but you can cross by foot. We had fun exploring the area and reading the info inside the bridge. There are 3 other covered bridges in the county and all are decently close. Take a nice afternoon and visit them all!!

This is my second favorite of the covered bridges in Indiana County. I love that you can walk across the bridge, read a lot about the history of the bridge and also follow the creek down to explore. We found mushrooms, beautiful flowers, butterflies and a ton of racoon prints.

Was a last minute stop. Didn’t have my boots or jacket to get out and look at it. But it was still worth coming.

The KINTERSBURG covered bridge is a well kept bridge, but fair warning to those with phobias, you can see through the slats down to the creek as you walk across, but its safe.
There is a small turnoff on Musser Rd to the south of the bridge where you can park to walk over and admire.
Keep going south on Musser Rd and you run into Kinter Rd.

This is an old historic covered bridge that is bypassed, but still allows pedestrians to walk through it and take pictures. It is one of several covered bridges in Indiana County. There is a good place to park your vehicle. You can get good shots from all sides of the bridge.
