This little hole in the wall is located next to my dentist. Been wondering about this place for years and I finally paid a visit. I am very glad that i did.

There isnt any seated eating area, though roughly 8 chairs are provided for waiting on your order.

They provide a pretty extensive menu, I love steamed bao so I ordered two of all types! They were delicious, like warm clouds full of tasty meats and veggies. I also did the takoyaki with octopus, flavorful with a texture that you wont forget.

They do catering, I could do about 400 curry and pork bao!

Great authentic Japanese food. You can find food here you can't find at other Japanese restaurants like Takoyaki and steamed buns filled with pork and spam musubi. They also have a small selection of Japanese snacks. It's take out only so it's good to call ahead

This was my first time here. Great little takeout spot. The sushi was excellent!!! Very fresh. Went with a group and everyone loved it! Recommend calling in your order if possible.

Added 8/29/18: One of my favorite local spots now! No dining in, so be prepared for take out only. If you sign up for their email list they send you the weekly specials and a menu, so you always have it handy to call in an order! I've gone several times since the first experience in June and it's been EXCELLENT every time. Can't recommend the sushi enough!

The weekly special is delicious. I recommend calling ahead to place your order, because everything is made fresh. Make sure to sign up for the weekly email while you are in there, that way you know what is going to be served that week. The food is authentic Japanese food, and the customer service is always top notch.

One of the best kept secrets in all of Yakima County. Obento is a hole in the wall, but has the freshest and highest quality Traditional Japanese style food/snack that is offered in the County! It is true that it is hard to get fresh Yellowtail, Salmon, Tuna delivered to this area, but what Obento has somehow is always fresher then the other locations.

If you try any of the maki or small rolls, you'll notice an attention to the flavor of the vinegar rice along with the subtle hint of wasabi with fresh fish. If you try any of the udon/noodle dishes, the flavor of the home made broth paired with the chewy noodles hits home.

The service can be slow so it is recommended to dial in, in advance, especially during the Covid Pandemic time. The owner is an amazing older lady that makees all the dishes herself.

I'm from Southern California and there are a few places I miss for food there, especially good Japanese food but I found Obento House and oh my goodness the best little place in town. Best Steam bbq pork buns and everything is all hot and fresh. Definitely has become one of my favorite places.

One of the best Sushi spots in Yakima, the cooked meals also are so awesome, I wish I could eat here everyday. Yummy, Yummy, Yummmy! Thank you Obento House for making my belly happy. Don't forget, they close at 6, so get there before then.

I have heard good things about this place and finally got a chance to go…I will be back. I had the special (dimsum) and can’t say enough about how good it was. I also picked up a jar of the Oobaachan no “Shiso Maki”, something I had never heard of before, but one taste and it was like flash of my childhood (reminds me of the pickled plum I loved when I was a kid).

Take out is excellent here. Call in your order ahead of time and have it ready when you get there. Delicious fresh dishes and specials daily.

Such great preparation and wonderful ingredients. Love this place. A trip to Yakima isn't complete without a visit here.

AMAZING HOLE IN THE WALL PLACE!! The tokoyaki is beyond amazing and the lady who runs it is beyond nice, a great place for to-go, no seating so great lunch for work!
