What a great experience working with South Mountain Cycles “Chad,Scott,Derek and Sam”. They got me back on two wheels again. Great to work with, took me several attempts to get me the right bike I needed, based on my size “BIG”. I thought I gave them a challenge, but that didn’t stand a chance for them, they knew exactly what I need. I felt right at home with these fine folks, super knowledgeable, answered every question I had asked. They were willing to go above and beyond without hesitation. I’m already looking forward to take my bike back for service to relive that experience again with SMC. Highly recommended everyone from beginner to professionals

The best cycle shop around! They are the only ones who carry the Kids Ride Shotgun bike seat I was looking for for my grandson. Super helpful service, large inventory in the shop or they'll order anything for you. We're so glad to have it in town!!

5Apr23, I've never rode a bike before. Derek got me sized up, got the accessories I needed, gave me a few tips. It could not have been a better experience.

Update 13Aug23: Derek checked my bike once over before first triathlon, just 4 months after learning how to ride a bike. There's comfort in knowing you have the right equipment for you and it will work right. He explained the cross chain noise, gave me information on using my gears. I've gotta buy some shirts to rep these guys at my next race! Thank you so much!

I required the replacement of my handicapped walker brake cable. I received excellent service and the staff are first class. I’m gonna give South Mountain cycle a true five star rating for a couple different reasons. 1. They were the only shop locally that carried the 2021 model giant stance one full suspension bike. 2. The customer service that they show in the true attention to detail for caring about the customer is really something like I never seen. Even with all the pandemic stuff going on and how hot and humid it has been these workers have to stand outside during the day to wait on their customers. Even with their masks on and the heat they are very pleasant. The bike this old me has been nothing short of amazing. I bought a few extra accessories for the bike from them as well. If you’re in the Lehigh Valley and looking to pick up a mountain bike or any type of accessories or need work done on your bike I would definitely recommend them.

Great experience all around. Not only did they have the bike I was looking for during a time where bikes are hard to find, but they assembled and tuned it while I waited. Scott was a friendly and knowledgeable salesman and the service staff were friendly and knowledgeable as well. The store was clean and full of product. I would recommend this shop to anyone. This place is top-notch and I felt very comfortable there. Bikes are expensive but this is the best value I found in internet land before venturing out in the real world. Scott is super friendly and helpful, not pushy at all. On top of all that he attached my new rack to my trunk. Great experience!

Bikes are hard to find these days and was passing by and saw some on display on the sidewalk. Stopped and picked one up right away. Got my daughter a 24" Liv for her birthday. She loves it and the price was great. Will definitely be back.

Talk about personal service! I recently had a pretty good tumble on a gravel ride. Broke my helmet (it saved me) and tore my left shoe. Both are unusual sizes and models. They had my replacement helmet in two days and the shoes on a week. When each item arrived, i got a text letting me know. Like I said, service!

I recently stopped by his shop because there was a CUTCO rep there sharpening knives, and I have a bunch of CUTCO knives. While I was there, I perused the bike selection and talked to some of the technicians and general manager. Well mountain biking about 10 days ago the hanger broke on my current Trek which is about 12 years old and I decided that I wanted to repair the old bike and but a new one. These guys are really helpful. Very patient and actually talked me out of buying more expensive dual shock and I went with a hard tail that I really liked. They did a great job repairing my old bike and getting it ready for rail trails. I also brought my son’s Trek in and they took care of a brake cable problem he had. My daughter’s bike comes back from college and that needs a serious tuneup which they will be getting in a couple weeks. Overall, I’m quite pleased. Not to mention a Café has some really good coffee and some nice smells emanating from it.

Really excellent shop! Everybody is friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about bikes. I bought a bike here and it was a good experience. The team ensured I picked the right bike for my needs, and they’ve got a nice spot behind the building for test riding. I picked up a few accessories, too, and they installed them all professionally without a second thought or extra charge, which I appreciated.

On returning to the shop after I experienced some issues with my bike and had some questions, they handled my concerns the same day, even though I walked in without any sort of appointment. It’s clear to me that the South Mountain Cycle team has a genuine interest in their customers’ success and I’m proud to be a customer!

Update Aug. 31, 2022: I ran into another issue with my bike and had it in the shop for a little while without any resolution from the manufacturer. South Mountain Cycle took it upon themselves to order an entirely new bike, transfer over all my accessories, and told me the issues with the old bike shouldn’t be my concern — they’d figure it out with the manufacturer. I had a great experience before, but this was totally above and beyond any expectations!

I have had the hot coffee and cold brew here. Both are delicious. It is easy to find a place to park and the cafe is large and very clean and bright. The only negative for me is the bathrooms are pungent with some sort of air freshener or perfume smell. I am chemical sensitive and could taste the smell in my mouth for awhile after quickly using the bathroom and trying not to breathe. Great cafe, I highly recommend. Only caution is don’t use the restroom if you have any sensitivity to scents.

Fantastic local bike shop. Had to come in with an emergency tire replacement on hard body wheels on very short notice to make a flight for a vacation and the shop was able to jump right on it. It was a VERY tough job and even the owner was willing to pitch in to make sure it got done quickly and correctly. Great customer service. Check them out as they have a huge selection of bikes and a great coffee bar and cafe located on site.

Amazing service. Brought two lower end bikes to be adjusted. They couldn't be nicer...no upsell or judgment. They just recommended the work and did what was needed. They were efficient and price was much lower than I expected to pay. They did find one extra thing wrong with one of the bikes and recommended work but didn't force it. This was really a great experience. Their customer service was above and beyond. I'll definitely be back!

Newer to the area & looking for a good bike shop, needed adjustments, a tune up and replace some parts; they evaluated the bike, offered good suggestions without over selling their parts & services, and gave a price quote true to completion. It was just what I needed to get my bike in condition for an active spring & summer. I later learned other members in our community also had their bikes serviced there with complete satisfaction. Thanks for the great services!!!

Great staff that are friendly and knowledgeable. I know a decent amount for an amateur cyclist and the staff there were able to help me and answer all my questions I had. They offered sound advice and even fitted a tire for me to make sure it would fit my bike since I was upsizing. Overall great experience with the staff and selection of products in the store.

I wanted to take a minute to express our gratitude and satisfaction with our recent purchase and service experience at South mountain cycle. We dealt with Scott , Derrick and Mike during a multi visit experience. We purchased the right bike ( Liv Rove ) and several accessories installed on that one and another owner bike. We are thoroughly pleased with the facility , bike , installs , but most of all, it’s the personable , knowledgeable and thorough customer service experience we received throughout the process. I’m proud to post a 5 star customer service experience at South Mountain Cycle. I received 2 recent repairs and both times we were able to safely navigate around this pandemic and accomplish the repairs , payment , etc without me even having to exit the vehicle.
