Aci Halal Meat & Turkish Restaurant

We love Turkish food, we have a lot to compare from trips to Turkey and visits to many Turkish restaurants all over the world! And I've to say honestly this is one of the best!
The restaurant itself is not so nice, but the food is just delicious and very authentic. Their pita is so good, it was still warm when it came to the table, just perfect. Everything we got was seasoned to perfection. We got great recommendations from our waitress without even asking for them. Our waitress was really nice.
We will definitely come back! We can totally recommend this place!

We had the Adana kabob, Beyti Kabob, iskinder, and patlican soslu and they were all awesome. I strongly recommend this restaurant and will definitely come back.

We found Aci Halal and Turkish Restaurant while we were searching for a halal restaurant during a long trip. It is a gem hidden in the town! Food was delicious (suitable for most diverse populations especially for the Mediterranean lovers!) and serving was delightful. Sheyda was so kind and caring! Recommending all friends who are taking this route!

After visiting Türkiye several times, we’re always on the hunt for legit Turkish food. Aci Halal is absolutely amazing! We had babaganoush, imam bayildi and lamb kebab. The lunches came with lentil soup and we had çai too. Everything was delicious, authentic and fresh. The lamb was cooked perfectly and service was wonderful. We also picked up some spices and tea from the attached market. We would be here all the time if we lived in Allentown!

The place is halal! The place can use a little updating but the food is excellent! The brothers working at this place are super nice and friendly. We ordered the Iskendar and adani kebab and another adana kebob but a bit more spicy (it was mixed with extra spices). The serving portions are big. The iskendar I shared half with my brother and it was enough for both of us. It was very good and tasty. Same with the kebobs as well. Would definately recommend this place. Turkish food is excellent.

Lunch today, first time since COVID. Food as good as was before pandemic shutdown. A little wait but no problem.

We ordered chicken quarters and goat meat for Christmas dinner, and they were outstanding. The meat was of high quality; the chicken and goat were cut skillfully, and the chicken pieces were larger than expected. Prices were reasonable, and the staff was very accommodating and friendly - we will absolutely order from them again!

What a terrific Turkish restaurant! I randomly looked up Mediterranean restaurants in Allentown and read reviews. We needed to meet some friends and Allentown is the halfway point. The reviews were overwhelmingly positive for Aci Halal. So I called and made a reservation with a friendly woman on the phone.
When you arrive you enter through the food store and Halal meat market and go to the cozy dining room. There's around 10 or so tables. Not fancy but welcoming all the same
Well, the food was AMAZING and the service was great too! I felt like a special guest the entire time, like we were dining at a neighbor's home.
There's plenty of parking and you can get some takeout as well as seasoning and other goodies from the store.
ABSOLUTELY LOVED THE FOOD AND SERVICE!

My husband and I eat only Halal foods, and prefer restaurants that don't serve alcohol. This place checked those boxes and more ✅ Delicious food in huge portions (pictured: Iskandar & Chicken Chop), the accompanying grocery and butcher shop run we did was much needed. The staff were all so lovely. Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner, couldn't recommend it enough. Looking forward to future dinners/trips to the butcher!

2018 Review - You know those times you didn't plan to stop but are so happy you did? This was definitely one of those. The lamb was well seasoned and fresh. The eggplant had a smokey good flavor. And my favorite part of the meal was the pillowy warm bread (trucked in fresh from NewJersey weekly) and the very good hand blended Turkish hot tea made from 5 or 6 different loose teas for a very nice experience.

This is such an excellent restaurant!! Authentic, fresh and delicious. I have waited 3+ years for this space to re-open. They have only gotten better.

Great food, very friendly service, and reasonable prices. Loved the mixed grill, hummus, and beyti kabab the most.

We have not been here since covid. Before we would go for lunch but this time we went for early Saturday dinner. Food is very tasty and plentiful. We had Sheppard salad, doner and kofte which comes with rice pilaf, lettuce salad and a very spicy charred pepper. Fresh bread also. Hot tea-also excellent. It’s average in price but you will have leftovers probably for another full meal. Surprisingly it’s BYOB. Staff is very welcoming and attentive. Turkish music and video playing in the background. We definitely would visit again. Very enjoyable, low key dinner. BTW you are able to make reservations and by observation I would say it’s recommended.

I found Aci restaurant through a google search on my way home from a travel. The food and service are great! It’s a family owned restaurant and small grocery/meat shop. The location seems a bit rundown but the food &service is a real gem.
Will definitely reroute my future travel through here

So I've been to this place twice already because the food was so great!! You have to try the lamb because they have the best tasting, non-gamey, fresh lamb I've had in any restaurant even including more expensive places!! It's a rather deceiving little, unassuming place but dont let that fool you! Everything is soo fresh and delicious tasting!!

We always make a point to stop by for a great middle eastern meal every time we visit Allentown. This past experience was just as good as always. The staff was most friendly and caring about our experience, the meal was tasty, freshly prepared with generous portion. Not a fancy place, but well worth a visit.
