I love this place. Many don’t know it is also red balloon cider. The vibe is great, the food is phenomenal, and the ciders were unique and delicious. The roll was glorious! They heard me say I would have loved to try the dry cider with cheddar AND BROUGHT ME CHEDDAR. rockstars!

We love everything about Switchback. The fresh sourdough, local ingredients, the creative menu. Andrew is so kind to us and always goes out of his way to chat with my son about his favorite toy of the day. The Happy Pig is one of our go-to pizzas and we also love the not too sweet ciders. A definite gem of Emmaus.

First time there and we loved the appetizer served with olive oil and balsamic vinegar and the delicious pepperoni pizza (couldn’t even wait for the picture). I highly recommend!

This pizza is world class and inappropriately good for the area. The owners care about ingredients and their craft and it shows. 10/10 perfect marks. We buy frozen pizzas from them all the time because no other takeout could possibly be better.

This is by far the best pizza you will ever have, and worth every penny! The Detroit style pizza, only made on Saturdays is the go to pizza of this restaurant! I’m going back tomorrow, and I can’t wait to try the chocolate mousse, they had a little issue with it last weekend, and they switched the salt and sugar by accident. Looking forward to trying the happy pig as well as I love bacon

I happened on this place this afternoon while on my way to Funk Brewing (about 100 yards away across the railroad tracks). The pizza was one of the best I've ever had! Wow. The crust was amazing - soft with just the right amount of chewiness. The ingredients (sausage, bacon, cheese, and sauce) were excellent. I sat at their small bar and watched the pizzas being made. The staff were friendly and upbeat. Nice vibe with a brisk takeout business in the late afternoon. The beer list was well curated. I will certainly be back (I live about an hour away, unfortunately). I didn't bring my phone inside - so I don't have any photos to post.

This place is such a gem! We stopped by on a road trip to central PA, and it was definitely worth the stop. Extremely fresh ingredients and they make it right in front of you. It is some of the freshest pizza of this style that I have had in the US. Similar to pizza I had in Italy!

Some of the best pizza I've had in Pennsylvania and I've lived here for 30+ years. Switchback is located right next to the train tracks in Emmaus and is a rather small operation, yet the focus on service, food, and beverage is anything but small. I was fortunate enough to be invited to a friend's birthday dinner at Switchback where we ordered several pizzas and a smaller plates along with a selection of their ciders. Holy. Cow. While everything, and I mean everything, was delicious the standout was the Detroit-style pizza. I've been dreaming about it since I had it. I will continue to do so until I have it again. It's only available on Saturdays and for good reason because something this good can't just exist all the time - it's against the laws of physics I think. Beyond the pizza, the variety of homemade ciders is incredible. Finally, the service is just wonderful. Our server was so sweet and accommodating, it truly made the already fantastic experience even better. I can't say enough good about Switchback Pizza Company so I'll stop here and just suggest you go immediately.

We love their pizza and my favorite part of the meal is the must-have Ricotta Cheesecake! They have indoor seating year round. We also purchase items like quality balsamic and breads. Check them out!

Hidden gem in Emmaus! Excellent all around, great service, food was delicious and cidery was wonderful too! So many options. Quick and timely service. I am so excited already to go back again!

Some of the best pizza that I’ve had! They grow their garlic on site, and it’s AMAZING. Ask for fresh ciabatta and garlic and you can make your own super fresh garlic bread scooping as much as you want on. Very limited seating, but it’s worth a wait if they’re packed.

Great pizza! Not overly salted, fresh tasting, and very different from the usual NY style we usually get around here, (there's nothing wrong with NY style).
It seems most of the ingredients are local sourced, including the meat. We tried The Happy Pig, Marguerita, Kids Plain, and a special with Meatballs. They were all excellent.
Service was great, poor guy was the only one there when it opened, but he had no problem handling a first timer.
It's a little on the small side, and right against the railroad tracks, I think it was a depot station at one time.
They also offer uncooked, sealed, frozen pizzas, which I will definitely be trying.

BEST pizza in the Lehigh Valley. Ricotta cheesecake is fantastic. All locally sourced ingredients. It takes quite some time to get your food, but it's worth the wait. I wish there was more seating, though.

Switchback has to be the best Brick Oven Pizza in Lehigh Valley! The crust is well done, yet still chewy and flavorful. We had the Margherita this time and wouldn't change a thing. Fresh ingredients made for a perfect pie. Also, a delicious arugula salad with a twist of a wild rice, sweet potato and walnut added. What a great idea! Can't wait to go back. You have to treat yourself to this pizza, it's so delicious and fresh. The ciabatta is a must, and the Detroit style pie will change your life. Eat in, you want this food right outta the oven.

If you care about businesses that really care about what they do, you gotta to support places like Switchback. They're truly an Emmaus treasure.

Small place but the brick oven pizza is great. Good portions. Local brews available as well. Good small local business.
