Taqueria El Paraiso

This is THE MOST AUTHENTIC Mexican food in all of NEPA. I was fortunate enough to try rhis establishment out today and was amazed. The service here was amazingly fast and the food was great. They have a diverse menu that is straight out of Mexico, not some white washed version of it. If you want the real deal, check this place out

Went to Wilkes barre for a concert and was craving Mexican food. The location looks a little suspect coming from the outside, but going in everyone was friendly. Super authentic Mexican food, friendly staff, extensive menu and everything was delicious. Salsas were all very good, which is awesome considering you get free chips while waiting for your meal! If I’m ever back in the area I’ll be back.

Almost passed by this delightful gem , the food was delicious . We ordered the birria tacos and garlic shrimp with rice and beans. It was so flavorful. I’ll definitely will be coming back❤

Went here and got three tacos: beef, carnitas, and shrimp. All three were delicious! They are corn tortillas and doubled up, which is a great bonus. Served with cilantro, onions, and limes. I tried the avocado salsa which has a little bit of heat to it. They have two other spicer ones I didn’t try. Service was really friendly and quick. They also have other things on the menu like burritos, tostados, flautas (trying them next!!). They also have a variety of different meats to choose from. I did take out but they do have seating inside.

Excellent authentic Mexican food. Solid menu and service was awesome. Smaller restaurant if you plan on dining in and I highly recommend the Chipotle Chicken Tacos!!!

Authentic Mexican food. Very nice place and EXTREMELY clean. We had a fabulous lunch trying new things and loved every bit of it. The staff was friendly and the prices were great.
Some of the more popular “mexican” places in the area are simply a fast food version of real Mexican food. This is the real deal.

I've lived here in Wilkes Barre for quite some time, been here a few time and food is good but today, OMG the tacos were extremely Delicious. I brought food over to my kids and they were delighted. The ladies who had my order ready were extremely friendly and courteous. I will be going there more often.. vamonos Reziiiiooo mi Raza💪💪

Mexican food at its finest. The people are really nice and the food and service was great. The restaurant is small and welcoming, it gives you a feeling like your in your grandma's kitchen. 10/10 would recommend

The food was amazing I have not had a Tostada this good in I can't tell you how long! The atmosphere was fun. I loved eating here! The people working smiled and were happy. The food came out quick and taste even better!

No lie this is the best Mexican spot in the area everything here is at the least decent the sopes 🔥 burrito 🔥 quesadilla 🔥 tacos 🔥 tortas 🔥 I've been going here for over 2 years everything may not be "the best you ever had" but for this area this is the most authentic spot and not only that prices are reasonable and food is amazing 9.5/10 highly recommended

This place is amazing!! I've tried many Mexican food spots in the area and this is by far the best one! The food is sooo delicious! I can't wait to go back and try more!

Some of the best Mexican food I’ve had! Fresh homemade corn chips! I asked the server about garlic in the hot sauce and she brought out hot sauce without garlic because of a food allergy. We appreciated that very much! Would highly recommend.

I ate their burritos and guacamole and everything tasted so fresh. The woman who took our order was very sweet and the music playing was beautiful. This restaurant is also immaculate. Very sanitary. Will definitely go back ☺
