I had stage 1 pancreatic cancer surgery by Dr Joseph Blansfield MD and his team. I am thankful and appreciate they saved my life. From the day it was descovered to surgery was around 45 days. The nurses in the cancer rooms were all great and took excellent care of me. It was a holiday weekend and seemed like they needed more than two nurses per 12 hour shift. The only issue was the food dept kept sending me food that tasted terrible or food that wasn't suppose to be given to me. Since I am a diabetic and my sugar level was extremely high and was getting double doses of insulin in the hospital. Didn't eat much because of that when hospitalized. Had a medical issue three days after discharge. When nurse Casey called and I told her how I was she told me to come in immediately, Dr Blansfield and his two nurses treated me and by the time I left I had a vast improvement and was feeling great by the end of the day. I highly recommend Dr Blansfield, his team and the Henry Cancer center for an excellent job.

I went to the breast care and imaging center today 9/7/23. I must say that Marie was phenomenal. She is friendly, caring, thoughtful and intuitive. She went above and beyond to ensure my visit was quick and painless. The rest of the staff were amazing too. Tammy was patient and friendly during our interaction but Marie really stood out to me as her whole presence was graceful and welcoming.

My daughter had surgery at this hospital back in July, and everyone was amazing. The doctors were kind, but I have nothing but good things to say about her nurse she had while in recovery the most caring lovely person I think I have ever met treated my daughter like one of her own thank you Nurse Susan R you are the best

Jason in radiology was amazing.The test was not a comfortable one, but he made everything from the iv to transitioning easy. His attention to my comfort was great!On the way out I got to see their amazing gift shop

Great experience here when my mom had emergency bi-pass surgery. Her ICU team post-op were incredible, made sure she was comfortable, kept us updated on her recovery and what to expect. The PT team was caring and listened to my mom in what she felt she could and couldn't do. She was transferred to the heart hospital after ICU and her ICU team called to let us know where she would be in the morning. The heart hospital team was also so incredible, kind and caring.

I cannot say thank you enough to the staff in the ER today. My young daughter presented symptoms of a concussion, and was vomiting and lethargic prior to me taking her in. From the start of our experience to our discharge, the entire staff who we interacted with was excellent in helping to get her checked quickly. We are so grateful to everyone. Thank you!

I recently had to be admitted through emergency for a fall and a hip fracture, resulting in a total hip replacement. I was in on Thurs and out with a new hip by Sunday! All the staff, nurses, doctors, orderlies and everyone involved in my care were outstanding. The staff from the ER examining room to my own room, and pre/post-op were all excellent. The doctors on call each day would visit and discuss my situation, explaining the entire process, and the nurses were exceptional -- so friendly, cheerful, and supportive! Top notch care, I couldn't have asked for better.

A few weeks ago I had an unfortunate accident that resulted in a dislocated and broken shoulder. I was brought by ambulance to Geisinger’s Emergency department. The entire staff from physicians, nurses and techs were wonderful. I was treated promptly and with compassion. Everything was explained thoroughly and I felt comfortable. Thanks all! I’ve had other Emergency room experiences that were not too great in the past.

Had an episode while leaving a radiology appointment. Employees noticed immediately and started to render care and called for the Rapid response team. Suddenly surrounded by many nurses and even a doctor to help. Transported to the ER and was continuously monitored and checked on. Fortunately was stabilized and sent home within a few hours.

They did a fantastic job with my mom. Within a half hour of getting a bed in the ER she had 3 tests completed and got an MRI Within 2 hours of it being ordered. They moved, all of them, doctors, nurses, transport. I am very grateful for their professionalism and their caring manner. Great job !!

My family member had a traumatic accident and was taken to Wyoming Valley Geisinger. Their treatment was top notch. I want to thank all of the treatment team, including nurses, doctors, APPs, respiratory therapists, physical therapists, and management. My family member received tremendous care during his time and grateful for everyone involved. Thank you.

I’ve been a frequent flyer @GWV and must say the care I have received through all specialists ICU doctors/hospitalists down to housekeeping. I’ve had amazing top of the line care my last was a thyroidectomy which doctors worked on other medical conditions (i’m a complex case) I wish I could give them all daisy’s . They treated me in a professional manner yet with a bit of home . Thank you for believing in me . My last experience literally could make my lifestyle better I can’t pick names for All of my Doctors are from Geisinger . Thanks again ! My family thanks you as well!

I took my daughter to the ER for a sports injury to her hand. We were triaged and X-rayed timely. The nurses were pleasant and kind and answered all our questions. The X-ray results were read by the radiologist quickly and the doctor explained the unfortunate fracture to us and was very thorough with the next steps we needed to take in our healing process. Check out was a breeze. Definitely our go to ER for future injuries.

I have to give them 5 stars. I went in dealing with a gallbladder attack and they understood my level of pain and the care was as exceptional as I could've hoped for, they didn't cheap me on pain meds, the bed was comfortable given my condition and they got me in for surgery the very next morning.

Dr. Wetzel in labor and delivery is the type of doctor EVERY doctor should strive to be like! He came in on his day off just to deliver our child. He and his staff have been amazing and deserve recognition for what they bring to this hospital.

Emergency room visit - found them to be efficient and all staff extremely knowledgeable and polite. Emergency room visits are always a challenge and observation is some patients do not understand although they maybe in pain often there are more severe cases that may take priority. The emergency room was packed as well as rooms even with qualified efficient staff it may take anywhere from 4-7 hours depending on need for testing. I found them always attentive and the efficiency could not be matched. There were 2 trauma case that came during my time there which delayed the CT scan but the staff notified me of delays and kept me informed which was greatly appreciated. I could also hear that trauma case were coming in where needs trumped mine. I was kept comfortable through any delays. I have had 2 surgeries in prior years and always had excellent service and results. They have a new hospital in South Wilkes-Barre which may not have been as crowed, however I have not used them yet and if I do I hope to have the same experience as WY Valley😀👍Debi Schauss

Wife broke her foot in three places. Emergency care was A+++++. Fast care, professional care second to none with fantastic follow care. Love Geisinger and glad we are only minutes away to such a great organization.
