Hartman Jerk Center

I love hartmans when we moved from NJ to throop my only requirements for myself when house shopping was being within a half hour of a good jamaican spot. I was not disappointed the last few years I was very much a regular enjoying there food the great vibe inside an lovely convos with the owner.
I had heath issues so it had been a while ,but before I had surgery I needed my fav food.
I was greated with such a warm family feeling that I remembered. The food possible better than I remembered or I just missed it that much . I stocked up coco bread, jerk chicken ,curry chicken, stewed chicken. My favorites and always amazing i Ate some and froze some for after surgery . The frozen dishes heated up perfectly 🥰 my only regret is I didn't buy more .
You can not go wrong with hartmans the food is great the prices amazing,good portions. If you like to cook they sell jaimacan grocery items and again they also offer frozen dishes that heat up amazing.just as good as what they serve in restaurant Certainly helping me heal quick . I love hartmand there food ,and the family that owned

We just needed a quick stop as we were driving past Wilkes-Barre on our way out of town and found some great and easy eats at Hartman’s Jerk Center! Had the fried fish with rice and peas. The fish was moist and flavorful and the man who helped us was kind and friendly. Had a cool Jamaican soda with grapefruit called Ting that I really enjoyed.

I had the jerk chicken and mac&cheese today, and let me tell you. When I took the first bite off that fork something inside me unraveled. Like the ribbon unraveling off those presents in Christmas commercials. I have NEVER had chicken this tender and flavorful before. Good God thinking about it makes me sad, as if it was the one that got away. I wish I could show yall a picture but I ate that plate up. LIKE IT WAS SOOOO GOOD GUYS. IT FELL OFF THE FREAKING BONE TOO. The day was a cold crisp rainy spring day, but that food made me feel like I was a video vixen sitting on a foreign beach with some type of fruity alcohol. As the sun blazed down on my silky soft skin, with its soft warm rays, and the air filled with the aromas of smoked spices coming from the chicken being cooked. Anyways it was good. 10/10 would definitely recommend 🏃🏽‍♀

The oxtails and rice hit. I love all the rice. The plantains are also good.

Moved out of WB 2 years ago and visited so I decided to try it again. Still great food. The jerk chicken and pork with rice and peas is my favorite, gotta put the jerk sauce on the rice too.

Great food and really good prices. Big portions! My favorite place for quick and delicious take out.... definitely recommend

I drove an hour to come get some food that was out of the ordinary, where i live, theres really only pizza and wings and hoagies and chinese and that gets old fast. I did a quick search for food and found this little place, I had never had jamaican food before, but I decided that I was gonna try it, so I picked up my brother and we made the drive. It took an hour drive to get there and found out theres no dine in, and I'd have to drive back with my food for another hour. I ordered the Oxtail with white rice and cabbage, and a side order of plantains, and everything, I mean EVERYTHING was amazing. The Little Ol' Lady that made the food clearly put her heart and soul and love into her cooking because every single bite I ate of that food was immaculate, flavorful, and so well prepared I felt guilty that I didnt have to pay more for my meal. Honest to goodness, 10/10 worth the drive, worth the time it took standing in line, worth the drive back, the food from this place didnt just nourish my body, it made me feel like there was nothing wrong in the world the whole time I was enjoying my food. So good, cant tell you enough how good it is, I really cant. Just go try it.

What a great place to get food. I've never been to the Hartman Jerk Center before tonight being new to wilkesbarre but I've walked by it a few dozen times. I wasn't sure what I wanted to eat and I was able to taste 2 styles of chicken,ox tail,jerk pork and goat. I've tried goat a few times and umm it was nasty and goat flavored but here it was delicious no strange taste or chewyness. I got a large pork meal with rice+beans, sweet plantains, and collard greens. Everything is delicious the pork is tender has a good jerk seasoning taste. The rice is cooked perfectly and the plantains were sweet and flavorful. I will be back for the home made mac and cheese and much more ! The owner and the guy working the counter were both kind and friendly it makes a big difference when I get food to go and people are courteous .

This is my fourth visit and I have yet to have anything that hasn't blown my mind. The fact that they do Curry better than the curry place next door is insane. The prices are phenomenal, they're credibly kind and welcoming. Love it so much. Thank you.

My experience was great good food love it will keep going back, seasoned perfectly. Staff was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We were going to eat someplace else but this place looked so interesting. WOW what an amazing place to eat! I know that we will be ordering again! Great place!

Definitely worth checking out if you're interested in something a lil different. I only had a few samples but what I did have is worth a second look. Owner was very inviting.

Excellent!!! The staff are very Courteous and Polite. They have that Home Feeling that you look for when you go to restaurants. I will be going back real soon.

Tasty food. Everything I've had is good, oxtails, stew chicken, peas and rice, goat meat, etc. They serve good portion size., never disappointed.

Good food in a family setting! They are ALWAYS accomadating and make fish fresh to order! Great food and would highly recommend it!
