We had a great experience. It's very nice to have a multi talented hair stylist and barber in Abington. Since asian hair is so thick and straight. He cut my boys hair in 15 minutes. Very precise and quick with his razor work. He did a great job!!! It is very hard to find a salon that knows how to cut it. I would definitely be back if I were in the area.

Definitely give this place a shot! I needed a last minute haircut for an interview and my regular salon was closed. I called and he said to come on over. He was super detailed and really did a great job. One of the best cuts I’ve had in a while! I felt super confident going into the interview. Thanks so much!

Really great experience coming here! It's appointment only during the pandemic and the whole place feels very clean. Masks are required the whole time and I felt very safe getting my first hair cut in 9 months.

Prices are very good, and Jeff really listened to what I wanted and didn't cut too much off. I love my new haircut and I will be coming back!

Found this hair salon after looking for 50 million years for a Japanese Straightening treatment. He was very nice and explained everything over the phone, but he still has to see your hair in person and let you know if its a good fit for you. The salon is fairly new and very clean. I have sensitive scalp and they were very gentle with my hair. We started my treatment at 11:30am and I was finished at 5pm so plan your day accordingly. The owner was very down to earth and personable. I will go back :)

fast and quality service! usually I have anxiety when I get my hair cut since I've gone to many stylists who don't know how to cut Asian hair but happy to report that is not the case here. the stylist listened to my needs and didn't cut too much

I got my daughters hair colored here because the place has good reviews and from what I heard, good prices. My daughter and I really enjoyed our visit and the end results. The stylist was kind and attentive and made my very shy daughter comfortable and happy. We were there for a long time but I was happy that he wasn't willing to risk the results by rushing the process. He used low chemicals to ensure her hair would stay healthy. While I was there, 3 different customers came up to me to make friendly conversation and rave about the place. We didn't wait at all even though we had no appointment. They offered treats and drinks while we were waiting for her hair and gave great tips for how to care for her and my hair. I will certainly be back

Listen, this will be the fastest, most efficient haircut you’ve ever had. Olive Garden has a 20 minute wait? No worries, you’ll be ready before the beeper flashes. Bring a picture of the haircut for him to copy though. Seriously, people; look at me in my eyes. Bring. A. Picture. 😳

I happened to read about this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Jeff was very friendly and extremely kind. I got my haircut the first time and returned to get a balayage. His haircut skills are better than some of the more expensive salons I have been to (I have curly hair). I will definitely be returning and recommending this place to others!

Admittedly, I stumbled upon this place after my first choice was closed. But being such a big believer in nothing happens by chance, I was meant to come to this salon. I called in advance to see if he had an opening for a color and cut, which he did so I arrived within an hour of calling. Jeff greeted me upon my arrival and went straight to business. I always know what I want in a haircut but when it comes to color, I must admit I can be a little indecisive, but Jeff was incredibly patient and really took his time to guide me and understand what I was looking for. He had an impressive breadth of knowledge of hair coloring and how those colors would fade to over time - certainly a topic you'd think every hair stylist would know but in my experience, this is certainly not the case. I opted for balayage highlights, which takes a lot of intention with where to place the color - Jeff was certainly very mindful, even in the midst of having a full-on conversation with me haha and his hair-cutting skills are just as impressive. He is very well-versed in Asian hair so the way he layered and trimmed my hair was nothing short of excellent. High marks everywhere!!

But perhaps what really impresses me about Jeff is not just his hair styling and coloring skills, but his pursuit of the American dream. As a child of immigrant parents, I empathized with his immigrant story. From what he has shared, after years of working for various salons, he ventured to open his own which is this salon now. He has been open for just about 2 years now but the with the current pandemic, his brick-and-mortar establishment has taken a financial hit - a narrative we all know too well by now. If not for his impressive hair skills (and good conversations - Jeff is a great conversationalist!), please help in changing the narrative of small businesses suffering during these times. I loved the experience, it has been almost a decade since Ive been to a hair salon. JJ did a great job I went in for a japanese straightening perm and a hair cut as well. He took my extremely damaged hair and made it more healthy not only that but it was more smoothier and shinier. Overall great experience. Don't forget to Tip 🙂 I will be coming back again.

They did a great job. I have naturally thick, damaged, curly hair, and hair stylists usually complain that it's a lot to work with. But the stylist did a better cut than even some of the most professional salons I've gone to and did it with less product and at a much better value.

I had an excellent experience. Jeff is friendly and professional. He does a good job and does not talk you into products or anything like that. He is very easy to talk to about what you want done. Excellent prices. I hope everyone can give the salon a try!!

Decided to go to the salon based on reviews, and I was not disappointed! A great experience from start to finish, and I couldn’t be happier with the result. The best part? No products like mousse or hairspray were used in my hair. It feels great! I have found my new go-to place for hair.

JJ Hair Salon is a very well kept and clean hair salon. I received the best hair cut and perm I've ever been given and I've received so many compliments! I have so much confidence and happiness when I look in the mirror and see my hair.

I always talk about “My Man, JJ”, that does my hair. My entire life going into adulthood, I’ve dreaded getting a haircut. I started cutting my own hair. Finally when it was too long to manage myself, JJ was brought into my life. He answers all my questions and helps me with making my hair it’s healthiest. I’ve been to him multiple times, and now I have the name of shampoo! 😝 I listened to his instructions, and now my hair is better then ever. I have a ton of hair! It’s fine with a combination of breakage and new growth and is extremely long. I’m going again today!
