The Cedars Floating Restaurant

Was going to have almost a 1.5 hour wait for a table, so we sat at the "bar". The bar had dining height chairs, and the bar itself was sunk into the floor! Score #1 immediate seating. Everything was excellent! Staff, food, drinks, dessert 🍨, atmosphere! All is it...

It was our first visit to Cedars and it was more than we expected. Very nice atmosphere and some people were dressed casually others more formally.
It was busy and a little noisy with the sounds of people having fun. We each had a cocktail I had the Key Lime Pie martini my husband had the margarita. Both were good. Dinners come with clam Chowder or trip to salad bar. I went with the Chowder which was thick and creamy (very good) my husband made a trip to the salad bar. Basic items nothing out of the ordinary but very fresh items.
I had Lobster tails, yes instead of steak & lobster I had 2 tails which were excellent with a Idaho baked potato. My husband had the scallops that came on a bed of mashed potatoes. He said they were very good. To top dinner off we shared what they call a mile high pie. Very good.
We enjoyed ourselves very much and look forward to going back.

Our food was delicious! The salad bar is fresh with a large selection. Our meals were amazing but we still couldn't pass up dessert so we took that to go!

I never order Fried chicken, but when I saw this I was intrigued. It was a layer of red mashed potatoes covered with a layer of jalapeno corn pudding, topped with 2 boneless chicken breasts. There was a country chicken gravy under it all decorating the plate. Then there was a chipotle maple sauce to pour over it. It was a lot of food and I had to take about half of it with me for later. The jalapeno gave it a nice bite. The gravy gave it creaminess and the chipotle maple sauce gave it the salty, spicy, sweet zing. When combined with the extra crispy moist chicken breast meat all the textures and seasonings created a flavor explosion. It was truly a unique dish. The staff gave us really great service. Then the restaurant floating on the beautiful Coeur d Alene lake gave so much ambience. It was a great experience.

Fantastic experience! This restaurant has beautiful views of Coeur D'Alene lake. Its so fun to feel the restaurant move since its floating on the lake. The lights are always swinging slighly. The food was extraordinary. Steak cooked perfectly. Beautiful large shrimp, really good clam chowder, beautiful salad bar. Large drink selection, very attentive staff. Wonderful place. Make reservations and don't forget to specify window table or outside for the best views.

📣 Great table with amazing lake views 🌄 made the wonderful service and cocktails🍻 memorable before supper. Tremendous 🥗salad bar! Great Prime Rib value here. We also enjoyed a robust 🦐 Shrimp Scampi meal leaving us very full & delighted. Left pleased after desert & fresh coffee.☕

5 stars!! This place was great! If you get a little sea sick, I suggest you ask for indoor seating. We ate outdoors and it was a perfect temperature and just beautiful! The food was great and the service even better! Highly recommend!

Friendly and attentive wait staff. Well stocked and delicious salad bar. You get a choice of clam chowder or salad with your entree. My Salmon which was perfectly cooked was well accompanied with asparagus and potatoes. The ribeye was a big portion with a great flavor. I recommend the cake and crème brûlée. Both were delectable!

The outside venue was amazing! Our kids were amazed of the full view as the water was hitting the restaurant just perfect! I loved everything as well but the dish was probably one of the best scallops I've ever had! "Melts in your mouth" good!
I am definitely going to be back !

Been here a few times and this last time the food was amazing. 3 of the 4 of our party had the filet burger and let me tell you it could be the best burger I've ever had. The other person had the Cedar Plank Salmon and that was moist and juicy. The ambiance is fantastic and if you come in the warmer months you can sit outside. Anyways this is a great local restaurant 👌

We had a lovely afternoon at Cedars celebrating our 40th anniversary. They had a table reserved for us at one of the best seats in the house which had some rose petals spread on the table and a card wishing us a Happy Anniversary. Our hostess was kind and also wished us a happy anniversary. Emily, our waitress, was attentive and helpful. We loved the music selections! We both had the Salmon Oscar, which was outstanding with the perfect amount of crab. Complements to the chef! We enjoyed the salad bar and were well satiated. We'll be back!

Beautiful place, great service. The seafood risotto was delicious with really rich sauce, cute little clams, and huge shrimp.

A beautiful restaurant with wonderful service. Every time we go it’s always amazing. We recently went for our anniversary and they were very thoughtful. We will definitely be back.

Came for the first time with the in laws for belated mother's day dinner. The place was packed for a Wednesday night. We called ahead and reserved a table in advance. Service was great, attentive staffs. We were really surprised at the portion size, I think their prime rib can feed 2 people. We ordered: smoked trout, clam, salmon risotto, prime rib, scallops, creme brulee and flour less cake. Out of all the food, we were not a fan of risotto due to the fact that it was too creamy for our taste and the flour less cake was too dense. Overall, great food, great scenery and great service. Will definitely come back!

We celebrated our 32nd anniversary at Cedars. It didn't disappoint. Waitress Jaime was on it, never had to wait for her, she stopped by frequently to ask if we needed anything and she was rather fun. Also the young women who stayed on top of our water and cleaning off our table was very sweet and served us with a smile. Had a great evening, the food was awesome.

Intimate and enjoyable evening. We come here on most of our anniversaries, special events and have enjoyed the many interactions we have with the staff. We were seated by the window overlooking beautiful Lake CoeurdAlene.

Beautiful place on CDA lake to eat. The halibut and scallops were to die for. Hands down the best scallops I've ever had. Drinks were great and the apps were outstanding also. Highly recommend

This was a wonderful meal! We walked over from the Blackwell Island RV Resort. Only about a 12 minute walk to this floating restaurant. Dinner was amazing and watched the sea planes land and take off. Staff was attentive, service was very good and atmosphere was picture perfect. ⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐
