Rite Aid

I am actually rating one particular employee who has worked at this Rite Aid for many years. Her name is Shannon. Shannon is absolutely amazing! No matter how bad everything else gets at this location (and believe me, they go through some spells where it's a mess but they also have spells where they are doing better) I know if I ask for Shannon, she is going to either know how to get things done or she will go far above the call of duty to figure out how to do it. I have been battling a vicious autoimmune disease for almost half my life so my local pharmacy is an imperative part of my healthcare. As I'm sure many people know, our health insurance companies are not our friends and they try to get out of paying for as much as they think they can get away with. Shannon has helped me so many times with getting medications approved. She always has a smile for you even when they have a line that goes all the way to the front of the store. I really hope that Rite Aid corporate office sees this review and rewards Shannon for her many years of hard work and dedication to not only rite Aid but to her customers.
Note:
Many people do not realize that they can appeal a decision to not cover something by their insurance company. Now you do. Never take no for an answer because that is what they are hoping you will do. At least 75% of the time I have been able to get things covered in an appeal. You just have to be willing to jump through their hoops and stay on their case
. thank you Shannon for being so amazing. We all have the ability to be amazing but many are not willing to put the effort towards it. Shannon is.

I was having an issue with my Dr's office faxing my script, finally Shannon called the after hours nurse who contacted the Dr. and they worked out and I had my script within 20 minutes. Shannon is one of those rare people that truly cares and she is always willing to help.

I just want to say how appreciative I was for the effort that the pharmacy crew put in when my dad came for his vaccine. They were running a couple of people down and were extremely busy but the lady helping us was patient and very friendly. (I am sorry I do not remember her name)

Could not be more impressed by how friendly and helpful was the staff, both pharmacy and front counter. We came for our first Covid shot and were engaged by the nicest, most helpful staff I've met.

As with any rite aid you always want to use your rite aid card as the stores regular prices tend to be high but this rite aid has had some terrific staff throughout the years

Very helpful staff and pharmacists who consistently go above and beyond to help the customer!

Use them all the time for different items besides meds. Really have no complaints with the convenience of location and service.

The pharm staff is moody. However they are good at what they do and will take care do you quickly.

Had a 12:40 covid and flu shot appointment only to find no one available to administer shot. At $4.00 a gallon for gas this is unacceptable. Clerk found it amusing that I expected the online scheduler to actually work. I will go to CVS from now on.

Went to pick up my prescription of prenatal vitamins the clerk hands me someone else's medicine didn't even check I realized after I got in my car and took bottle out of bag. This was someone's heart medication this could have easily made me very sick as being pregnant. Clerk didn't even seem to care when I brought it back in names weren't even close to being the same

Placed an order online to refill a prescription at 8:20am, said it would be done after1:00 pm .Went into pick the prescription up at 5:00pm. Still was not done! So if you have a prescription that needs to be placed or refilled. I would suggest not going to the Duncannon Rite Aid .I gave it one star because I could not give it no stars!!!

They said the prescription would be ready bu 2:50 PM I called it in at 8:00am , I stopped at 3:30 to pick up my husband's prescription and once again it was not finished they said it would be only a half hour the pharmacist just went on break I told them I live 45 min away the lady didn't bat an eye well low and behold 5:30 PM I got a call my script was ready , very poor time management not everyone lives within the community of the pharmacy.

WILL NOT COME BACK TO THIS STORE OR ANY RITE AID STORES. MY GRANDSON PURCHASE wrong item and went back to exchange it. He was told that he could only get $4.00 back on the item which cost him $9.00 because he lost his receipt. He did not want the money just to exchange it and was not allowed to. Rite aid made out getting $5.00. Beware of this store policy.
