Roberto Clemente Playground

Roberto Clemente Playground is the go-to spot in Philly for some fun under the sun. It’s got everything you need for a chill day out: cool play areas for the kiddos, plenty of space to kick back, and it’s all named after a baseball legend. Whether you’re looking to shoot some hoops or just hang with friends, this place is a neighborhood gem.

It is a very nice park that has a little bit of everything. The splash park is great in the summer. The park has a very diverse population that visit which makes it great and nice to see all the children playing together. Love this park!

Came here because of fresh prince of course!

I love going here for the free library, every other month I go and get myself and my daughter a book. No dogs allowed here either.

Nice park located on 18th st. Has things for small children to play on. Parking is hard to find.

The kids had so much fun in the playground, but the most fun they had was in the splash pad!

Really fun. Beautiful murals and mosaics on the rec center. The sprayground was perfect too. Walked two blocks to a delicious lunch. Nice people at the park. Diverse group. Philly at its best.

Last week Thursday I received an invitation to join the Mural Arts of Philadelphia and Alumbra Sunset lighting installation event at the Mt. Vernon Street walkway adjacent to the Roberto Clemente Park.
The events consisted of students who created the beautiful artwork on the walk way.

Nice spacious playground with splash pad for the summers. Generally geared towards older toddlers and big kids.

At the playground is where I spent most of my days chilling out max and relaxing all cool shooting some B-Ball outside of this school!

Very nice community park. This neighborhood used to be rough I live not too far from there. if the rest of the city could learn how to pick themselves up they could also be nice like this park and this community. But some neighborhoods do not want to step up and be good citizens. this park is no Easter as a beautiful garden basketball courts all kinds of things to do restaurants within walking distance on almost every other corner. Keep up the good work

This playground is absolutely beautiful! It has a Sprayground, a fun sprinkler system, set up for children to get wet and cool off in the summer. There is a basketball court, baseball field, and a children's play area with equipment set up for children of different age levels. They even have a garden at the back that brings an additional level of charm to the area. I run a summer camp and took my campers here every week. We will definitely be returning next summer and throughout the school year!

I volunteered for the Spring Garden Reunion and Festival from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM and enjoyed working. I was exhausted so I had to leave early but I enjoyed working with the other volunteers, monitoring the children on their ride, and putting up the balloons around the Park. I felt a lot of good will from everyone. It was a good day!

Great place for Heyday kickball and softball! Also a wonderful place for young people to play basketball. It’s also a great location for a playground for parents with kids. It’s a diverse and open place for everyone!

Very nice and clean park! The sprinklers are fun and the children are all having fun. There is a nice area with a parasol where you can eat lunch while watching your children. The playground is very nice.

What's up this way of lunch one day so I thought I'd stop in see the kids Playing look like a pretty nice playground. The kids all sizes all races creeds and colors were running around Having a boy that's what we need to see more this world is Everybody getting along there was some type of worker there that was supervising and helping out they were not even given her a problem at all. I saw a couple of parents they're just sitting on a bench near by not interfering at all just kind of enjoying each other's company

So, there is a place in West Philadelphia where Will Smith was born and raised; on this playground is where he spent most of his days. The basketball courts are nice, the rims are rimmy and allow a well thrown basketball through.
As for kiddy stuff, I must say, there's a beautiful playground with lots of playground stuff for kids to do. The grounds around the play area are super soft rubber, so even if your little one takes a fall, it won't hurt so badly. Looks like the community is really nice too, with very nice people. Saw a community garden that was very well tended. All in all, good times.

One of my favorite playgrounds to visit as a nanny with an 18 month old. It's mostly in the shade, covered in that squishy astroturf, and 3 playscapes fit for different age groups. There's also a basketball court and splash ground, though it's not turned on for the pandemic.
