White House Restaurant

First time trying. For this small town, it was an excellent experience 👌. The service was very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was cute yet not what I expected. It seems like it was a house turned into a "fancy" restaurant. The prices were more than we expected based on the "cover" of the place. (Diner meets New York prices). The fried haddock seemed kinda small, but other than that, the soup and bread bar was great, the crab stuffed mushrooms were very very good. The maple salmon was tasty, and the desserts looked amazing. We tried the lemon merengue, yum!

We had their French onion soup, a typical house salad and their Chesapeake chicken, which was chicken topped with crab. My wife had chicken which was topped with Parmesan cheese and artichokes and also cole slaw. She said it was a bit sweet but good.
Our chicken dishes were cooked perfectly and we enjoyed our meal and the service. (it did take a bit to get seated because of how popular the restaurant is, but not any more than some chain restaurants.) Reservations are recommended, but we did not know that coming into it.

We LOVED this place - our party of four was on day #3 of biking the GAP Trail, and we were tired and hungry. Our B&B hosts suggested this place, and the restaurant owner even offered pick up and drop off service so we didn't need to get back on our bikes. REALLY yummy food specials - mmmmm salmon - cold drinks, a bottomless bread basket, and such incredibly friendly staff. We felt like family. A special place!

We were biking the GAP trail and stayed in Meyersdale. When we asked our host where to eat, they suggested this place. We were not disappointed! Good food in good portions. Call ahead and they’ll come by and pick you up or drop you off! Great for bikers who don’t want to hike or bike more.

Loved our dinner after riding 40+ miles to Meyersdale! Such a warm, family friendly atmosphere outdone only by the food quality! Highly recommend!

Great dining experience. I had the haddock, cooked perfectly... no over or underdone spots. Soups, baked potato, salad.. all perfect. And they make their own deserts. Snickers cheese cake is great.

Always the best food and experience here. There are lots of great choices for food, and the staff is always friendly. It's definitely a great place to take the family for a nice meal. Kid friendly, too. The meals are well prepared and at times you can catch some really great specials. Wish we lived closer so we could make it a regular choice for dining out.

Bikng on the GAP trail and found this hidden restaurant after a Google search. Had to walk about a mile to get to the location, but it was totally worth it. Relaxing atmosphere, good cocktails, excellent entrees. home cooked bread and delicious cheesecake selections for dessert. Owner was on sight and thanked us for showing up and even offered us a ride back to our hotel. : which we declined so we could walk off a few calories.

This place is a hidden gem. If you are doing the Great Allgheny Passage this is a MUST! Prices are mega fair and the portions are good. Anyone said open bar on soup and bread??? YES!!! The service is outstanding.

Get the whipped jello it was outstanding! Great service. Great food. Mom and pop joint. Very welcoming highly recommend.

Wonderful food and attentive staff. Thee we owners husband Mike provides shuttle service to and from Levi Deal Mansion which was pw after cycling the GAP trail.

We enjoyed our dinner and drinks. We both ordered seafood and though the portion was smaller than we were expecting, it was delicious. They were quite busy - definitely recommend reservations. Complimentary soup and bread bar was a surprising treat.

Great hidden gem in Meyersdale. Great place for dinner. Never had a bad meal or experience.

Family run restaurant, comfort food. We come here every time we're in Meyersdale. Their pork chops are fantastic. Endless soup and bread is a nice touch.

Great food. Mike could not have been a better host. Kudos to him and family for such an overall wonderful way to end a day of bicycling on the GAP trail.

Hidden gem in Meyersdale. Have been here a few times and the food is always consistently great. The spicy ranch wings are awesome. My fave is their fish sandwich. The fish is so tasty and the roll is fresh. Also had the cheese curds with jalapeño ranch dressing last night. Yum. The staff is great and the owners treat you like family. Oh and they run a shuttle if you’re staying at one of the many local B&Bs!
