Straight Eight Tattoos

Been coming here since the early days when Sean opened it up. The guys and gals who have worked here have always been professional about their work, and have always been able to carry out good conversation during the tattoo sessions. Both Sean and Jake have ink placed on my body and their work is always fantastic. 100% of the negative reviews about this shop have come from reviewers who have a terrible time articulating what they want, and expect the artists to read their mind, or are unable to bring more then 1 singular idea into the shop for when they are told the original idea cannot be done. Yes, it's the artists job to bring you're idea to life. But it's also YOUR responsibility to bring them a half decent idea to begin with. If they sketch something up for you, from what you told them you want, and you don't like it but still get it? That's on you. Not them. It's permanent. Articulate things better to help them, help you, get a good product on your skin. This shop will have my business for the years to come. Thank you fellas as always!

Fantastic Place! Great Staff! CLEAN!!! Jake did a great job with my daughter's tattoo! Awesome work, very professional, great to talk too. Jake, Sean and Maddy were all a great support system for her first tattoo experience. Will definitely be back!! 😃👍🏻

Sean was very professional he taught my husband and myself so much that we had no clue about. His shop is also spotless top to bottom. From the first time we went in to start my piece it was like we knew him forever. Sean’s work is absolutely stunning without a doubt the best work I have seen yet If you want a amazing piece go to straight eight tattoos in Tamaqua PA you will not regret it!!!!

Walked in got a hand skull tat !! VERY PLEASED! Def found the place to go. Oddly other places said, "it can't be done where you want it" haha guess it could. Thanks Sean! Ok I was too excited that I left out that this place is professional, clean, had good tunes AND everything up to date so no messing about with trace, carbon paper the lot. I'm still impressed with my tat!!

Great first tattoo experience, Jake did a fantastic job and I will most likely be back for another from him in the future sometime. Very sociable there and played some good music as well. Would recommend this place to someone in the future for sure.

Just got a tattoo from Jake today. Great shop and great experience. Super prompt with responding and squeezing me in for my tattoo. Jake gave great suggestions for my tattoo which I really appreciated. I love my tattoo and I am definitely recommending Jake and the shop. The owner was super cool too!!! Everyone was friendly and it was a great experience.
