Mandarin Restaurant

This is probably my favorite restaurant in Rexburg. Is the the best chinese food you'll ever have? Probably not, but I have been to many restaurants and nobody does gyoza (potstickers) like these guys! They are very affordable and usually have great service, unless they are packed clear full. If you have an itch for Chinese food, I would highly recommend this place. I have tried at least half of their menu, and as long as you order something normal (orange chicken, general tso's, mandrin chicken, sweet and sour chicken/pork, chicken lo mein) you will not be disappointed. Some of their other dishes can be a little interesting, but stick to the basics and you'll be fine!

Their Cho Mein is what you got to watch out for, many people order the Cho Mein thinking it is the Lo Mein and they're highly disappointed.

Their lunch prices are like .75 cents cheaper than dinner options, and it's usually less packed than during dinner. Dining during dinner may result in slower service because they have an influx of people and takeout orders they are trying to prepare for.

Ordering takeout from these guys is great cause they pack you up! They really fill up the boxes when you do take out.

Overall, an amazing establishment, I cannot speak enough great things about this place. It definitely hits the three A's: Affordable, Attentive staff, and Appetizing food!

UPDATE: We bring all our guests visiting Rexburg to the Mandarin, specifically to let them try the unique "pork and seeds" and crunchy "chow mein." For almost everybody those are new experiences. Most leave not liking the pork and seeds, but some like the crunchy noodles. I love those, and am happy to bring home leftovers.

First time here. I was craving mapo tofu so was pleased to see it on the menu. The server relayed my request for mild and it turned out perfect. Excellent fried rice and lo mein, too. Still fascinated that the first times in my life I've ever seen crispy chow mein (despite decades of eating "Chinese" food all over the world) were here and at another Rexburg restaurant.

I've never had a bad experience here. I've come here quite a few times, and the service is fast and friendly. The food is authentic and delicious. For those of you that think that it's impossible to get authentic food in the middle of Idaho, think again after you come here.

Love eating here and crave it often. My mom lived in Hong Kong for a while and I grew up with her cooking Chinese. This restaurant is the closest to what she would cook for us. I love that the vegetables taste like they were cooked fresh and their fried rice isn’t greasy like a lot of Chinese food places make it. Their egg rolls are the best I’ve ever had. Also love their crab wontons. I love that it’s locally owned and family run so your supporting small business. It never disappoints. My personal favorites are the mandarin chicken, broccoli beef, moo goo gai pan and cashew chicken.

WOW!!! As an outer Towner I am absolutely thrilled by this restaurant. I got the Western lemon chicken and can't believe how flaky and tender and wonderfully tasting it is. The service was awesome also! This is really the place to go. Still here, still the best. These guys are consistent with their food!!! ❤❤❤

Have loved the food every time we eat here. Portions are so generous they should raise their prices! Service was great as well. Give Mandarin a try!

Super cute and quiet chinese resturant. I love the General Tso chicken. A great place to grab a bite with friends or family.

Everything was great. The chicken did seem it was heated back up but other than that couldn't have been better. You gotta try the crabrangoon one of the best I have ever had.

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Eastern Idaho. One of my favorites, period. Great food, great staff. They know what they are doing.

Food was great! Love the general Tso, Esther was incredible and made sure we had everything we needed and made sure we never had to ask for anything. She was so polite and attentive! It made the whole experience better when she told us about what the best items on the menu were.

I ate here for my birthday and it was absolutely delicious 😊 Great food and service from the waitress. Would go again!

Really good food just make sure if you want soft noodles to ask for low-mein noodles, not chow-mein.

Super good experience. Dined here with my fiancé and her family after her graduation. Really tasty food, I had the General Tso’s and fried rice (the meal number 6). Everyone enjoyed their food, the place was nice and clean, the staff was attentive, it was a good experience.

Mine and my husband's favorite place to eat in rexburg! So delicious, well priced, and the waiters are great. We love it here.

I'd highly recommend this place. Takes me back to my childhood, feels like visiting a good mom & pop shop in Seattle. Their food is excellent! Price is excellent. More than you can eat for less than 15 dollars. The best dishes are the lo mein, potstickers, orange chicken, and Mongolian beef. The Mongolian beef is fantastic if you like a little spice and love mushrooms.

I love frequenting this restaurant. I went here often in high school and the food is as good as a few years ago.
While the food is good, the service is great. The owner and the staff always greet with a smile and I’ve never had any issues with this place.
Overall, i’d recommend it to someone looking for American Chinese in Rexburg.

Amazing food but in Idaho falls it's half the price

I absolutely love this place. It is by far the best chinese food in Rexburg. You do have to drive a little out to the edge of city limits, but the deliciousness compensates for the drive. They are like Fongs, but more delicious.

The General Tso’s Chicken melted in my mouth! Really good fried rice and lo mein too. I was impressed and it’s easy to see why my parents are regulars here.

You get so much food. The price is fair and the food is spectacular.
