Hog Fathers BBQ

great place for BBQ with a backyard style. I was traveling on vacation and went south of my area just to go to a Sonny's restaurant which I always liked. This place is just as good. Everything tasted great. Little too much salt on the sausage though it seemed. Had trouble choosing between menu items as they have some great selections.

I'l had been wanting to go to Hog Fathers BBQ for a while. The parking is convenient and there is lots. The service was great. Helpful and was able to offer suggestions when asked. I only wish they had a sampler platter. I highly suggest getting the Mac and cheese. It's yummy. The brisket meal was good and filling. The chicken sandwich was delish.

Food is always absolutely delicious here. Inside of the place is kind of dull, but we're there for the eats, not the atmosphere. Brisket is delicious, pork is delicious, heck, our friends love the cornbread so much they request it when they're in town.

Staff is very friendly and provide attentive service. 🙂 The cook even came out to check. The fall apart saucy ribs are so meaty & delicious. The brisket is to die for & you get a nice portion. Garlic mashed potatoes are seasoned appropriately. The corn bread is sweet & moist. Very cheesy mac & cheese. 🧀 We really enjoyed our meals 🍽 & will definitely be back.

Excellent food and service. The brisket had a lovely smoke ring and bark, and the quick grilling before serving kept it fresh and delicious. The whipped garlic potatoes stole some of the spotlight, though - creamy and delectable, piping hot and smooth. Although I marked a star off for sticky floors, the food more than made up for it. Excellent work, folks!

10/10 would recommend! Delicious bbq (and a surprising Mac and cheese that was complex with flavor!) that is definitely worth trying. The staff is so kind, considerate and professional. They also have bottles beer!

This was a quick stop on the road and couldn't have been happier. The staff was friendly. The food cost more than reasonable. The quality of the meal was excellent.

Excellent food and service! I highly recommend this place. I enjoyed the pulled pork and garlic mashed potatoes. My hubby had the brisket wrap with fries — also delicious!

For those who don’t want to read the following block of text: One of the best places I’ve ever eaten at. Will be back any time I am in the area. 100% recommend.

BBQ places, for me, need to hit a few key areas. Hog Fathers did to say the least.

Pros:

-Delicious sides.
Mac n cheese, sweet potato fries, garlic mashed potatoes, and cole slaw were all top notch. I don’t even like sweet potatoes and would’ve eaten two orders of those fries, so I can only imagine how good their regular fries are.

-Good meats.
Baby back ribs were fall off the bone, sauce was slightly tangy and delicious. Good ratio too.
Chicken had a light breading and was soooo juicy!
Brisket was smokey, meaty, and fell apart. Was great on a sandwich with slaw and as a separate entree.

-Sweet tea was amazing as promised. Filled up by our server immediately after finishing time and time again.

-Service was fantastic. Greeted like family the second we approached the doors, servers and kitchen staff were all friendly and asking if everything was good.

-Vibe was appropriate. Interior and music matched that of a classic BBQ joint. Very enjoyable.

-Bathrooms were clean and tidy. Two family bathrooms was a neat setup, two people could go anytime regardless of gender.

Cons:

-Seats were uncomfortable and tight. Would be awesome to see them upgraded but it wouldn’t ever stop me from coming back for the well-priced and delicious food.

What a gem. Fantastic fall of the bone ribs. I had the ribs, chicken, sausage combo. All fabulous. Great bbq sauce made on the premises. Super friendly folks too. Just go-you'll love it.

I got their sausage burger, and recommend it. It was fantastic. Frys are phenomenal, other sides were blah. I didn't care for their BBQ sauce tho my spouse liked it. This is our new after show place to eat. Plan on trying everything.

I always bring all my guests and family here when they visit. There something for everyone! I've come here maybe 15 times and have ordered something different every time so I can say with confidence that nearly their entire menu has been tasted and approved!

I’m from Texas but when I travel to PA this is the place to hit!! So good!!

There is no restaurant better for BBQ anywhere. Service was great, Food is phenomenal. The atmosphere was great. I just think they need a vestibule to keep customers and staff warm. I will go back multiple times!

Our first time here, out for my husband's birthday weekend, the brisket is wonderfully flavorful, smokey just the right amount of seasoning, and practically melts in your mouth. The garlic mashed potatoes are lovely. The bread is sweet and not over baked. They also treated me and my service dog with respect which was wonderful.

Went to canonsburg store tonight. The girl running the show was amazing! She took our order, made it herself and it was on time and delicious! It was even more amazing that she was the only one working. She is an outstanding employee...give that girl a raise!

I’ve eaten here a few times since I work in Canonsburg and I’ve been really impressed with the pulled pork and brisket. The BBQ sauce is fantastic as well. My favorite thing is the pulled pork wrap. The sweet tea is also really good. It’s one of the only non-chain option in that little section of town so I would strongly recommend. Plus the head chef is always friendly and seems to take pride in his BBQ which is great to see.

Very friendly service, DELICIOUS pulled pork and fast service!! If you like BBQ, this is your place!

To die for brisket! I'm usually more of a pulled pork person, which don't get me wrong, that was good too, but their brisket is the star of the show with amazing flavor making it's way to the tomatoes on the sandwich. I could literally eat those warm juicy flavorful from the brisket tomatoes alone even.
Service, from the moment we opened the door greeted with a warm hello. Attentive tableside service with refills and check ins.
Will definitely be back when in the area again.

Mike our server was great. He greeted us at the door. Our burgers were awesome, the portions filling. Never thought I would like blue cheese on a burger.

The atmosphere was Comfortable and Clean. Mike held the door for us as we left, and even gave us car advice when asked.

Overall, a wonderful find.
