I was looking for box Christmas cards. Though they are not open for browsing, they graciously brought out their inventory in a few boxes for me to look through. I found 3 boxes of beautiful cards.

I grew up going to this bookstore and having moved away several years ago, I was pleased to see they do mail order as well. I reached out about a few books I was interested in and after some dialoguing, was recommended another book. Very thankful for the hands on customer service and obviously knowledgable crew!

This is the most wonderful Christian bookstore. As a pastor, I loved being in the store and being able to avail of Bryon and Beth’s love and passion for books. It’s not a typical Christian bookstore. It has books for all of life. The books here are meaningful and thoughtful. This store is an incredibly inspiring place. If you can’t visit in person, Byron will ship books to you and provide you with the most excellent recommendations! Hearts and Minds Bookstore and Byron’s blog are a gift to the church!

Byron and his team were a pleasure to do business with! I've followed Byron's writings book reviews for a while but this is my first time purchasing from Hearts & Minds (via online). The email communication to check stock and prices was very quick and you won't find a friendlier book store owner! Can't wait to start reading my new books!

While the store is not back open yet for in store shopping their books are still very available. Byron and Beth (and their staff) are incredible resources for whatever kind of Christian book you are looking for. I watched one of their staff members go back and forth between the back parking lot and the store multiple times to help a new customer find the kind of Bible study resource they were looking for. They are always anxious to help.

Such a lovely little bookstore with both scholarly books and those for the layperson from a broad range of Christian perspectives. The people who own it are kind and super helpful; if they don't have something in stock they will order it. They also have a nice selection of gifts. I could spend hours there. Support your local independent bookstore!

This is our favorite book store. The staff is so well read and happy to suggest something that you might be interested in. I feel smarter and more enlightened just being in this space! Not just faith based books here. They will order any book that you want if it is not in stock. It is where I buy all my children's books - they have a wonderful selection. Huge selection of books (floor to ceiling). All of the staff are very knowledgeable and can find any book for you just from a little bit of information. Prices are fair. Their newsletter gives you 20% off most new or promoted titles. If you are a member of WXPN, you can also get a discount.
Byron invited NT Wright for a meet, greet, signing, and talk. It was amazing. This is a truly unique book store. So much better in quality and selection than a chain book store.

This is a wonderful store packed with books and music of all kinds. I went there looking for Christian music and was surprised to find many other genres of music too, from rock to dance. They have deluxe/special editions for many artists and titles that I have never seen before. The selection of music is impressive. Some of the CDs were even on sale up to 50% off. There is also a listening station to sample the music before you buy it. Give this store a try for your music needs, Christian or not, if you are in the area.

This store is a treasure. I've moved out of the area but still rely on expertise and guidance of Byron Borger and the whole team. Hearts and Minds has been a leader in the industry for decades. I am confident that you will walk out with your arms full of books, already more thoughtful than when you came in!

My wife and I love to buy books from Hearts and Minds Books in Dallastown, PA (which has a store, but also takes mail order very seriously). They're run by Byron and Beth Borger, who are voracious readers, wonderful reviewers, and truly gifted book sellers. You might end up paying more than the big guys, but they excel at helping you to find the right thing and provide incredibly conscientious service. I think this is my favorite store of any type!

Love- love. This book store. Recently they ordered 68 books directly from the publisher so I was able to save 35% of the list price. Amazing professionals.

Byron Borger is one of the most well read and insightful people I have come across. Both he and Beth, as well as their employees, are hospitable. Any time I need something for group studies or to pick their brains about what would be the best book for a class, they are ready to help. They know their stuff. Hearts & Minds is my go-to place. Such a great local Christian book store! This cozy shop is pack with commentaries, biographies, novels, poetry, Bibles, song books, and every other book you can think of. The staff is very helpful. Shopping local is the best!

Incredible selection of thoughtful books, knowledgeable, helpful owners, all the benefits of a local, carefully curated bookstore that any lover of good books would want to find. The owners are always willing to make recommendations or order anything they don't already have on hand. Parking is behind the shop, off the alley.

To simply describe Hearts and Minds as a Christian bookstore would be to do this unique institution a serious injustice. Mr. Borger is a wealth of knowledge and a connector of both people and ideas. The carefully curated selection of books is a testament to a broad minded and reverent approach to both the divine and the secular, indeed questioning the very validity of such a divide. Looking to avoid the "purveyor of all things that shall not be named"? There's really nothing that H&M cannot have for you in short order.

I've been going here since the 1980's. Everyone is kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. They feel like family. (& after this many decades, they kinda are) They carry a wide variety of books and music. Which each staff member's interests are being represented by. So no matter what brings you in, you can get helpful suggestions from any one of them. Check them out, you'll be glad you went.

Very.accomodating although unable to enter store due to covid restrictions. Books were brought out to their pleasant shady back yard area with benches and tables. Will frequent store often.

A Treasure in Dallastown! This is a bookstore's bookstore. Byron & Beth Borger (& the rest of the staff) are a gift to the Church. Their love is books is evident, but it is their love of Christ and His Church that sets them apart. The bookstore blog, "Booknotes" is always a worthwhile read! I cannot recommend anyplace higher than Hearts and Minds Bookstore.
