Beardsley Park

We love Beardsley Zoo! It's close enough and small enough to go for an hour or two... or you can spend the whole day there!

Great park for winter walk

Like going here on nice days with the kids but going alone for a walk and fresh air is needed too. Bunnell pond is full of ducks, swans, geese. They stock the water with fish once a year for fishing (I think trout). There's playgrounds, splash park, baseball fields, small waterfall, picnic area, walking paths, and benches throughout to sit and listen to the birds.

Awesome park, the zoo is here, and they currently have the lantern light show at the zoo it was awesome

Decent sized park. Often, see some geese, ducks, and/or swans wandering around. Can get chilly along the river so bundle up!

Sidewalks, 2 playgrounds, splash pad, bathrooms, picnic areas, zoo, near a river, birds to feed, fish, baseball fields, nice area to play soccer, Frisbee, and have a cookout, take a stroll, or have some fun with the family and friends. Nice green areas to relax and collect yourself ❤.

Loved this zoo, the children had a great time. Looking forward to returning soon

This is truly a lovely park, this park is close to home the Aaron playground good new and there a much older one that would be taken down. I love that it’s a park, zoo with a beautiful lake

This park is beautiful, there's a river flowing through it but you cant go swimming there, it has a zoo, baseball fields, bathrooms and plenty of playgrounds

Honestly, My favorite park. Bridgeport has some impressive landscape to allot of local outdoor places. Frederick Law Olmsted was the landscape architect behind this and I find his work so impressive. Nice people live around here making playtime for kids memorable. The icee lady comes here all the time. Payment for residents was $20 in 2021 for summer stickers.

A great and beautiful park with a zoo!

I've been going here since I was a baby then I took my babies now I take my babies babies the zoo is great abd they have a special going on this summer one free adult and one free child , or you can go into the park and feed the ducks or go to playground or picnic there the scenery is beautiful they also have lots of baseball game there abd a creek and a river is a family orientated atmosphere and it's great just to taste a ride through the tables there and grills ppl throw parties there there's ring hills to play with your kids with either rolling down them or in the winter sledding down them the list goes what you can do there and you need a park sticker to get in it's free if your a Bridgeport resident but if your not your can but a daily one which is affordable

Park staff, or city workers, been piling up leaves for days, today 11-11-22 most were gone. They closed off part of the park for the last 2 weeks for reasons unknown. Hopefully they'll be done with whatever their doing.

What a beautiful place to spend the day,having a picnic, or just hanging out.
