Comix Connection - York

I might be a bit biased for certain reasons, however I wouldn't have developed a strong relationship with this small shop and its occupants unless there was something about the place that brought me back.

Events are hosted almost every day of the week with "Monday Night Boardgames", casual Wednesday night and typical Friday Night Magic, and a bi-weekly Sunday D&D session for anyone who wants to play 5th edition, even new players.

Do you have comics that are taking up space? They buy collections, although it will depend on what it is, the condition and, sometimes, how many copies they have in stock (you wouldn't buy what you aren't selling).

Do you like back issues or older comics? Because they buy collections, it means they consistently get new things in, so check back often! I've met and seen other regular customers who have or don't have subscriptions looking in the boxes or on the walls.

I can't recommend this store enough. It has held up for 30 years by friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff.

Wanted to check out a local Conic book shop in York. Found this place and glad I did. Been a reader on and off for a long time now. The guy working today made some great recommendations and was super friendly. Hope to enjoy these books and will return to set up a subscription box.

The gentleman who greeted us was very friendly and knowledgeable. It was nice to speak with someone who knew precisely where products would be if he had them and could even provide the synopsis of suggested books, even if he didn't have them in stock. My husband has been on the search for some comic issues and the gentleman immediately was able to pull out one of the issues missing from my husband's collection - very prompt but without feeling rushed to leave. We will definitely visit this store again if we're in the area!

Great selection of new and backlog issues. I do have to note that the backlog boxes were organized very nicely and that is something lots of people don't always care to do. They have some good selections of tabletop (mostly DND) items and I believe I saw a sign for weekly MTG nights.

The owners are great and very helpful to anyone getting into a hobby. They have events weekly so you can meet new friends. Attended a prelease event for MTG and everyone was beyond welcoming and kind! And I haven't played for years. Highly recommend for a chill fun atmosphere.

Amazing shop!!! There was not a single issue or trade that I was looking for that wasn't right there in the shop. I've gone to other shops looking for pretty well known titles that I have then had to turn around and order online because they were not in stock. This has not happened with one single title at Comix Connection. The staff is helpful and friendly as well. I could not recommend this shop any more!!! Definitely worth stopping in to check out!!!

Absolutely the only place I trust with my business. I've been buying my comics here since I was a small lad, and I have never been disappointed. All staff are very knowledgeable, kind, and happy there you are there. Honest prices, fantastic sales, mega nerd merchandise...really, what more could you want? I will support this store in any way I can, because it's just that good--and honestly they deserve it.

Outstanding comic shop. Staff is very courteous, nice to talk to and accommodating when you have a special request. Shop layout is great and they have a lot of hobby-related collectibles/cards/supplies. They also have a game room where people play Magic, D&D, etc. Support your local comic shops.

Came in for the weekly MTG league as a total newb, or new player who knows nothing and requires a lot of effort to get into the game. I have met only great people there, both in the staff and in the customers also there for the weekly league. One of the store owners actually sat down with me and evaluated the cards I had received to play with, and helped me build my first deck. Incredible first experience and each subsequent one has been just as good! I will definitely continue to come back to this store for all my gaming and comic needs, and would recommend that you do as well!

Friendly staff and very helpful. I've played Magic: the Gathering there twice and the experience was good. All level of players from people who have never drafted to judges. They don't do much in the way of trades, so this isn't a store that will buy your bulk cards, but it is a great place to play.

Always an awesome experience! The staff is friendly, courteous, and will never steer you wrong. I have been coming here since I was a little kid in 1991 and will come here forever. I am currently stationed in new jersey and still make the trip back home to get my monthly haul. Totally worth the drive! Check it out!

The best LGS in the area. The people, selection, and prices set them apart. There are other places for the same items. Why go elsewhere when this place is top notch. The owner also seems very passionate about all things in the store.

Recent find for me, but has a great selection D&D mini's, 5e books, and magic cards. I try to get in there on lunch breaks and really enjoy the team and good vibe. I'm not super into comics but they seem super knowledgeable when discussing with other customers. Great local game store. 👍

The staff is consistently kind and helpful, and always ready with a recommendation. I went here to find an anniversary present for my S/O, and not only did I receive enthusiastic assistance, but the staff was kind enough to throw in a free copy of Batman in honor of our special day!

Friendly, knowledgeable staff. I am fairly new to the world of graphic novels and comics, So I am intrested in new issues as well as the older trades and they've always had what I've been looking for. The store is always very well organized and clean. Overall great experience.

My wife and I always have a great time playing magic at this store. It is a friendly shop that supports the community. They have a great selection of comics and board games too.

I am Grateful that out this way,I am a recovering comic geek....maybe it's the art,but it seems that when I go to a great Comic store it let's itself be known and that is the case here....[sorry can't explain it better than that]

Love Comic Connection! The selection is fabulous and the atmosphere is fun and unique. It's a great place to pick up gifts or a weekly subscription. Always friendly with great service.

Best shop around, friendly knowledgeable staff, great selection and they are always willing to go above and beyond for their customers and have a great selection unlike the other shops in town. I've lived in this area for most of my life and no other shop in any other area or state that I've lived in has ever took care of my comic needs the way Comix Connection does and that's why I've been coming to their store since i was 7 when they opened in the 80's and followed them to all the different locations they have been in.

I'm new to the comic book world, and the staff were very friendly when I went in asking questions to figure out what series would be best for me. Their recommendations were fantastic, showing just how knowledgeable they are.
