Village Realty Apartments

The staff here is very friendly and answered all my questions promptly. These apartments are just what I’m looking for in terms of space and value. I’m looking forward to becoming a long term resident in my deluxe unit.

We lived in the Shrewsbury Village Apartments for 2 years and honestly could not have been more pleased with the experience. The apartments are simple but cozy, with a beautiful large window that provides a gorgeous view of the surrounding landscape. Shrewsbury itself is the most wonderful, peaceful, stunning place that we have ever lived, and these apartments are nestled right in the heart of all of the beauty and simplicity. A short walk up the street will lead you to the most perfect view that you have ever seen, but almost anywhere you drive, walk, run, or bike outside, you will find equally beautiful places to see and explore. The apartments are located less than 3 miles from the Rail Trail, less than a mile from a playground, and very close to the shopping centers and I-83, making it a very convenient place to live with easy access to Baltimore, York, and Harrisburg. However, despite it's convenient location, it has a small town feel. The downtown area is one street, and you have to check out The Village Coffee Shop because their ice cream is to die for and they sell the most beautiful stuff! The people are the nicest people in the world, and because of the location the weather tends to be cooler, the bugs tend to be less bad in the summer, the air seems to be fresher and cleaner, and the world seems to be less chaotic. I honestly don't understand the bad reviews about the staff at Village Realty either. They were all wonderful, understanding, and caring. Maintenance was taken care of promptly, and the handyman, Charlie, was knowledgeable and great. I always felt like they truly cared about us and were glad that we were living there. We were so sad when we had to move away for work related reasons, and we hope one day to be able to move back because it was such a pleasant experience living there! We sincerely hope that the next person who rents our apartment and that everyone else living in Shrewsbury Village enjoys the beautiful town and apartments as much as we did! I have attached some photos of the beautiful surroundings in the center of which this apartment is nestled in hopes that you have a small glimpse of our most cherished place in the world.

I rented through here a few years ago and was reviewing a few other places, and forgot to leave a review for them. They were quick to respond when I needed anything, and the price was more than reasonable for the apartment that I had. I was even called to be thanked for how clean I left the apartment. I was returned my entire deposit, and the team at the front desk was always super friendly and helpful.

I rented at Cape Horn Villas from June 2017 to October 2019. I had a pleasurable experience renting from them during that time. Anything needing fixed/repaired was done so within 24 hours. No issues with the office staff. They all seemed nice and pleasant to deal with.

Although the appliances are a bit dated, but they worked. And for the great rent fee, I'm not complaining, one bit - for my 3 bedrooms, 2-1/2 baths, and a 1-car garage for $1035/month in 2017 was unbeatable. the rent went up $50 to $1085 for 2018 and no raise in 2019. Trash fee of $50/month is included in the rental fee. All in all, it's a great bang for the buck.

They notify by phone call and with a door hanger that they will be coming by to replace the filter in the AC unit twice yearly.

I got all my security deposit back minus the last months water bill, which I owed.

The only down side I would say is the maintenance man, coming by to fix something, doesn't give much time for you to get to the door before unlocking it and coming in. I lived alone and the one time i was watching TV in my underwear and really had no time to put pants on. I literally let him in in my underwear. Not that it was a big deal. I'm not that shy.

As a new resident of Cape Horn Villas, I can't express enough how wonderful the last few months have been. From my initial application to signing the lease and moving in, the office staff has been extremely helpful, friendly, and accommodating. They really care, and it's evident in their work. The townhomes are beautiful, clean, and well kept. I'm so happy I selected this community. Additionally, it should be noted that the maintenance team is also prompt amd knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Village Reality Apartments to anyone looking for a change.

Overall past 8 months living with village reality has been a great experience! I absolutely love village reality staff! They are always so nice and kind. Even when you ask dumb questions they always have the right answers. Especially Cindy she’s the best!! Would highly recommend to family and friends!

Called in morning requesting two bathroom parts replaced. Maintenance completed same day by 1pm. I even threw in one extra request. Both men were courteous and completed in very timely manner. Thnx for a great job!

The apt. Was clean . Walls bathroom carpet kitchen all were clean and looks like the previous tenant took good care of their apartment.

Overall, I have had an excellent experience with my apartment (Green Meadows in Dallastown). Maintenance issues have been very few and far between (and then promptly corrected). The location is excellent; the apartment is only a few miles from I-83, shopping, restaurants, etc., yet the complex is generally quiet and well-maintained. That being said, it's not too hard to hear what your neighbors are up to, but that's to be expected in an apartment complex, and it's nothing unreasonable. The apartments (especially the appliances) are a bit dated, but having a washer and dryer in the actual apartment is a huge plus (especially in this price range). Everything (heat, hot water, appliances) is electric, so your electric bill will be rather high in the winter, and the complex does not allow pets (which may be a disappointment to some, but it also means you do not have to worry about barking dogs at all hours of the day and night). I looked at several apartment complexes in the York area before deciding on this one and found it to be very reasonably priced in comparison to other apartment complexes in the area.

This realty company did right by me immediately! I have no complaints as of yet! The apartment was very clean upon moving in! Slight wear n tear on some of the kitchen cabinets and the bathroom door but nothing to get in a hissing fit over! I’m from Queens NYC born n raised and lived and worked in Baltimore for ten years so trust me I’ve seen far far worse! At $750 a month for a one bedroom, it’s cool! The person upstairs walks back and forth like they’re stomping. It’s not a real problem. I just turn my television up slightly! Lol! I’ve met one neighbor he was very nice. The neighbor next to me nods here and there and that’s cool! It’s a quiet safe area and the people are very pleasant! Parking isn’t an issue at all!
I’m looking at the complaints here and didn’t see anything like that when I went to rent a one bedroom. Bridgette seemed very nice to me so I don’t know what these other people are texting about! Lol!! She was very helpful and answered every email and every question I asked! She wasn’t snide or rude at all actually! I didn’t feel pressured to sign my life away on the lease! The entire process was actually very pleasant and definitely five star worthy! I needed a place ASAP and Bridget made sure I got one ASAP!
I’m a 50 year old single retired NYC/Baltimore Maryland worker! The unit I rent is perfect for a bachelorette/bachelor who isn’t home much like myself! I don’t smoke so neighbors or anyone upstairs aren’t at any risks!
With any development there is always room for improvements. However, I am just not seeing what these people have complained about and hopefully I never will! Thumbs up to this development and the staff as well as a personal thank you again to Bridget for all her help!

Lived in a 1BR for 14 months while in school. Renting was a breeze. Yoe is a nice quiet town, a lot of the renters are retired. The apartment I lived in was a little dated but for the price it was a steal. I looked at comparable places in York, Yoe/Red Lion is much nicer, quieter, and safer. Honestly it was great for the student budget and safety of the neighborhood was my number 1 priority. The staff are very nice people, you are always talking to a person vs the big companies where you are on hold with for hours. I would rent here again if I needed a place.

Overall experience with village realty has been great. Staff are always pleasant and willing to help! Great first apartment starter place. Would highly recommend them to friends and family.

I lived in Canterbury Court for 3 months and had a great experience. People I dealt with were nice, and I didn't have any problems. Pool was great in the summer. I'd recommend these apartments to friends.

I have nothing but great service with these apartments. There not the newest, but they are the most affordable in town I could find. Had a few things wear down, which I notified the office about and within a day they were fixed. I really can't complain. The neighbors and nice and friendly, and it's actually surprisingly quiet. Nice quaint place.

Terrific landlord. Rented from Village Realty for over 3 years without any issues. Staff courteous and professional. I paid on time, gave proper notice for vacating the property and all went smoothly - just as you would expect from an excellent realty company. I highly recommend.

Very well kept yard. We love our location and price! The value definitely beats all other rental properties around town. - And we really did our research!! The management is very easy to work with and always go out of their way to make sure we are happy.

We have lived her for about 2-3 months and the customer service we received was exceptional. The team worked with us through everything and made sure all questions were answered. I absolutely love our unit as well...

Staff is always helpful in answering any questions I may have or helping with concerns. I've rented from them for a few years at different locations and it has been a smooth process all around.
