Route 74 Restaurant

I ordered to go. The food was done before I made it in and they brought breakfast to me and the food was very good and hot.

I am from out of town. My wife and my mother-in-law are from here and we decided to go for Chip Beef over potatoes. I had the 2 eggs with Corned Beef Hash and was told to try a side of Scrapple and enjoyed it very much.
It is an old restaurant where the locals come and enjoy a good home cooked meal.
I highly recommend it!!!

Friendliest staff, clean, delicious, well portioned menu. Ask for Christy, she's waited on us every time. And what a sweetie!!! If you like liver or Puddin, they have it!

This was a first time stop for me. The parking area was full. The outside would have a person think of old style diners. Yet once you go through the doors, it was like stepping into a different form of the TV show 'Cheers'. You will be greeted by friendly staff. As customers came in, many were on a first name basis with the staff and other customers.

I had an omelet platter breakfast. There was nothing fancy, it reminded me of a good mom's home cooked meal. The waitress even offered a replacement item at no charge, for those of us non-pork eaters. The coffee was hot and wait staff attentiveness made sure the cup stayed full. *Whether by chance or not, this is the first time my young grandson drank using a paper straw. The size of portions served, the prices were very reasonable.

In saying all of this, warm friendly wait staff, repeat customers, first name basis, decent prices, hot coffee, and as each person was walking out the door, the staff was telling them 'see you tomorrow'. To which many replied they would be there. To me this is success at it's finest and could only wish the best for the Route 74 Restaurant.

Hands down of my favorite places to go for breakfast. The food is cheap and tasty. The owner is super friendly and helpful and always has the nicest things to say to all of her guests. The space is small though so you may have to wait for a seat sometimes if it's busy. Has a bit of an old time diner/truck stop to it as well if you'd be looking for that. Highly recommend.

Great food, great service. Mostly locals that all know each other; both resaurant staff and customers. Has a real down home feel. Small seating area to the right, when you walk in and the counter to the left. Restroom location takes some getting used to since it's located behind the counter. This is the way small town diners should be.

Still as awesome as I remembered 40 years ago food and people are still the warm and friendly I don’t know why I waited so long to come to a Awesome restaurant

Quaint side of the road diner, with friendly staff and delicious food. Not so hard on the wallet either. I'll be back!! The family vibe was strong, which made it feel homey!!

Great little restaurant at the end of town. Waitresses treat you like they have known you for a long time. The cooks fill you up with the great food they make. Prices are very reasonable and affordable, especially the breakfast. My kids love going here and so do I.

74 Diner is awesome!! They have down home real cooking. Tastes just like my southern Kentucky Mom' s cooking. You can not beat their cooking or their prices. It has the very, very best home cooked food. And the waitress Rose is such a sweet lady and such a very caring person. My husband and I adore her. We give 74 Diner and the waitress Rose, 10 stars. Ate at picnic tables out back strategically placed at intervals to meet the guidelines required. Food was delicious, service was speedy and the owner checked on us often and kept my hubby's coffee cup full. Highly recommend!

Route 74 restaurant is now a great place to go to eat. Sammy a large menu of comfort foods and they open very early in the morning. If you're lucky enough to get Kelly as your waitress you will be also entertained.
