Famous Hot Weiner

I love a good Hot Dog. So, I had to check out the Famous Hot Weiner. I got The Famous Hot Weiner Special … two hotdogs with mustard, chili, and a generous helping of onions… Along with french fries. It was wonderful… I will be back!

I love the one in Hanover, I’ve been going there forever (seems like)
Never had a complaint, food is always hot and made perfect! The waitstaff is friendly and eager to make your visit pleasant. The food is always prepared the same, never have to worry which cook is cooking, It’s Always the Same- Great!
It’s a bright & cheery restaurant and clean.
I’ve been there for all 3 meals and must say,
I’ve always been pleased. My great grandson loves the pancakes!

Great food and service. We are fortunate to have a Famous Hot Weiner in York. Years ago I used to drive to Hanover for the hot dogs. Very good dogs with excellent homemade chili sauce. Mustard, onions, and sauce is the way to go. I wouldn't rank them as one of the "best dogs in the USA" category, but they are solid and enjoyable.

Best hot dogs ever. The chilli on the hot dogs and fries is amazing. Try the lunch special, you won't be disappointed.
It has pictures of the past on the walls, which is nice to see how things used to be. The staff is very friendly.

When I came into this eatery u was hit with the amazing aroma of meat, cheese and coffee. The employees were very professional and kind. When we got our food, it looked amazing, they even have vinegar for the fries. Immediately I was sold! I've never had more amazing food in any other place in this state. The veggies were fresh, the grilled cheese was hot all the way to the end and the fries, best fries I've ever had. I will most definitely be coming to eat here to grab a meal!!!!!

This was great food served fast and priced very fairly. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely stop in again when I am in the area.

Whether it's Hanover, or this version in York, there is little ill to speak of the Famous! The food is ALWAYS prepped fresh, then served piping hot, and delivered to your table by the friendliest people in the hot dog business! Trying to avoid nitrates? Try an Egg & Cheese with Everything (light onions, of course). Want a bit of meat but not hot dogs? Try out the Chicken Sandwiches (served on hot dog buns!) The burgers are alright, but not an enormous fan of them here (I rank burgers pretty constantly). But the chili is honestly the secret sauce! Great on just about anything! And with prices so low, you can't go wrong with an under $10 lunch (or dinner). Stop by and tell 'em Jeff sent you! (You won't get a discount or anything, but at least you'll get a big smile!)

I have had many and all excellent experiences at this location. The staff were welcoming and very friendly. The food is the same as Hanover. I will keep going back and I certainly recommend this place.

Can never go wrong with The Famous. Dogs burgers FFs.

Really fast service. I've never been before and was had the grilled cheese and a hot dog. Both were excellent. The hot dog was fantastic, according to the one who are it. It was so overstuffed with condiments, he had to use a fork. Definitely trying their other closer locations!

We shared the 2 hotdogs special. The fries were very good. Read the story on how the establishment came to be. A Greek immigrant came thru Ellis Island. Worked on the railroad, ended up in Pa.

I've eaten at both locations since I moved here in 1990. The food has always delicious and quick. This time, there was confusion on my order because part of it was take out and the order was incorrectly marked as complete. We waited for a while until I questioned the time it was taking. They promptly delivered the order with a full refund and apologized repeatedly. It's nice to know there is still integrity in business!!

First time there and I had just been rear ended by a Mack truck and my car totaled. Was talking with the owner/manager and he gave me 20% off my meal. Good food, plenty of onions and killer fries! And the staff were friendly and kind which doesn't hurt either.

This is one of my favorite places to eat. I don't get to go as often because my husband isn't a big fan. I love the cheeseburgers with chili sauce n chili fries! Very clean and friendly staff!!!

Great food. Fast service. Just like the originals in Hanover. Friendly service. Good portions. Entire restaurant was clean. No complaints. Will definitely be back, probably multiple times.
