It's worth the drive from York to Manchester to grab a bite at this classic fast food joint. Checker's has great burgers and fries, and they also have excellent ice cream treats. This location has very professional employees who are very chill. They make fast and friendly service look easy.

1st time trying Checkers today, and I was very pleased. Staff was friendly and patient while we decided on what we wanted. Checkers has the best deal in relation to the quality and quantity of food you get, for what you pay

I have always loved Checkers food! I have been to this location many, many times since they opened. I have always gotten the correct order the first time. Food is always hot and absolutely delicious and AFFORDABLE! As for the staff, they are always super friendly and accommodating to any special requests! I recommend Checkers over any other burger joint any day and always telling people to go try it if they haven't!

It's McDonald's, but better. It has a Wendy's menu, with its own twist (Baconzilla). If you're a Burger King fan. . . this is the place you go when you're tired of Burger King. The fries are beyond better than all 3 other fast food joints mentioned above 😇.

In my opinion, best burgers and fries in town. Fried mozzarella sticks are excellent, and a hot wings are fantastic. Food is always hot. Drive through is a bit slow but worth it for receiving hot food. Great place to go prices are fantastic. Great job checkers.

Chain restaurant but well run. Food is always fresh and good. For real never had an order messed up. Great place to grab a burger and they still have the best fries

The wait was a bit long in the drive thru, obviously, but it was so worth it. Everything was delicious and hot.
I suggest walking up to order if you're in more of a hurry; it seemed like others didn't wait so long at the walk up window. Whereas, in the drive thru, they had to wave some people away due to traffic blocking the road.
Worth the wait, I promise.

Love the food. Always been exactly what I wanted when I want a burger.

Outside is clean. Food was great especially the loaded fries. Prices were awesome 2 hamburgers were less than 1 at the McD place. We had 5 orders of burgers, shakes and fries for less than 20.00. All fresh made to order! The front order window was closed due to short staff, they are looking for workers. Odered at the drive thru, ate at the outside tables. Everything was very good! Will go back for sure!

God food, quick service, best prices!

They're definitely trucker friendly. Drive thru was only open at the time I went and the window was closed but they understood I was a driver and let me order anyway at the window unlock some other restaurants in the past made me walk thru the drive thru lol. They're also friendly folks too. 10 stars if I could!

This review is not so as much about the food because let's face it, Checkers has good fast food. This review is in regards to the employees. I sat in the Drive-Thru for almost 30 minutes today. Not for any reason other than they were only two people working. I'm not quite sure where the other people were ;however, 0the two that were there or diligently working with positive attitudes and no resentment. Since the pandemic there has been a shortage of people willing to work as hard for each dollar they earn. This is not uncommon. What is uncommon is the attitude the the young man working the window expressed. When you are only one of two people working a fast food drive-thru one would expect you to lose your patience and to be frustrated. This young man kept his cool and was polite. I myself just got off of work and wanted a quick bite to eat. There was nothing quick about this visit. But this young man's demeanor encouraged me to spend more time out of my day to show my appreciation. I hope this inspires others to have empathy on those who show up to provide you service! I'm not doing this for a pat on my back but as a simple recognition did the young man working the drive-thru. Thank you for your Pleasant attitude over a disruptive situation. I hope you and your co-worker continue to receive many blessings.

Checkers is a mix of the old and new....with delicious food. We had a large order so to make things easier on us and on the staff, we parked and had our 3 kids decide what they wanted and my husband and I. Went through the drive-thru and when up all 5 drinks were ready and we only had to wait less than 5......that's Chick-fil-A fast!!!! Frys and burgers were hot and delicious and staff was friendly. Definitely would go again.

It's essentially just a walk up or drive thru but it has that small town date vibe. Good usually prepared quickly and well. The workers are always in good spirits and polite

Went through the drive through, the order was ready in minutes, great burger and the fries were a nice change to regular fast food fries, have just a little spice to them. Will return soon.

Broke my virginity on a bacon steakhouse burger fries and a milkshake and was less than McDonald's

It's been quite a few years since I've had the opportunity to visit a Checkers. I finally made the ever so slightly out of the way trip just for this one and was absolutely not disappointed.

Ordered medium Buffalo hot wings, and a popcorn chicken & fries box. Everything was awesome! Fries and chicken were cooked perfectly, wings had great flavor. All around pleased! Definitely a returning customer!
