Tarrywile Mansion

Tarrywile is an absolutely beautiful wedding venue! We fell in love with the grounds before touring the mansion, but once we went inside, we knew this was the place for us. Loraine was so easy to work with and her enthusiasm about Tarrywile is contagious. The mansion is gorgeous and being able to have indoor and outdoor options for the ceremony and reception was ideal. Though we had hoped for an outdoor wedding, cold and rain forced our late April wedding indoors, where we were able to have an amazing ceremony inside the conservatory. Our guests loved how cozy the rooms felt and we had a wonderful experience there. Highly recommend!

Awesome place to find all levels of trails and soak in nature.

Great place for easy and moderate hikes. Trails are very well marked, it is spacious, beautiful and free! Even when it's 85+ degrees it's still great since most of the trails have a gazillion trees.

I absolutely loved this place when I visited the park in April-May2016. There was a slight drizzle on the day and the scenery was amazing. It was cold. A quiet place where you can get some "me" time.

Beautiful scenery. Had a very pleasant walk/hike. Will absolutely be returning now that the weather is getting nice.

There are multiple expansive hiking trails throughout the whole park with beautiful landscapes. The mansion is available for events and is host to many weddings and other events during the spring and summer months so the upper parking lot may be closed during those times.

Went here today. I loved it. Hiked the orange trail was 4 miles.

Really a treasure, wonderful place to explore. I was also married in the mansion many years ago, and had the reception there as well. Lovely.

The trails are well maintained and not too complicated. Sings and directions are plentiful. One is not likely to get easily lost.

Love this park, take my dog frequently. It is well kept and there are lots of hiking trails and a beautiful lake.

Both the mansion and the grounds are absolutely stunning. The mansion was the perfect location to host our winter event, and we love taking our dog for hikes on the grounds.

Beautiful trails for everyone from the physically challenged to the avid mountain man. Marked trails run up some difficult escalations and beautiful winding paths circle fields with bird sanctuaries and a lake. Lovely paths around mansion grounds for casual walking and photo ops.

Great place to hike!

If you live in the area then you have an absolute gem in your backyard.
Well maintained, clean, and a beautiful. Hike the trails, run cross country around the fields, yoga by the pond, or have lunch on the many picnic tables spread out across the park. If your visiting or new to the area and enjoy the outdoors then you need to visit this wonderful place.

Love this place. A beautiful piece of nature in the middle of our city. I've grown up going to Tarrywile and will continue to. It's also a safe place for local wildlife to flourish. A great place to hike/walk, picnic, and so much more.

I love the park. Tarrywile has lots of good things to offer. I always find myself having great time going for a hike. There's easy trails if all you're looking for is a relaxing walk around the pond or around the green fields, for those feeling a little more adventurous there is always the yellow trail that leads you to a pick which provides an amazing view of the town of Danbury. Not that long ago I had a picnic date with my girlfriend and we had such a fabulous time enjoying ourselves and reconnecting with nature and our surroundings. I definitely love everything about this park and will always recommend it to anyone who wants to get out of their usually cube.
