Sycamore Drive-In

I personally think that Sycamore Drive-In is a great spot to dine. I don't often go but when I do it is a treat. The steakburger was my first experience with one and it was amazing. I really think that it was a very, very juicy burger. The fries are a great side and you can never go wrong with them. The real star of the show is the vanilla shakes. I could actually talk about their shakes for a few hours. It is unequivocally good to everything else in the restaurant. It is also a good size to price ratio. When me and my whole family dine here we leave full and happy in the car. The atmosphere of the 1950's-80's with arcade machines and vintage looking decor bodes well with the style of food. I really think these are the best burgers and fries in CT and will be a happy customer for years to come.

Being from Michigan, I have never eaten here before. While visiting friends from New York, they took us here and am I glad they did! The place itself is like walking back in time and the food was marvelous! Will definitely be back on our next visit!

Had the Dagwood burger and the famous root beer float. It was yummy for my tummy. 🍟 Fries were nice too. Excellent service. Happy happy. Go there. Now! They have car shows on Saturday's also.

Lovely classic greasy spoon joint. Ordered the Pastrami Reuben, came with fries and coleslaw. Sandwich was a tad smaller than I'd prefer for the price, but it was quite satisfactory overall. Will definitely visit again, when in the area.

Stepping back in time is sycamore drive in. If your looking for hot dogs and hamburgers this place will do the job. The vintage cigarette vending machine in the door makes me remember easier times. I appreciate the vintage look inside my self. Take the time and look whats on the wall and around the place.

Very quick service and delicious food. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming from the moment you walk in the door. Recommend checking this place out!

The real thing. Why go to Sonic when you can't get the team thing? This has been a drive in since the 50s. My favorite is the double onion burger...2 very thin beef patties, pressed into finely diced onion, then grilled. Yum!
Oh .. And must get the root beer float... They make their own root beer!

Get the burgers and rootbeer! This place has the old 50's diner style feel to it. The rootbeer is homemade, too, with the family's recipe dating back to the opening. I'd order the burgers over the hotdogs and grab a rootbeer float if you get the chance. Burgers are smash style and delicious.

This is a total throw back into time. I have only visited once as I was there with a friend, who goes to this place regularly. The food was great. I want to go back to try their root beer floats!

Great diner. Burgers were good and they came out quick. The wait staff were fantastic as well. Definitely a good stop.

Saturday nights in Summertime are Cruise night at the Sycamore . Every other Saturday night throughout the rest of the year is also Sycamore Night. From the secret recipe Root Beer to the magnificent Dagwood Burger and excellent onion rings the Sycamore ROCKS. Great friendly service and historic venue the Sycamore is one place at the top of our list of "must take the out of towners" places.

Absolutely fabulous food! Tried the Chipotle cod wrap with homemade chips absolutely delicious. And as with any meal at the sycamore you have to have the root beer and ice cream. Make this a must stop for any travels through Bethel.

First timer and not disappointed. I love old school diners and this definitely fit the bill and on top of it the food was good! If you’re expecting a big juicy burger this isn’t the spot, but I was still satisfied. I got the mushroom and swiss, kids got a plain burger and chicken basket and wife got a clam roll. All were happy and our server couldn’t have been nicer. Will stop there again for sure!

Prices for this burger are very high for a 1 sided burger. Make the prices cheaper or add more meat to the patty...

Classic drive-in experience! Hot plate, bar stools, home made root beer floats... This is the place to stop and shovel down some delicious drive-in grub on your way back from the city! We stop in every time we pass by and it gets better every time.

I am an older guy, who sometimes wishes he could find a place to eat & drink that was like the places he enjoyed when he was growing up!

The Sycamore Drive-In very much like that! Plenty of belly-filling American comfort food, old fashioned rootbeer concoctions, shakes/floats in more favors than you can "shake" a stick at; plus 1950-60's decor that allows you step back into the good old days!

And if you leave hungry, you haven't combed through their many menus to find something special, made fresh off the grill by chefs who really know how to cook for you! Tell them what your heart desires, and they will probably surprise you and make you smile!

Give them a visit, you and your whole hungry family; and be ready to take some food home with you. You'll won't want to waste it, I promise!
