This is the best Italian restaurant I've ever been in Westport. Amazing food, great service and helpful tips from staff...

Pictures are the pumpkin ravioli which are just... Amazing ! And grilled mushrooms (funghi trefolati) which are delicious as well.

Waiters and waitresses are very helpful, they take time to listen to your favorite products and advise accordingly!

Special note for my favorite waitress and for Angelo, who are both great 😍!

Had a fabulous dinner this past Thursday night with my parents at Pane e Bene. My dad had Sea Bass, which was a special. My mom also had a special; Blackened Scallops and Shrimp, with Saffron Risotto. I had Cavatelli con Salsiccia, homemade cavatelli with Italian sweet sausages, mushrooms, and marinara sauce. So good. We shared the escargot and grilled calamari as appetizers. Brittany was our server, so friendly and knowledgeable about all of the dishes. My mom especially loved her Limoncello cocktail. Can't wait to go back!

Delicious! We were driving through town on our way to New Jersey and stopped for a very pleasant surprise! Highly recommend.

Honestly just amazing - everything we ate was so delicious, tasted clean and fresh, with unique menu options and great portion sizes. Everything from appetizer specials to dessert was spectacular. Owner was extremely kind and flexible. Would definitely recommend.

Simply said, Angelo is a Gentlemen and the best host you could want. When you go into the restaurant, you truly feel like you are walking into Angelo's home. Besides being such a gracious host, the ambience is intimate, the food is very well done...classic yet creative and it is consistent in it's overall service. I truly enjoy eating here and I think you will as well.

Diversified menu including well prepared and beautifully plated Italian classics, some of which are hard to find elsewhere. Service is attentive without being annoying. Make sure you save room for dessert - theirs are sinfully delicious.

I don’t write positive reviews I don’t want people to know the good spots, you have kids this is a good spot. The service is the best in Westport, I am picky and maybe this is not the fanciest of all, but great for a family.

Lovely ambiance. The owner, Angelo, treats you like family. Food is 5 star. Staff, from the bar to the table service is 5 star. Wonderful and interesting specials. My favorite restaurant.

I love their clam linguine. Lots of fresh hot clams with just the right amount of linguine and clam soup. Cocktails are nice and strong. Love this place!

First time here. The food was delicious and the ambiance gracious. It was a bit noisy, a testament to the fact that people were enjoying themselves. It's a trip for us, but we would go back.

Pane e Bene is owned and managed (and even some cooking) by Angelo Capponi who knows great food. He and his service team are wonderful hosts and always happy to make requested changes. The food is consistently top shelf. In fact, we went to Pane e Bene the night after returning home from three weeks in Italy; because it was the closest experience to eating through Italy. The restaurant also sports a good wine list, great specials every night, and a broad menu. This is a place not to be missed if you're in Fairfield county.

The food tastes authentic and the service was great! Loved every item on the menu we ordered. The ambience was an added bonus.

Facilities and service are well adapted to this bloody pandemic. Menu includes both well executed classics and uniquely creative dishes. Highly recommended.
