Mr. Crab Seafood & Bar

I was craving a fish sandwich for lunch the place I normally go to closed early. I’ve been never here before but gave it try. I found my new favorite fish sandwich. It was delish!!! The buttered roll may it 100% better!!!

This place is absolutely wonderful. We are going to a concert in Hartford this evening and looked for a close restaurant to eat at before going. We lucked out quite a bit having chosen this place. I got crabcakes for an appetizer and they were delicious. Fresh, flavorful and perfectly crispy around the outside. I did not even use any tartar sauce, only a squeeze of lemon. My husband had calamari and I tasted some. I’ll say the same for that. Fresh, tasty, perfectly breaded and delicious. For the main course, I got beer battered fish and shrimp. An absolutely wonderful dish as well. Very flavorful, cooked to perfection, not too greasy at all. My husband got the Fishermans platter, several smaller question the fish kernel calamari, oysters and clams, all breaded and lightly fried. He said it was fantastic. Both dinner dishes came with Cajun fries, they were also very good. The seasoning on the fries was quite tasty and they were perfectly crispy. The atmosphere is nice, the people are friendly and we will definitely go here again if we find ourselves back this way.

This place is cozy and chic with their decor. It’s small but spacious enough. This definitely is a destination place.

The waiter was attentive and pleasant.

They definitely gave us everything we needed. The food was fresh, flavorful and memorable.

Lobster Rolls were on point! I will definitely come here again. We got take out via GrubHub, which added about $20 to the order - not the business' fault, but I'll be going direct from here on out.

I went to Mr. Crab for a quick celebratory dinner last week Friday..... My God was this such a find! Not hidden or anything but in plain sight for all to see. From staff, to food, to the ambiance, it was a complete all in all perfect score. I went after work and was blown away but I happened to stop by today after hours and the beauty of the establishment at night was very elegant and tastefully done. Listen if your ever in the area and want a real meal.... PLEASE stop in this place and get several bites and a few drinks. You’ll be in love like I am!

I love this place! The food was the best part of our experience at Mr. CRAB! YUMMY flavors popping in your mouth. My mouth waters when I talk about it! Lol! Yeah, it's that tasty. Check it out!

I was visiting my old home town and was dying to try a new seafood restaurant. My cousin recommended Mr. Crab so I was excited to check it out. It is a cute building in a great location. Parking was easy. The restaurant was pleasant and a comfortable temperature on a hot day. We left an earlier restaurant because it was too hot inside. We were greeted quickly and sat at a great table. The menu had lots of great choices. They had a very tempting seafood boil plates that you build your own. They table next to us ordered one it looked amazing. Maybe next visit. I decided on the lobster roll and it was fantastic! I choose the warm style with butter. It literally melted in my mouth. It was exactly what I was hoping for. I recommend this restaurant and the experience there.

If you are seafood lover this is your place. Mr Carb serves the best and fresh seafood. They have a wide variety starting from appetizers to Entrees. The boil seafood and feast for 2&4 ppl are also great. The Boil seafood has customizable options with spice levels and base sauce. The service is good but late though. Overall a great experience.

Went there for the first time today. Had the seafood boil for 4. King crab, snow crab, mussels, clams, shrimp & prawns with potatoes and corn. Everything was delicious and so much food. Even took some home with us. The drinks were great also!!!

It was amazing! Clam chowder was fantastic! I ordered salmon and I will let the picture speak for itself. It has a great bar, booth and outside sitting areas. If your in the area and want really good sea food this is the place to go.

We drove all the way out there just for this restaurant and it was truly delicious. Service was good, prices were more than reasonable and the presentation was top notch. Can't wait to go back

I always enjoy myself when I go to mr. Krabs. The staff members are so nice. Always a good vibe. You can watch the game there too. Gluten-free options available.

Loved the seasoning, crab was flavorful and not dried out. Drinks were a little weak, but I expect that for a family restaurant. But overall very happy. I'm usually pretty hesitant to eat at a place where the crab comes out in a plastic bag but I really enjoyed this.
I got snow crab with spicy Mr. Crab style seasoning.

I would avoid the spinach dip at all costs though. It's watery, lacking cheese/creaminess and I believe there was crab in it. (Which is fine, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't described as having crab on the menu.)

Overall good experience. I'd definitely go back if I lived in the area.

Our server has the bar and the whole restaurant to herself, but she did a great job staying on top of everything.

Oh My God! I have been looking for a Crab Boil place nearby for a long time and Mr. Crab fulfilled that dream. My wife and I decided to go there as we saw a newspaper coupon offering the $15 neverending bloody marys. I ordered a Crawfish boil with chorizo. Let me tell you, I spent the better part of the meal in seafood bliss! The Bloddy Mary was fantastic as well (albeit a little spicy). They give you so much food that I did not eat anything for the rest of the day. The staff was friendly and attentive but the place was busy so sometimes we had to wait to get some attention. Definetly coming back soon!

Nice waiters, the Mac and cheese was delicious and the fried shrimp and the crabs.

Dropped my kid off at SHU and stopped here for lunch. We ordered the feast for 2. The claims and mussels were hugh. We got the spicy house seasoning and it was tasty. Overall it was great. Will definitely come back here.

First time here and got the Boiler Feast for 2. IT WAS AWESOME!
The staff was very engaging and the owner was very friendly. We will definitely be back!
