Fantastic food at a place ran by amazing people! They make an effort to get to know every customer that walks in the door, and I was really impressed when I overheard the owner, Victor, telling a customer that if you’re ever looking for something that isn’t on the menu, give them some notice and they’ll make it for you. Their Cuban sandwich was phenomenal, and everything we had was so fresh. All of the meat was so tender, and I was impressed that the plantains weren’t super oily. Their desserts were awesome too!

Ordering is easy, food is delicious, authentic, and ready fast. They have a great variety and every dish I have tried so far is outstanding.
Didn't rate the atmosphere because I haven't been inside yet!

The owner is Victor is awesome and was very accommodating. My cousin and I visited and had some take out very clean, very nice patio inside seating. It's nice and airy. Hope they are going to be here forever. He gave us a sample plate It was amazing we tried like 4 different dishes! Delicious!!

My family and I were looking for some Spanish food and came upon this restaurant. I have to start off with their prices are definitely affordable. They have a big variety of Latin dishes. I enjoyed eating the yuca Pasteles they call it Puerto Rican tamales. I usually don’t eat yuca but this one was delicious. The Pasteles didn’t have no fat inside the meat which is always a plus, the seasoning was delicious. I always add extra salt to mine.
I also have to add they make the best Maduros which is sweet plantains, I have ordered them from Palma restaurant in Ansonia and they never make it as good as this place, actually I am from nyc and not even in nyc they make it this fresh I always get them burnt. If you do order from this place definitely order the empanadas the beef one with cheese was amazing, they made chicken ones as well they were both delicious. But I have to say when it comes to empanadas these are the best I ever had because they were flaky, kinda felt like I was eating a croissant. Also the Cuban sandwich was very good they aren’t cheap with the meat like some places. I will definitely be ordering here again. I enjoyed their food and so did my family.

My car died on the way to pick up my takeout order and I called the restaurant to let them know and see what time they closed. The owner was so kind and gracious, and offered to bring my dinner to me on the side of the road. I waited in the car for an hour and a half for AAA to arrive and had a delicious hot meal while I waited. It was freezing out, and I was so touched that the owner would bring me my food, especially since I used the two good to go app and purchased the meal at a discount. The food was fantastic, and this restaurant deserves every success they have. There are still kind people in the world, and those people happen to make good food! Thank you for your kindness and delicious dinner.

I am late on this review but for last Easter I didn’t feel like cooking so I googled and found this place I asked them if I can put orders in for rotisserie chickens and they went out of their way on Easter Day to give me time to go pick it up and let me tell you this was the best rotisserie chicken I have ever eaten !!!!! I will definitely get their catering menu again the owner was SO nice

Comfort food at it's finest! The black beans were the best I've had - perfectly spiced. Also had the Cubano sandwich with thoughts of leaving half for tomorrow.....ha! The pork on the sandwich was tender and juicy. Another gem in this plaza!! Looking forward to trying more of their dishes

Everything was cooked to order and full of authentic flavor you can tell the staff loves what they do the phone is promptly answered and everyone is friendly you're greeted upon arrival and any questions about the food are given honest answers generous portions too you really get your money's worth Catanos is officially part of my top 10 favorite places and I'd recommend them to everyone in the area

Convenient safe parking in front, a small cafeteria style Spanish restaurant. Big menu, big portions. Had the Chicharron Platter, plenty of well-prepared pork, ample portion of rice. Black beans were good.
Very clean inside, large kitchen to handle catering. No frills, just good food.
My second visit really impressed me, they worked the kinks out. Very organized, big portions, very authentic Spanish food.

1st visit to the restaurant and everything was amazing. It’s great to have an authentic Latin restaurant locally. Location is very inviting and all workers are friendly. Restaurant is clean and pricing is great for the amount of food we got.

This is the first time trying the food here and surely won't be the last. We ordered combo #1 for takeout and the chicken and pernil were extremely tasty! Also, for the price paid you get a very large amount lot of food, including empanadas, yucca fries, and rice. Everyone there was extremely friendly, and it looks like a great place to dine-in, which I look forward to doing very soon.

Amazing! Visited based off a local group page recommendation and so glad we did! Stopped in the lunch and was "Welcomed Home" by Victor. People are super nice and the food is great quality and flavor! Def worth a try! For our first visit we got chicken rice bowls

Glad I found this gem! I was traveling from NYC to Boston and decided to google Spanish food and this place pops up. All the food look so good so I had to get alittle bit of everything he had lol. Hey I’m a healthy guy. But if you’re a normal person you can get a healthy serving for a reasonable price. Most places I been when it starts getting late the food would be dry, not this place! I will definitely make this my go to spot when ever I’m in this area!

Everything I've ordered here has been great, from the ropa vieja to the pork shoulder to the burritos and cuban sandwiches. Highly recommend.

I went there for the first time just before they were closing. I expected to feel rushed but instead I met Victor the owner who introduced me to the staff and showed me around. This restaurant was so clean and organized! Victor and the staff were all wonderful! When I got home and tried the food...OMG! Fantastic! Great people, great food, winning combination!

If you haven’t eaten at Catano’s yet, you should really try them. OMG! The food is amazing! And everyone that works there (including the owner) is extremely nice and helpful. They gave me samples when I told them it was my first time there. Explaining the whole menu while I was shoveling delicious Spanish food into my mouth. If I could give more than five stars I would have. Outstanding!! Definitely will be a regular customer there

I had ordered through DoorDash last night because I’m pregnant and was craving tostones. I was heartbroken when I saw they were sweet plantains! BUT this morning I saw the kind note they left explaining they had run out. Very nice of them to leave the note, great customer service and of course the other food was delicious as always.

Delicious empanadas and the dipping sauces were amazing! We stopped in today and the owner and staff were so welcoming. Very clean, nice space. Really excited to go back and try their stews and rotisserie chicken. Great new addition to Huntington/Shelton.

My husband and I have been to Catano's three times now. The food is the best Latin food in the area - hands down. I always get the pernil and their muduros - they are both the best I've ever had. This past Saturday evening we brought our friend from RI and we got to meet the owner. He was so happy to have us and treated us like royalty. Again, the food was superb. She got their new addition to the menu - lomo saltado. I had a few bites and I think that was the best lomo I've ever had as well! My husband got three different tacos and said they were all terrific. There are tables inside as well as a newly installed outdoor seating area. Don't forget they have homemade desserts in the refrigerator cases - mango cheesecake and tres leches for the win. I highly recommend this wonderful, friendly restaurant and can't wait to return!

Tasty dishes & generous portion sizes. We ordered the stewed beef and pork shoulder combination plates. Both were really good. Also, you must try their flan—it’s sooo good.
