Petersen's Hardware

This is a GREAT hardware store. Everything you need, packed in tightly, but very well organized. My first time there, so I had to ask where things were, but staff were there, ready to help, and walked me to what I needed. This beats a big box store every time!

Great place to go with questions and not be judged. I'm looking at you big box tool stores. I went to this store three times over two days, and by my last visit, the check out lady was asking for updates on my project, which I was happy to share. We need more places like this.

Wide selection of items in every category. Staff is knowledgeable and quick to help. Very convenient location and sure beats going to big box stores for especially for small items that would be hard to find.

I've been making an effort to patronize local stores since the pandemic started. I've always known their prices are slightly higher than the big box stores, but it's ABSOLUTELY worth it considering the service you receive and time you save. I've visited about 3x in the past 2 weeks. Twice for paint which was mixed quickly (no waiting). Today I needed some replacement screws. The staff there quickly found the items I needed. If you've ever looked for a specific size bolt or screw, you know they are often mixed together, some in the correct places, with many in the wrong place. Their screw and bolt selection is IMPECCABLY well organized allowing us to find the correct parts quickly. A+ for the staff at Petersen's!

I don't plan on going back to a big-box store ever again after the service my wife and I have received at Peterson's since moving to town a few years ago. A+ service and excellent selection of the tools, parts and supplies you need! Keep up the great work Peterson's. Thank you!

The workers that day I went were very helpful especially the young man that helped me w my screens and answered questions like it was a family business and he was very polite well mannered considering there were alot of ppl in the store and I think he was short handed he Still helped everyone and quick I was impressed..you can tell when someone's raised right for sure ..

Great local hardware store. Always multiple employees available to help. They're knowledgeable and customer service is great. Plus, they pack a crazy amount of stuff into the store and have a great selection of items. Worth it over big box stores.

All the staff at Peterson’s are so helpful. Brian went above and beyond yesterday!! He even came out to my car to make sure I bought the correct cord for my trunk and showed me how to use it. Thank you so much.

I have Home Depot, Lowes, Sears and Harbor Freight with in 10-15 minute drive along with Peterson's Hardware Store. I go here first always. The help is met at the front door when I come in. They have an enormous amount of inventory in this small store. Tools I would have never thought they would have are in stock and specific odd hardware I can only find at Peterson's. This place is a gold mine for me and other DIY people with employees that have a wealth of knowledge to share. I love helping out this local store and so does the town. Maybe that's why they are still here amongst all the heavy hitters, they get it right the first time. Love this place.

This is my favorite hardware store. I won't go anywhere else. They always try to do the best they can do to help you get exactly what ya need.

Just the BEST hardware store. And you never have to look around to find somebody to help you. They just don't make stores like this anymore.

Had an Anderson Porch door lock re-keyed. Something no other hardware store/big box store would touch. Saved me lots of frustration messing with those tiny pins and springs trying to do it myself. Honest and fair price (A locksmith would have cost me the equivalent of buying an entire new door. Tried to tip him but he would not let me. This place has been around forever(Sullivan Ave. now but originally on Oakland road South Windsor.) Support these local businesses. You can't get this kind of service from a "box store" or on-line shopping.

HI I NEEDED SOME ODD PARTS FOR A HOME REPAIR I WAS DOING LOCALLY AND THE STAFF AND THE WIDE VARIETY OF STOCK THEY CARRY GOT ME IN AND OUT PRICES WERE GREAT!! THANKS FOR PETERSON TRUE VALUE , "QUALITY WITH OUT COMPROMISE ALWAYS "DANNY
