Mozzicato Depasquale Bakery and Pastry Shop

We did a little research and stopped here while in Hartford. We needed cannolis and some cookies for my daughters confirmation party. The second I walked in, it brought me back to being six years old and walking into an Italian bakery. It smelled and looked exactly the same. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. It was very clean inside. Lots of different cakes, cookies, Italian specialties, etc to try. We ordered a few other things besides the cannolis and cookies. The pizza was better than expected. If you’re getting cannolis, expect to wait a few minutes. They take your order and then fill them as you wait. It is definitely worth the wait.

I didn’t expect to put this in the review, but these are the best cannolis I’ve ever had. They use a ricotta cream Which definitely makes a difference. The chocolate was very good also. You can also add cherries, chocolate chips, or pistachios to the ends of them. I will definitely be returning when I am back in the Hartford area. Five stars!

My husband and I ordered our wedding cake from Mozzicatos.

I cannot speak more highly of the service! They called me about two weeks before the wedding to verify the details (we wanted an orange and red marbles fondant) and they gave suggestions for decorations.

The cake turned out beautifully! It was delivered without any issues- my husband and I walked into the venue and it was perfectly laid out with the flowers.

The cake itself was delicious! We actually didn’t get any to take home…apparently my uncle went for three more pieces and my 3-yr-old nephew was hitting all the tables finishing off the cake that people didn’t eat. While the food at the wedding was delicious- EVERYONE talked about how good the cake was!

We don’t mind that we didn’t get any to bring home…we know exactly where to get it again!

We bought a rum cake for my sister's birthday. We had a minor issue and let me say they treated us GREAT!!! They baked us a fresh rum cake and although we decided to go with a different flavor than the original, the owner was so nice to give us the fresh rum cake, a chocolate cake, AND goodies at no cost. He went out of his way to make sure that his customers left with a smile on their face!! We can't thank them enough for such generosity!! Customer service at this level is very rare!! They have set the bar pretty high!!!

If you are ever in Hartford, CT this is a must go to place!!! I promise you won't regret it! They have amazing treat, cakes, bread and more!!👏👏👏 (Also, the best rainbow cookies I've ever had)

We had a cappuccino and gelato at the café and then went over and grabbed some pastry items to go. Everything was wonderful wonderful…. We will be back

Loved it! There was so much variety, I had a very hard time picking just a few items. I wanted to walk out of there with one of everything! Lord help me now! Fellow ricotta lovers---Unite here! 😍😍😍😍

I be coming to this bakery since I was a little kid I love the pastries and also the fruit cakes always fresh service is a little slow but the atmosphere is good

We ordered the fruit cake as our wedding cake back in September. As part of our consultation, we were shown different designs and allowed to mix and match elements across the different designs. We chose a cake with ribbon and flowers, and were asked to bring our materials to the bakery ahead of the wedding. We chose some fairly cheap fake flowers, and I can't believe how beautiful the bakery was able to make them look! Not only was our cake gorgeous, but it was also fresh and delicious. The delivery to our venue also went smoothly.

Shoutout to mozzicatos bakery in hartford for making us the most beautiful wedding cake! It was exactly how I described wanting it and it was perfect! The flavor was so yummy as well!

First time back here in years and it is still the same - wonderful and delicious! Got our cannolis, pizza and spinach pie. Can't wait to go back!

THE Italian bakery left in the south end of Hartford...and was probably tied for best back in the heyday of all things Italian on Franklin Avenue. Their cannoli is the best I've had anywhere, noticeably more nuanced sweet ricotta flavor than the big shops up in the North End of Boston. Great fruit & cream cake and the chocolate mousse cake is great too. Nice savories like pepper biscuits, arancini and simple pizza slices. I could list many more great choices there including the breads.

This is my all time favorite bakery! I've been going here since I was born, 40 years ago!

It was my son’s 1st bday and it had to be special. So we ordered a tiramisu mickey mouse cake as per the theme of the party. The flavors...mmm ... I still get the feel at the back of my mind. It was a layer cake with a combination of flavors , there was chocolate and vanilla and tiramisu. All our guests just loved it.

I am concerned that "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee" has not been filmed here (yet). Bossa Nova played on the stereo and there was Ricotta Gelato. Also the pizza looked amazing.

Just heated up at home a stuffed bread and arancini from Mozzicato's and I don't have the words to describe how much I enjoyed it. I'll be back next week to pick up dinner again.

Every bakery item they sell is top notch. Service is impeccable. Perfectly classic Italian bakery. Tray pizza by the slice and other lunch items sold cold but can be warmed up next door in the seating area.

Simply put, Mozzacato DePasquale on Franklin Avenue is the best bakery around. From the fresh baked rolls, stuffed breads and pizza to the scrumptious cakes, huge selection of tasty cookies, filled-to-order canollis and other delectables; you will not find a more authentic Italian bakery & pastry shop. I've been going there for decades, and the quality is always excellent & reliable. Concediti il meglio in Mozzacato!

Best cannolis (as you can see they didn’t last long) and after dinner drinks. Love coming here for dessert - friendliest staff!
