I was ready to be brutal since it’s in a major city. Boy was I turned around! The brussel sprouts were heavenly. The bolognese was creamy, but the flavor complexity was surprising. The Il Diavolo pizza was fragrant and delectable. The ingredient quality takes center stage with fresh cheese and chili peppers. The smell was incredible. Words don’t exist to properly describe the experience. The real star of the table was the chicken masala. The plating was gorgeous and the flavor was perfection. Oh yeah, did I mention they have great prices?? I will be back soon.

Great spot for some authentic Italian food in downtown Hartford! Outstanding service, nice sized portions for the price, and most importantly, great food. I tried the “Sunday Dinner” which had veal braciole, spicy Italian sausage, a huge meatball, polenta, and great sauce. They had a great wine list and made a solid old fashioned!

This place is absolutely AMAZING!!! My 2 friends and I visited Sorella's while traveling from out of town and our lives have been forever changed! If you can, request to have Nichole as your waitress! She made our experience even better and is just the best!! The food is so fresh and delicious! If there is one thing that you HAVE to try, it's the Dish Bread! You will not be disappointed!!! We can't wait to go back to Hartford!

Food was great. We had the calamari app before dinner. Which is great. It's lightly breaded and perfectly fried. I had the chicken Parm as my entre this time. Last time I had the PigChop which is also great.

Stopped in for a lunch date with my husband since it sits right between the office buildings each of us work at. Our server was so very friendly! I ordered the Kitchen Sink salad with shrimp. It was SO delicious!!! My husband had the shaved steak sandwich and fries. That looked very tempting! (Of course I stole a frie or 2 off his plate!!) Atmosphere is quaint. You almost forget you are downtown! Highly recommend!!!

Every year we go to see A Christmas Carol and spent several years going to The Dish for dinner. Since it closed, we have been trying to find a good place. We came to Sorella and we're nothing less than impressed! The food was hot and delicious. Our server Bill was friendly and attentive, with a great sense of humor. We will definitely return.

I had the Sunday Dinner that I could not get enough of.
I am very picky with my meatballs having grown up in NYC with all the Italian restaurants/delis etc. - these were great and the Braciole was just as good.
My girl had the Salmon which she raved about.

This restaurant is a gem un the heart of Hartford, CT. The food was amazing and service was great.

Okay WOW. I had low expectations for this place cause it was our 3rd choice but the other places were booked but oh my.. this food was incredible.

Got Spicy Rose Vodka (comes w sausage and mushrooms) and gluten free penne. Creamy, spicy, earthy, delicious.

Boo got the eggplant parm. They cut that thing THICCC. Perfectly cooked it and it had a more robust, almost meaty consistency. Cheese was brown and bubbly.

Tiramisu was elegantly balanced, flavorful, not too sweet.

Drinks were good too. Got the cranberry mule with cranberries as a garnish.

Highly recommend this gem.

They accommodated our large group on a Friday night which was much appreciated! The food and service were very very good. The only thing lacking for the meal was no bread for the table, Which for Italian restaurant seems odd. Outside of that it was excellent.

Awesome little Italian restaurant in downtown Hartford close to everything! The food is great. The prices are right and the service is amazing! Also, a fantastic place for a private event in the downstairs “speakeasy”!

Everything was really great and yummy! The pizza, the starters, and the drinks!
The atmosphere and the staff and service were absolutely perfect!
So go ahead and pay them a visit!

We dined at the bar on a busy night before a UConn Women's basketball game. Great food, great service, clean and comfortable. If it's a game night, I highly recommend you make a reservation.

got the cheesy garlic bread to start (yes), had great service with multiple servers checking in through the night, and they were not pushy trying to get us out. we went on a Saturday and didn't have to wait to sit at one of the high top tables in the bar.
had the scampi and shared gnocchi and Bolognese.. all delicious!!
great martinis and wine selection. I'd go back again and try some more options on the menu. espresso martinis with real espresso. warm, cozy interior with a big brick oven in the back.

Great happy hour and even better meals. I highly suggest checking this place out. The happy hour options are fantastic. The house red blend wine is delicious, the pizza is cheap but amazing, and all the ingredients taste fresh so the meals are exceptional.

I had the Spicy Vodka Rose Pasta and it very well may be the best pasta dish I have ever had from all over the country. The homemade fennel sausage was incredible. My husband has a sandwich that he also loved!

Stopped here on a Monday afternoon in the drive back to NYC from Maine. And it was such a great decision! We were seated outdoors immediately, and the staff was very friendly. We had the Black Linguini which had the shrimp along with amazing jalapeno pesto. Also had the Spicy Vodka Rose with the hot sausage, and it was awesome too!

A party of 5 yelp friends went to sorella in beautiful Hartford. We weren't disappointed with anything we ordered.
I love that they have a special mocktails section of the menu..not everyone wants to or can drink alcohol.

The orecchiette, came with homemade sausage broccoli rabe and Romano cheese which was delish homemade pasta made in-house as well

Rigatoni saltimbocca
Which all had the homemade and house-made pasta and everyone seemed to enjoy their dishes as well I definitely would be coming back to check out the other items that they had on their menu cuz everything was excellent

Good food and nice service. Your typical Italian restaurant and bar. Perfect for after work or family occasions.
