Pleasure Beach Park

A beach that is almost empty .. on a Sunday .. yes please! .. Federal funding has currently made this beach, parking, water taxi, and tram rides all free!

Wow! I walked to Pleasure Beach from Long Beach. It was about 2 miles one way. The walk was amazing!! So peaceful. I felt like I was on a vacation adventure. I walked to the right away from the beach.The sand eventually turned into very old pavement. There was a lot of talk grass and an abandoned building. There was some trash strewn about. There is a newish pavilion with swings and umbrellas. There was not a soul in sight and it was a bit creepy. There is a nice boardwalk that lead to the beach. I went on a nice day in April and really did not expect to see anyone. I really enjoyed going.

Great place to get away from it all for a few hours or the whole day. Shuttle boat every 25 minutes for free, thank you City of Bridgeport and former mayor Bill Finch. Nice pavilion with showers,rest rooms and snack bar. Just a shame it only runs Memorial Day to Labor Day

Beautiful! Tons if potential. Saw so many cool shells and plants I had never seen before. There's a gorgeous boardwalk with signs showing the history of pleasure beach as you walk in. It's far to the beach which is good to see a lot of nature on the way! you can always take a cart there or back. We walked in and rode back..the cart drivers are really friendly. Only thing is, there's nice new garbage cans where they've renovated but they need to ADD SOME GARBAGE CANS ALL DOWN THE BEACH PLEASEEEE. People unfortunately aren't waking it back...come on let's keep it clean it looks so nice and Bridgeport deserves it!

It's like having your own island. Very quiet and relaxing. Plenty of room for yourself and families. They even have concession stands. Hot showers to bath after a day of swimming in the ocean.

Every staff members were so polite. Would sure love to see more attractions there like the good old days. Always a good time when I go.

Free parking, short boat ride to island, long walk from dock to beach, history kiosks along walkway, pavillion with bathrooms and food stand (burgers, dogs, soda, water and such) at beach, narrow and stoney beach, not crowded.

Amazing local get away,lots of nature for kids to explore,avoid the crowds and hop on the free water taxi,it's like your own private island

I trully love coming to pleasure Island. Everything is wonderful. The staff is so polite and nice. Thumbs up Beidgeport. It's worth the drive!👏👏👏👏👍👍
