I have been going to Yoga Born for over 2 years now. Previously I had no experience with yoga but I have done many other types of exercise. There are many things I love about Yoga Born so I will share a few. Firstly there are a variety of levels of the class from beginners to advanced so I could progress at my own speed. Second each class has levels built into it and we are encouraged to "listen" to our bodies and decide for ourselves how much we want to do of each pose. Thirdly the instructors are all very good and very nice offering positive encouragement without pressure or judgement. I would encourage anyone, of any fitness level or age to try Yoga Born and see for yourself the benefit that can be derived from the practice. Also the people in the classes are fun and supportive making the whole experience both fun and enjoyable.

I’m truly enjoying my yoga born experience. Mixed class has worked wonders for my stiff body. I’ve been pain free for some time now and enjoying outdoor activities. The environment is friendly and the instrucotrs are caring. Dawn is a great instructor to work with. She provides simple and easy to follow instructions. I highly recommend it to anyone. Give it a try, you may like it too!!!

Update 5/9/18
Two years of practicing yoga at Yoga Born and I'm getting amazing results. First of all, I still love it! The staff and community are wonderful and supportive. I hate to exercise and have never stayed with an exercise routine for more than a couple of months. That's how much I enjoy practicing yoga at Yoga Born. I also love the results. The breathing techniques keep me relaxed. My balance and flexibility have increased tremendously. My core strength is increased - I actually have ab muscles that support me! One year ago I tripped and fell, fracturing 5 ribs and separating my shoulder. Thanks to my previous year of yoga, my recovery time was quicker and I had less problems during the recovery period due to the strength and stamina I had developed practicing yoga for a year. I returned to my practice as soon as I was able and worked on getting the strength and flexibility back in my shoulder. Because I snapped the ligaments, my AC shoulder joint will always look wonky. Thanks to yoga, it has been restored to about 98% of full operation. I can hardly tell how damaged it was. Yoga at Yoga Born has increased my quality of life. I'm hooked and will continue to practice yoga for the rest of my life. I'm not paying the price for good health, I'm enjoying the benefits of good health.

My Initial Review
I started practicing yoga at Yoga Born in March of 2016. My wife had been going for a year and encouraging me to join her. I regret I was so slow to take her advice. I LOVE yoga classes at Yoga Born! The instructors are all wonderful and supportive. They call it therapeutic yoga and I feel it's designed for regular folk like me. They guide you step by step through the various poses with the focus on being safe. Since starting I have seen a significant improvement in my strength, stamina, flexibility, balance and range of motion. My muscles are getting toned and I feel better all of the time. I had surgery for a torn meniscus and my knee has never felt this good. It's also a great community and I really enjoy the other people in my classes. If you've ever thought about trying yoga, or are looking for an enjoyable way to get into better shape, I highly recommend Yoga Born. If you do decide to visit I'll see you there!
UPDATE - Nine months of doing yoga 5 to 6 times a week and I'm feeling awesome! I hate to exercise so I've never been able to stick with any kind of exercise routine this long. I love yoga class and still look forward to each one. My flexibility, strength, range of motion and balance continue to improve. My goal is to be in the best shape of my life in 2017. I'm 60 years old so that's quite a goal. Thanks to Yoga Born, I'm sure I will achieve it.

Very warm and friendly studio! I took a class and a workshop with Dawn. Loved the way she teaches yoga with everybody going at their own pace and based on their levels of practice. It felt very relaxing, and I loved the positive energy! We laughed and danced at the workshop, I haven't had so much fun with yoga for a long time! Would recommend to all the levels!

I have been going to yoga born for about 4 &1/2 years and have loved every class that they offer. Sometimes I even go twice a day as I can't get enough of the quality yoga they offer. It's for every age and every ones individual bodies. Dawn and her family and staff have become part of my family. If your looking to feel better and meet some genuine wonderful people then you have found it. I have made so many wonderful friends there and they have stood beside me so many times. I have been to many yoga classes in various locations through (many!) years, but this is the first time that I've kept coming back. The Yoga Born classes are a wonderful combination of stretching, challenging and restoring. I always walk out glad that I put aside some much needed "me" time. There are times where I need the more challenging classes - and times where I need the more restorative classes. It is wonderful to have so many options with my monthly pass.

I am a newcomer to Yogaborn, but have been practicing yoga on my own for the past few months. I love the atmosphere that exists at yogaborn, from the studio, to the instructors, and the other yogis that I have shared a space with. I enjoy going to Yogaborn to expand my knowledge in yoga and add new moves to my practice. The instructors are very great at communicating the benefits, movements and breath cycles throughout the workout. As an introverted person I was hesitant to come to a group class but they are very good at accommodating for individual preferences. Great experience so far.

My lower back pain had gone from being bothersome to keeping me up at night. I saw a back doctor and after having an MRI he suggested back surgery to relieve some of the pressure that I was feeling on my nerves. I told him , I wanted to put that off and try Yoga at Yoga Born. 3 months later my back is almost pain free, although i do still have some nerve irritation down my legs. Yoga at Yoga Born works...I am continuing to be a client. They have great instructors who let you work at your own pace and are very helpful with movements.

I have been coming to Yogaborn for 2 years. Before I came to yoga, I used to get out of bed in the morning with a very stiff back. After about 3 months taking yoga classes at Yogaborn I realized that I get out of bed pain free and happy ! I enjoy the kind and relaxed atmosphere. You can go to any class and modify it yourself to your own needs. There is no judgement on how you look.
My favorite class is Mixed Levels on Friday at 5. It's the perfect time and Heather is awesome. Most other Yoga studios in the area don't even have Friday classes.
There are several different ways to pay and may even be a better deal than most other studios.

Yoga Born is awesome! The instructors are excellent at providing detailed instruction through all the poses so you never have to worry "Am I doing it right?" The atmosphere is warm and friendly without even a hint of pretention. It is highly accessible, very high quality yoga, where everyone who walks through the door feels at home and happy to be there.

This is a great place to practice yoga. It's a welcoming and judgment free space. A wonderful studio to start or continue your yoga practice. Dawn makes it feel lighthearted and that it's okay to laugh, talk or whatever you feel, while in the moment. Each teacher brings their own gift to the space and you truly learn from each one. Highly recommend that you try Yoga Born Studio.

Each time I finish a class at Yoga Born, I feel strong, flexible and at peace! As someone with rheumatoid arthritis, I was somewhat hesitant about doing yoga. Now I wish I had started at Yoga Born earlier; the benefits are tremendous and my pain has gone away. Incredible teachers, supportive environment and great community.

What a great experience we had at yoga born. The instructor Veronica has such great understanding of the practice, and makes it fun, relaxing and not intimidating! This place is all about the little personal touches, from the free hair ties in the bathroom, complimentary ginger tea concoction, sandbags on your feet, to the owner Dawn helping with a pose to put you in the perfect position for your body. This family are so in touch, and really care that you get the most out of your time spent in their studio.

I have been attending yoga classes at Yoga Born for about 6 months+. I look forward to yoga class each week because it gives me some well needed "ME" time that I otherwise would not get. With a busy full time job and young child, this helps me de-stress. I also find myself getting a nice workout and enhanced flexibility after attending class. I would recommend this to anyone looking to de-stress and have some dedicated "ME" time. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and the attendees of the classes are as well. Overall a nice experience, I would definitely recommend.

I first went to Yoga Born when I was 6 weeks pregnant. I had never done yoga before, but I knew adding yoga to my daily routine would be beneficial for my well being and for my baby's throughout pregnancy. I researched many yoga studios in the area and came across Dawn Greenfield from Yoga born who was certified for prenatal yoga. I started off with a “get to know you” session with Dawn just to see if her studio was the right fit, and I knew from that brief meeting that she was passionate about her practice and for the people she worked with. I attended regular group classes and at first I had some apprehensions since 1) I was a yoga novice, and 2) I was pregnant and aware that some poses were not appropriate during pregnancy--I just wasn’t sure which ones. Thankfully under the guidance of Dawn, her verbal instructions were exceptionally clear and would offer modifications to poses that would otherwise be dangerous to a pregnant woman. My daughter is now 2.5 years old, and I still go to Yoga Born to destress and clear my mind. It is a very warm and welcoming place, and I am always grateful for the time I can spend there.

During my last year at Yoga Born, all the facilites available have been a great help to me. The yoga classes and meditation sessions are helping me to learn stay present and keep me moving. Many passages Dawn has read at the end of classes struck home with me and helped me learn about myself. Last winter my dog started having health issues. When Bonnnie started doing Reiki for animals, I brought him, attribute his recovery to these sessions and had a session for myself as well. Dawn is very innovative in attacting new clientele with the events she puts together. I took advantage of experiencing the massage therapist during one of these events and love her work as well. All who work there are friendly and helpful. I look forward to my continued relstionship with Yoga Born.

We searched for a yoga studio where beginners could REALLY learn the poses, the modifications, etc. Most studios that we visited had “beginner” classes where there would be a room full of people who already knew what they were doing, so there was zero instruction from the teacher. That just leads to injury and frustration! Then we tried Yoga Born ... THIS is what we were looking for. They ask if you have any injuries or reasons to modify poses and then show you how to make it work for your body. They teach! And, as an added bonus, the instructors are real people like you and me, not marathon runners who wear the latest Lulu Lemon, so go ahead and wear your favorite sweatpants and t-shirt because you won’t feel like the odd man out!

I went to a personal session to find out whether yoga could help me and if so, which class(es) I should attend. Dawn was very helpful and I could tell that yoga would, in fact, make my joints stronger and more stable. She gave me some things to take home and work on until I could make it to the next class. It was very relaxing. They really make taking care of you a priority and want to help you make it a priority for yourself as well.

Yoga Born is an amazing, judgement free, always a good time type of community. The teachers are knowledgeable about the practice and help you with any/every pose you have trouble with. I try to make it to the studio 5 days a week for some solid self care and to de-stress. Give it a try—you won’t be let down!

I have been going to Yoga Born for years. Having gone to other yoga studios, I find this one meets my needs such as variety of times and a diverse menu of focus classes. Having had back and shoulder issues, the staff constantly modifies and checks in with me to make sure all things are good.
