Charlie's Pizza

Had the Bacon Pepper Jam Burger with fries and coleslaw while I waited on my car to be worked on at Hoffman Ford around the corner. The handmade patty with caramelized onions was juicy perfection! Kudos to the coleslaw...😘😘 Didn't expect the sweet-and-tart flavor which totally balanced the entire meal. 👍👍

The BEST pizza ever!! Just ordered LG and a small pizza 🍕 and both were hot hot like I was there dining in. Delivery was fast and very courteous. Will NEVER order from anyone else.... Only Charlie Pizza!
Would give 10 stars if I could.

Hi Friends... My family and i have been going to Charlie's Pizza for over 20 years. There restaurant is Family owns and family oriented
there consistent in the recipe, Is what make there pizza the very best in town ,in my book.

we always get a large pizza (sausage and xtra cheese) and a two liter Ginger ale. Owners and staff are very friendly, they get to know their clientele i appreciate that they recognize me when I come in. It a friendly welcome. Buon appetit to everyone.

No-frills pizza place - what you see is what you get, and there's nothing wrong with that! The pizza was great; tons of flavor and plenty of cheese. We came with a friend who lives in Connecticut and has been going here for years, and it was great to have something the locals like!

Excellent pizzas, I loved my white pizza 🍕 with pesto, it was deli and my friend ordered Mediterranean and buffalo chicken.
The second time I went there I tried the Greek pizza and omg delicious !!!
Great service and the owner is so nice 👍🏼

Haven't been there in years but LOVE LOVE LOVE the pizza here. Tampa FL needs a place like this. Hope to visit again soon

I would rate the food at 5 stars. The wings and pizza are out of this world.

Pulled off freeway on way to Boston based on these reviews and I wasn't disappointed. I had the 8" chicken parmigiana pizza and tasted really good with a deep topping. It was nearer 10" as well.
Also had a latte which was great and slightly stronger than the usual, which saved me asking for an extra shot in the second.
Service is great with a homely feel.
The salad selection seems wider and better than usual as well, although didn't try one.
I cannot fault Charlie's. I hope to return for dinner when I am next in CT.

The Food:
I've always had Charlies when younger, I loved the pizza and boneless wings, I stopped coming here around the pandemic and wanted to come back so I can have a trip down memory lane, and I can say now that it did NOT disappoint me. The chicken was a nice texture along with the spice of the mild sauce with it. the Curly fries were fries, however the pizza was too good. When eating square pizza I don't expect the best, but boy did I make a fool out myself coming in thinking the pandemic would ruin this place. For desert I got red velvet cake, a little sweet for my liking but still good, I'm not into sweet stuff so for you sweet lovers, you'll love it.

Customer service: The customer service was amazing, with the worker consistently checking up on me and my girlfriend, asking if we wanted more water, or if we wanted the lights more dimmed. It was amazing.

The Price: CHEAP! this was not as expensive as I thought. for everything I said in the food section, it was only $38. With prices going high after the pandemic that is a great deal.

Pizza was a tad greasy but overall an amazing experience!! Nice quiet low key and laid back ... If you're looking for a place for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and don't want to listen to a restaurant clatter this is your spot!!

I went on a Sunday night with my son & his partner and my daughter. We had a shrimp scampi pizza that was outstanding! And a chicken parmesan pizza that was excellent! My only issue was with the fountain soda. It was mostly flat. The awesomeness of the pizzas totally make up for flat soda! Next time I'll just get a 2 liter. Issue solved.

I'm sorry, but THIS is the best pizza in Connecticut.

Been goin here for over 20 years. Even if I move out of state, I still go back. This place is still the best spot to this day. I'd go to dine in more but delivery ain't bad. The owners and cooks are all nice. And you'll get the best Italian food right here.

Best pizza around. I travel two towns over just to have their food. It's always fresh and the staff there are so friendly. When family come from out of state to visit and complain they can't find good pizza at home, I bring them to Charlie's and they are never disappointed. Give them a try, you'll thank me later!!

The best pizza in town! I have been coming to Charlies for many years! Their prices are reasonable! The staff and owner are super nice! I always order a Mediterranean Pizza which is my favorite! Their Antipasto and Chef salad is so good with their home made creamy garlic dressing! A family run business that has been around forever! That’s why I keep coming back!!!!

ordered pastrami and genoa salami with shared french fries and the grinders were exceptional and fries crispy. had a out of body experience it was so good. thank u, i will be back

Absolutely fantastic! My family has ordered from Charlie's for many years. Today business access was completely blocked off by the Hartford Marathon. Inside, they had a great attitude, they made me a fresh pot of coffee, and I felt really welcomed. But I always feel really welcome.

Charlie's Pizza really cares about their customers, and how fresh their food is. It's in a great location right at the intersection at Governor Street exit.
