Ocean State Job Lot

I am so grateful for the great bargains and super-attentive staff at OSJL in Berlin, CT. Last night, I mistakenly left my billfold at one of the register countertops there. It had my IDs, credit cards, checks, cash - you name it. Once I realized I had left it, it was too late to call the store. As you can imagine, I spent a sleepless night. However, when I went to the store at 8:00 am - and thank goodness, too, for holiday extended hours at OSJL - Customer Associate Liz and Store Manager Gene told me they had found my billfold before anyone else had - and had locked it away for safekeeping. Thank goodness for these OSJL kind people and retail professionals! I do enjoy shopping at this OSJL location in particular, and now everyone who reads this will get an idea of how great the staff members are there. Thanks, OSJL Berlin CT for helping keep my holidays happy!

Great store! Cashier was very helpful and very friendly. I will definitely shop there more often.

Nice clean organized store but the cashier seem like she didnt want to be there or work she was sucking her teeth every time she would scan items.

Love the prices and hidden items such as eye glasses at a third of cost elsewhere.

Nice clean store,great prices,and the cashier was so nice!

Ocean State has quality items of all different nature from lounge pants to spices to household items and more,check the weekly flyer for additional items on sale or promotion,use the Wacky Cash card for unbelievable deals on certain items,pretty good place to shop,only other companies in the plaza is Harbor Freight tools and WahWa Kitchen then Tandy Leather but Ocean state has many cool items to choose from.

Fun place to shop. You could spend half a day looking at all the different merchandise.
I've bought everything from area rugs to bar soap, and all at a savings.
How can you go wrong buying your spices for a dollar each.
Sometimes getting down the isles can be difficult when the store is crowded or the shelves are being stocked, due to some isles being very narrow.
The register process is fairly quick and they have an excellent return policy.
There is plenty of parking.
If you enjoy poking around and saving money, this is the place to shop.

Denise in Customer Service is an angel and this Job Lot is so lucky to have her on their the team. She was so kind over the phone when I called with a damaged return concern. She was even MORE kind in person as she called at least 5+ different Job Lots to track down an item I was hoping to make an even exchange for. Finding retail workers that genuinely care about the customers is hard to come by these days, but Denise went above and beyond my expectations to give me the absolute best customer service. Thank you Denise!! And to Berlin Job Lot-give this woman a raise she most definitely deserves it!!

Always find little cool stuff there. They did charge 99.99 dollars for set of chapstick that we did realize until we were in the parking lot. They had no problem finding the mistake and refunding it. They did offer a gift card for our troubles, but just making sure we were happy was all we wanted.

They carry some cool Italian chocolates and a lot of foodstuff imported from Europe. One secret, they have so much variety of Ritter Sport, that puts our local Stop and Shop to shame! We love shopping here, do not go by the appearance of the store, there are real deals here! We call it working people's Walmart!!

OSJL has food items you do not see elsewhere. Much of the textiles are first quality. Very nice pet department.
Went in for a new box, left with $40 of good buys.

I love all the food options that you can not find in other stores and those that can be found elsewhere are at prices that can not be beat! They also have quality pillows, bedsets, and bath towels at great prices. Sporting goods, water shoes, sandals, and lots of beach stuff at excellent prices.Some clothing and sometimes they have something they call crazy deals, where they give you an Ocean State Job Lot gift card with a certain product purchase. Sometimes those crazy deal gift cards are for the same amount as the price of the product! Check online and in the flyer that you can get in store at the entrance.

Great deals nice people working there helpful and kind to there customers.

The manager is truly a big asset to the company. Very knowledgeable, friendly, helpful.

Great prices on things you need. Just don't expect everything you've purchased in the past to always be there next time you want it. Overall, a great store for saving money and finding good bargains.

Great place for last minute finds. Always has what I need at a reasonable price. Staff is also super friendly.
