Roly Poly Bakery

I started traveling from North of Hartford to Roly Poly in New Britain for the Babka. I continue going for the amazing people, atmosphere, food and service. This Polish supermarket/bakery/deli is an absolute treasure and you don’t have to be Polish to think so! I have Lithuanian roots, my Husband is Ukrainian, and we both find brilliant foods and drinks here. The Breads. Salads. Juices. Honey Beer. Chocolate! There’s so much to enjoy!

You don’t have to speak or read Polish to be able to shop at Roly Poly, although I won’t lie, it’s easier if you do at least one of those things. However, all you really need is Google Translate on your phone and you can read basically any label you need to! The Prices are fantastic as well, so go check it out!

Great variety of freshly produced Cakes, Pastries, Bread, Rolls etc and all convenience products.
Freshly baked bread provides great ambiance & aroma to attract large crowds.
Friendly staff, free parking & Good layout.
It's hard to resist some of the offerings.

9.16.23 Whether you speak Polish or not, it doesn't matter. Most staff is bilingual. And you can find amazing Polish dishes, cold cuts, Kielbasa, baked cakes and danishes, chocolates, teas, pickles, marinated mushrooms, breads, mustards and on and on. You can grab a coffee or treat and sit upstairs on the 2nd floor and watch the floor. This is a very well run place, very clean, and delicious foods. Free parking in their lot.

Anything and everything polish food related you could want or need including delicious prepared food, cakes, deli meats, etc. Be prepared to bag your own groceries. They have paper bags, but you can bring your own. Plenty of parking.

Roly Poly Bakery is AWESOME!! Store is very neat, airy, good lighting and has a very well stocked assortment of Polish foods for every pallet!!! This is a go to spot for wonderful fresh and packaged foods. Parking area is ample on a week day, weekends, get there early!! Excellent friendly service!!

Great place to shop for anything Polish. They have the best variety I've seen in most polish delis and stores. The only "complaint" I have is that they need a few more bilingual employees back by the meat section. My family is polish, from Poland, but I was never taught how to speak it other than a few words and phrases. I can understand some, but that doesn't help me order what I'd like. Many other customers I've noticed also do not speak polish. Thankfully, a lot of the other customers are always willing to help. The employee do try their best though

The rose paczki is HEAVENLY- one of these got devoured in the parking lot as soon as I left the store. I’ve only ever seen paczki in stores right before lent, so knowing that I can get them here year round is dangerous. They also have a fabulous selection of polish groceries. Side note: it helps if you can speak a little Polish.

This is a great store if looking for Polish foods. Fantastic Paczki and baked items. There is a deli and cooked foods are available also. Sandwiches are served too. They also have cheeses and meat. This is worth a trip.

I haven't been to Roly Poly in over 23 years. I'm so glad I went last week. Oh what wonderful changes! I loved it! The store is clean,and so well organized. Although I don't speak the languages accustomed there,the ladies were very helpful! Yes,the prices are a little high,but it's like that in any store. The quality of products are the best of the best. I bought bread rolls,sausages,cheese,pierogies buckwheat and a couple of other food products. I will be returning on a regular basis. The parking for handicapped is right near the entrance. Plus a lot of parking that is close enough to the store. Roly Poly has come a long way since being just a bread bakery. I highly recommend this store.

This is a Foodie heaven! The deli has great selection of meats and plenty of associates to help you with your order. They also have a separate section just for hams , pork loins and kielbasa’s, wonderful.Large selection of Polish beers ,pickles ,fresh desserts , spices . And did I mention bread-rolls - hot cooked meals ready Togo. Golabki, pierogies soups sides . Did I tell I love this place. Welcome to little Poland

Tasty Polish food. My friends had the pierogi and cabbage sald. I had the zapiekanki and cabbage salad. Both were delicious. I also bought the Farmers Bread and it was very tasty. I'll definitely be going back for those. They had a wide selection of Polish foods and goods. The only minus was that I wish they had more types and firms of Polish cookies.

A wonderful Polish/European store that includes a bakery, meat and cheese case, dairy case, isles of Polish goods like beets, sauerkraut, lots of great candies. The meat case has loads of cold cuts, sausages and pate. The cheese case has a nice selection Polish and other cheeses. There is a case of prepared food that is ready for take out. They also have a small restaurant of sorts where you can select Polish specialties from a limited menu and consume this on the premises. For all all things Polish and then some this is a great place to shop.

Great place for authentic Polish foods at a really good price. Also, a great selection of baked goods that are not giant blocks of sugar. Sweet yes, but not super overloaded with sugar sweet. The deli has a wide range of meats and cheeses at a fair price. I purchased 3 lbs of lunch meat for the price of 1 lb at Stop and Shop. And the staff is really kind and helpful.

We absolutely love shopping here but since the new year prices are through the roof. My husband loves shopping here I just hope they don't price us out!

I’ve been coming to this store for over 18 years and I’m always more than satisfied with the quality of the food. There are many options of fresh kielbasa, cold cuts, baked goods and prepared meals. I highly recommend this store to everyone.

Very nice market with bakery and deli. As known to all locals, this place stocks an almost exclusive Polish variety of brands as well as Polish tradition of prepared goods.

Absolutely love Roly Poly! All the food is fresh and tasty. I love going there to get rye bread and all the other Polish goodies!

Even if polish food isn't interesting to you, Roly Poly is worth the visit for reimported foods. Brands you have all the time, but made in the EU. They taste better, contain less sugar and are overall more nutritious. Even things like candy make the trip worth it. Better tasting chocolate and gummies than you're used to. You don't need to speak polish to shop there.

I wanted to go to this bakery to see what Polish food and sweets look like. Very nice inside. I was attracted to there fresh pastries and cakes. Store also sells fresh bread, spices and more. I definitely recommend it.
