Carbone's Prime

First time visiting. I took my mom here for dinner and had a lovely time! It was very pretty decor and loved the Christmas Trees. Our server, AJ, was extremely nice, had great recommendations and was attentive. The bread that was free was so tasty but did take a little too long to come out....it came after we started eating the appetizers. Overall the food was pretty good. We ordered two apps (meatballs and spinach artichoke dip). Meatballs were really good, the dip was okay - I prefer it to be thicker. The drinks we got were tasty. Our entrees - my mom got the salmon which she thought was delicious and I had the ribeye which was really good, but a little too fatty. We ended our meal with dessert - the chocolate lava cake which was super tasty and my mom got the torte which was good if you like that type of dessert (I prefer warm desserts).

Overall because of the atmosphere, our waiter AJ, and the food being pretty tasty, I would definitely return.

Amazing service, our waitress was all smiles and extremely attentive. Water glass was constantly filled and she had a great amount of knowledge about the menu.
I had the chicken picatta with polenta and broccoli ran, it was so good. The polenta could have been a dish by itself that I would order it was that good.
Our table also got the ricotta potato croquettes and these were so flavorful. The calamari was crispy and tender.
The bread they put on the table is super elevated. They have herbs and oil on them. So good.
I had the Creme brulee for dessert and it was incredibly well done.
This place is not cheap but everything I ate was incredible and everyone else at my table enjoyed their food as well. I would eat here again in a heart beat

Fireplace added the most perfect ambience. Waitstaff was attentive and helpful with recommendations.
The whipped ricotta with honey and Pistachio was a nice way to start the meal. The gnocchi en brodo (freshly grated parm and cracked black pepper) was a nice sized entree. Plenty to take home.

Amazing food! Literally the best steak I've ever had in my life! The chicken piccata is to die for it had these amazing mashed potatoes with it that had parmesan cheese in them and they were just divine! Drinks are out of this world the flavor profile of the fall sangria is amazing till the last drop🫗 the dessert was beautifully presented chocolate mousse with just a touch of raspberry that was also divine was so rich perfect to share.

Recently attended a wedding reception at Carbone's Prime. I couldn't have been more impressed. The staff were lovely and super helpful. My girlfriend and I had some setup to do before the event and the staff went out of their way multiple times to help us. As part of the reception, the staff catered to our every need. There was no one without a drink or anything else they requested. The food was a buffet and was fantastic. It is so difficult to pull off a good buffet, yet Carbone's Prime nailed it.
If you are looking for a small even space for a corporate event, birthday, or wedding reception, I would highly recommend Carbone's Prime.

I bought my 2 friends here. I have eaten at Carbones many times.They did not disappoint. Grilled octopus was great. Shrimp and Lobster ravioli was to die for. Braised short rib fell off the bone. The food was served hot just like I like it. My usual waiter is Scott but Mary was great in Scott's absence. Nice Atmosphere. Creme Brule was great.

My fiance and I go to all Carbone's restaurants for the ultimate dining experience. The food is delicious and always consistent. The service is top notch and the atmosphere is intimate and romantic. These restaurants are family-owned and the Hartford location has been open since 1938. It formally became Carbone's in 1961. It certainly shows that this family knows how to run a successful restaurant. We love supporting local restaurants and insist that you visit this place for a wonderful night of culinary excellence.

The waiter was very attentive. Kept plenty of drinks on the table and took away plates quickly. This place is newer with a modern theme and atmosphere. Bar area huge and has a big happy hour crowd.

Incredible food and service at Carbone’s Prime. I had 11 in my party and had the private room. Appetizers, dinner and drinks all amazing. Sorry no pics on food. Just go and you will know it was worth it.

OMG! This has to the best place to eat in Ct hands down. Came with a party of 10 for my daughter’s birthday. Absolutely beautiful place. The food was delicious and our server Lance was the best server I’ve had in 5yrs. The food came out hot and in great time. We probably tried 85% of the menu and every item that hit the table we had to order another cause it was so good. Highly recommend making a reservation! P.S try the waffle dessert, it’s absolutely amazing.

The restaurant was beautiful on the inside and very clean. Our waitress was very attentive and the food was amazing. We will definitely be back. Order the ricotta with truffle honey and pistachios!

I was here for a dinner meeting and had a choice of only four dishes. I had the beef filet, and it was excellent. Cooked just the way I wanted it. I don't recall other details. Our event was in a midsize meeting room, so there was not much atmosphere.

The food was amazing and so was the service. Prices were wonderful. For 3 people with appetizers, drinks and main course we paid $200+. Everyone wore their masks waiting for their table, and the tables were spaced apart nicely. Would definitely go there again.

Recommend: Boneless Ribeye (bacon onion jam sauce), Zuppa De Pesce, and Guava ‘Rita cocktail.

Detailed review:
We had a reservation at 7:30pm on Thursday. We got there 15’ early and it didn’t take long for us to have a table. The atmosphere is cozy and the waitresses were very friendly and helpful. We asked for recommendations and they gave us a detailed description about the food. We ordered Shrimp Cocktail and Oyster of the Day for appetizer, Boneless Ribeye (our waitress suggested bacon onion jam sauce), Zuppa De Pesca, and Guava ‘Rita cocktail.

Shrimp Cocktail: fresh, meaty, crunchy, and firm. 5/5
Oyster of the Day: fresh and standard.
Boneless Ribeye: the steak is good, but the star is bacon onion jam sauce. It’s delicious… 👌
Zuppa De Pesce: this is the best sauce I have ever eaten with linguine. My wife finished them all. REALLY GOOD!
Guava ‘Rita cocktail: the combination of black salt and cocktail is really good. 5/5

Amazing! Wish I went sooner but now will definetly be going back. Went for lunch and had raw bar apps, salad, then pizza and pasta. The bread comes with butter in olive oil, so yummy! I wasnt completely impressed with the pizza but would try again. Everything was exceptional! Staff was friendly and very attentive. The atmosphere is beautiful. Theres an area in back for large parties. This is hands down one of my favorite italian restaurants.

Short rib, bread, dessert was excellent! Good service even though they were busy. The dining room behind the bar was too cold for our whole party.

Went for happy hour this place is a must!! Short ribs Mac n cheese is to die for. And make sure you try the fries we ordered two lol.

Prime is one of those places that I will always return to. Happy Hour, quick bit, full dinner...I've done them all, and will keep on doing it.

This time my friend and I stopped in for a light dinner, and as always had a great time.

The melon and burrata appetizer was something out of this world! Perfect for hot summer days. Then we both went pizza route, and Carbone's has some great combinations of pizzas. My friend did chicken parm pizza and I had the mouthwatering Poached Pear pizza with truffle honey, gorgonzola cheese, crispy prosciutto. So so good!

We finished the dinner off with a rich creme brule!
