Chosen 1 Cajun Seafood

This is the place for seafood boils, I’ve been buying them for a few years , food is always awesome and tasty. I did this year but something was missing (sausage) I don’t eat as much seafood so I go for the sausage potatoes corn and eggs . No sausage😢 this year. I’m sure it was a simple mistake but I missed it very much.. hands down the best Cajun boiled up north…

Not spicy enough, but great quality crab and shrimp. Ordered Bloomfield bag, Cajun 1 seasoning, and “crazy hot” spice level, whatever the hottest was called. It was not very spicy. But I just came from Tampa Florida where their “crazy hot” is about 10x hotter. It was definitely tasty, but I wanted to have to take breaks and need to drink water. I wanted to sweat haha

Our service was excellent. He brought me an extra side of Cajun spice, which added flavor but not the hot hot hot hot hot I was craving

Cajun 1, please add spicier options! Your seafood is excellent and it deserves a truly crazy hot Cajun spicy spice that makes you NEED to take a bite of potato in between spicy soaked corn and absolutely drenched shrimp

Great place to celebrate a birthday. Very accommodating, service and food was great. I really enjoyed we weren't rushed to celebrate and eat, which is usually a main concern. There is nothing negative to say.

On the way to plan B burger to grab some late night snacks we saw this restaurant and it caught our attention.
It was Friday 10pm and was not crowded at all. We were seated right away and the server was at our table within minutes. The menu is simple and straight forward. We ended up going with fried calamari for apps and shrimp+mussel combo in a bag as main dish. It was simply amazing. It was my first experience eating seafood out of plastic bag and I would love to go back for some more. The seasoning was right on point, and there was plenty of food to share for 2 people. I will definitely be back for more soon.

the staff is super friendly! and the food, AMAZING. the walls around the restaurant are so original and unique.

First time going me and the wife hand the shovel. It came with so much that we took home 2lbs of it. Butter garlic Cajun Seasoning was perfect. We will ve going again. Oh, cocktails are a must.

I visited here on January 14th with my sister and 2 of my Neices, and when I say we got full we got full full lol service was also Great! I hope to return again b4 heading back to Texas Next week.

Everything was very good here, fresh seafood and all was very fresh and good. Not one complaint at all but to just keep napkin dispense to be cleaned of dust, also we took a far back table to note about napkin dispense.

So DELICIOUS. Our waitress was great. Some of the best seafood I've ever had. A must try! I highly recommend. The prices are competitive. Restaurant was clean.

The food was amazing. Well seasoned and plentiful. We ordered 2 shovels for 10 people and we have enough leftovers for dinner tomorrow. The service was good. Sometimes our waiter was easily distracted, but overall we had a great time.

The food is very amazing. Shout out Peach and Alexa and Michelle. They are excellent, exceptional waiters, highly friendly, and appropriate. They made my guests and I feel comfortable. The food is always top tier. Guaranteed.

What can I say... hands down the best seafood that I've had in I don't know how long. Will definitely be going back again soon with my family and friends. If you are thinking of going just go you will not be disappointed the "shovel" was amazing.

Used to frequent the chain location in Manchester and came to Hartford after they shut down. Was very excited by their creative decor! Great quality food - and they offer a buffet, so I will be back soon!

Love the Cajun-style seafood!!! Me and my boyfriend came here once months ago and thought it was very good so I took my mom out to dinner here for her birthday. My mom and my whole family was blown away by how delicious the seafood is we ordered the shovel for the whole table and everyone absolutely loved it and was blown away how delicious it was. The spices are on point and great presentation. Myself, I’m not a huge seafood person but I do like fried clam strips and I have to say I believe Chosen 1 has the best clam strips in CT! The cajun style sauce with the clam strips is so yummy and they season the batter perfectly and fry the clam strips to a perfect crisp… they are to die for!!! My whole family kept raving how great their customer service is and how amazing the food and drinks are. This definitely made my mom happy and satisfied on her birthday and I’m so glad I picked Chosen 1 for my moms birthday. I also recommended Chosen 1 to more family and friends since we like it so much. Thank you Chosen 1 keep up the great work!!!

We enjoyed the seafood in here..it was great n good drink too. A little expensive if u don't mind expending some money

I'm not great when searching for a seafood restaurant. I have been to Red Lobster but not a great fan of it. But today my niece decided to go to Chosen 1 Cajun Seafood, which I didn't know about. So today my sisters, nephew, and niece went to Chosen 1. Let me say, this is the first I went here and I really, really, enjoy the food.
We order The Shovel:
2 Lobster tail, 2 LBs Snow Crab, 2 LBs Gulf Shrimp, 1 LB Mussel, 1 LB Clam.

This was the best seafood restaurant I had ever been!! Now I don't have to be searching around looking for which seafood restaurant to go to. I recommend Chosen 1.
And they really use a real heavy shovel!

Food was absolutely delicious, we had the shovel and wings both were great! Servers were very nice. We will be back !

This place was absolutely wonderful! We got the shovel and it really is enough food for 4 people. We got the spice option that combines all the flavors together and it was so absolutely delicious!!!! The staff and owner were super friendly, and the service was wonderful!!! Go here you won't be disappointed!
