I support and have the utmost respect for the Bloomfield Police Dept. They have helped for years with a certain situation and have been nothing but kind, respectful and went well out of their way to help us! Locked myself out of my car like a flake but called Bloomfield police and no more than 10 min later a super nice officer (officer Sykes, I believe) was there and he expertly got me back in, no damage to the car and just a generally pleasant expericance. 👍🏻👍🏻

Bloomfield has one of the better USA Police Departments around. I believe it is the personal and individual relationships between the citizens and its police department that make a town's people empowered, respected, taken care of and safe.

Attending meetings is the best way to communicate with this department. Make your face and voice a presence at all times, not just during an emergency. Get involved. Join any number of classes or groups that this town offers (like Citizen Police Academy).

Bloomfield offers so many citizen classes and programs, but there are never enough interested and committed citizens who sign-up, and so the police department is forced to cancel these programs, which (amazingly) are often government funded.

Remember that YOUR DOLLARS keep this place running and its people employed--not the other way around. They know it. You know it. So let's all act like we understand it.
