Margie Satell at Ethan Allen Furniture is a gem.
I had been searching for a bedroom dresser for months with no success. Margie was so warm and welcoming, listened to my thoughts and showed me several possibilities, along with samples of available stains. She even came out to my house so I could see the samples in the actual setting, which made a huge difference. I am so appreciative of her knowledge, her guidance, and her patience. I recommend her without reservation. I look forward to receiving my new furniture in a couple months.

I had the pleasure of working with Margie Satell out of your Manchester, CT store. I actually live in Indiana, but asked a question via the website chat option. Within 15 minutes or so, Margie responded and answered my question. She was extremely knowledgeable and helped me choose fabrics and design. I needed the pullout couch within a certain time frame. Margie kept a vigil eye out for the couch and kept me apprised of where it was in production. I received it in time and I couldn’t have been more thrilled with the product and the outstanding customer service I received from Margie. She is an asset to your team at Ethan Allen!

I had the pleasure of working with Margie Satell at Ethan Allen in Manchester, CT. From the start she was very friendly and knowledgeable without being an overly aggressive salesperson. After listening to my end goal, she steered me in a direction that I never would have taken for kitchen stools. She even went above and beyond her duty by bringing a sample to my home to show me how it would look in my kitchen. After placing my order, Margie consistently contacted every so often me regarding the lead time. (The swivel section of the stools had a longer than average lead time) The stools finally arrived today and are much more beautiful than I expected! The leather seat covers look amazing and the quality of each piece is outstanding. I am so pleased with the choice! Many thanks to Margie for her design expertise; she was terrific to work with!

Outstanding design services provided by Aileen Kennedy at Ethan Allen.
We were thrilled with the unique pieces available for our high-ceilinged great room including living room, music corner, and kitchen counter. Aileen took our choices to another level with her recommendations for color and texture of fabric and design accents. Both pricing and turnaround time were reasonable. Delivery and set up was done with great care, and Aileen was there to make sure everything was exactly what we wanted. Although my partner had experience with Ethan Allen and Aileen, this was my first experience with the store and with a personal design consultant. Surpassed my expectations and this is how I will shop for furnishings from now on!

We had the great good fortune to work with Margie Satell in the Manchester, CT store. Margie was warm and welcoming, in addition to being extremely knowledgeable and artistically gifted in helping us coordinate fabrics and colors for an ottoman. Margie listened carefully to what our tastes and needs were when she came out to our home, and gave us great insight into how to coordinate existing furnishings with new materials, so that we could proceed with our purchase. I just have to tell you how wonderful Sue has been as a designer. She just finished our second project together. First was my Master Bedroom in My New England Home. Absolutely loved all the pieces and design. Sue's vision was spot on. Our Second project is a whole home in Naples, Florida. She listened and heard all my requests. We have purchased several pieces from Ethan Allen over the years, and are always pleased with the quality and craftsmanship. I enjoyed working with Margie Satell recently to choose a couch and chair for my home office. She was great to work with, and offered excellent suggestions after seeing my space and talking with me about the details of the pieces I chose. She also made sure to have fabric samples sent to me quickly, so I was able to make paint decisions and coordinate the work that needed to be done before delivery. In the end, delivery was smooth and on time and we are thrilled with the new pieces, thank you, Margie! One other thing that I found helpful was that many of the showroom pieces are in neutral colors, making it very easy to choose the style of a piece of furniture BEFORE choosing fabric. For me, this made it easier to think about the details of the piece, size, shape, etc, before it got dressed up with amazing fabric.

I’ve been an Ethan Allen customer since 2000 when we purchased a new home. We’ve moved twice since then and needed additional furniture. I’ve worked with 3 different designers and all of them were excellent, The quality of the furniture is uniformly excellent as well. The one time I had a problem with a fabric, well past the normal warranty period, they sent someone out who determined it was a manufacturing error and fixed it for free. My latest experience is with Aileen Kennedy at the Manchester store. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do and she helped me work through not only a great floor plan that helps us use our open plan first floor more efficiently as our needs have changed, but helped me determine which pieces I needed to reupholster and which I needed to add. What really impressed me was that she told me I could also arrange to have some pieces reupholstered through Ethan Allen so that they worked with what I was buying and I could be sure the fabrics worked with what I was keeping and buying new. She visited my home twice and spent time with me at the store and I never felt rushed or pressured and her ideas were really helpful. This is the kind of great service that really stands out. But I also found that I could save money going through Ethan Allen to do the reupholstering. The quote I had previously received from someone else for labor alone was almost as much as what it will cost to reupholster my dining room chairs and I had the added benefit of being able to pick a fabric in my home to be sure the colors would blend with what I have. So 22 years after I first purchased from them they are still providing a very high level of service and a wonderful product— if only that could be said about so many other companies.

Margie was our salesperson. What I liked best about her was her enthusiasm, knowledge and obvious enjoyment in the products she was showing us. I could tell she loved designing interiors and she loved helping us figure out what would look best in our living space. She was not pushy rather she allowed us time to express our thoughts; she listened and offered her solutions that worked best for us. Moreover, she remained in contact with us throughout the process as well as visiting our home to make sure what we wanted to purchase would fit properly and look aesthetically pleasing. Margie is a lovely person who cares about the work she does and the customers she serves.

Margie is an awesome sales representative and decorator. When we called to ask a question about beds, we ended up driving from Farmington to her store in Manchester, instead of going to the (closer) Canton store, because she went out of her way to help us on that first phone call. We really enjoyed the time we spent with her and were grateful for her expertise.She has become a friend and confidante as well!

I loved working with Margie Satell, she is an enthusiastic, charming and outstanding representative for Ethan Allen! She provided abundant and patient support while we considered multiple options to resolve our furniture dilemmas. Wanted to replace my area rug in the family room. I worked with Margie Satell to find the perfect rug. She was very helpful throughout the entire process. She kept me up to date on delivery estimates and I felt confident with my choice. I’ve purchased numerous items from Ethan Allen, both for personal use and in business. They have always been wonderful to work with and addressed any issues or concerns. Also, the furniture I purchased 20 years ago is still holding up like new.

Marjorie Satell worked with us to find the perfect dinning room table that had to fit our space requirements. She showed us the options and found the perfect size and shape table for us because we were able to customize its features. She was very friendly, personable and knowledgeable which gave us confidence in what she presented as options. The table was delivered today and the end result was even better than we expected.
