Great place, John’s awesome. I called him up around 9am Monday morning after an unsuccessful visit to a different garage and he was able to squeeze me in at 9:30 thanks to a someone who canceled on him. After a few days I can say I’m very impressed with the way my car runs and I’m really glad I chose this place to get the work done.

Unfortunately, my alternator was kaput. My serpentine belt was shot. They replaced both promptly. The staff were courteous. No mansplaining! The cost was lower than other local shops' estimates. I highly recommend this Meineke!

John, the co-owner was wonderful. He explained what was going on with my car without being condescending and fixed it for the price he quoted. You can't ask for much more than that from a car repair shop.

I absolutely love the service I get here. The owner is fabulous and always helps me. We have a great rapport and when I call or drop my car off he always gets it done in a timely manner way faster than I expected and always at a reasonable time frame. I have literally basically had my whole car redone here, and at this point when I call and say it's the girl with the scion he knows right away it's me. He treats everyone like family, with respect and courtesy. The people in the shop as well are fabulous and always get the work done without problems. After my fiance had passed away (who was a mechanic) I had a hard time finding another mechanic that I trust and I can honestly say that I would not bring my car anywhere else. I trust them to do their jobs and do them well and every time I get treated like top priority. Definitely recommend them.

Started Saturday with a rusted out engine pipe and muffler worrying about where I could go and what it might cost. A friend recommended Meineke on New Britain. I called John at about 10:30 and by 2pm I was able to pick up a repaired car at a reasonable price. He was transparent about the time and cost up front. Great service!!

I brought my car in for exhaust repair and state inspection and emissions. I knew that it also needed brakes and a few other things fixed to pass. Chris and the team were straightforward and explained everything in detail. They performed the required repairs and had my vehicle ready for pick up just a few hours later. Overall, a great experience. The best part of was their honesty and integrity about the vehicle repairs and not feeling as though they were trying to take my money for things that were not needed. I’ll be taking my vehicles here moving forward and be confident that I’m being treated fairly.

Shop is tad rough looking on the outside but they got the needed work done on time and on budget. I get the sense these guys enjoy working on cars so that’s a big plus in my book. Thank you!

I got a flat tire and my car was towed here. The guys we super flexible, quick, and easy to work with! I didn’t feel like I got overcharged or upsold, and my car is as good as new.

John was amazing. It was a roller coaster of a car day and he got it fixed so fast it was amazing.

The service was great. They were able to get me in the next day after I called for my check engine light being on. They explained what the issue was and what the cost would be, and the repair was done quickly and to my satisfaction.

My husband needed a change of breaks. The you g man inspected the rotors and suggested to have them changed as well. It went very fast and they answered all of our questions and had an invoice ready. I recommend them to anyone in need to car service or breaks replaced.

I love getting my car repaired here. Once I get my car fixed, it's fixed. I don't need to revisit for the same problem. Before I met John, the owner, I went to Hartford Toyota about a curious noise coming from my wheels. They told me I needed new tires, so I bought new tires but the noise continued. Didn't have the time to schedule another appointment with Hartford Toyota so I dropped in at Meineke which was close to where I lived. He checked the wheels and discovered that I needed brakes, not tires! He was right. The noise went away after he was finished. Needless to say, I have been going to him ever since and was never disappointed.

I can not recommend John more highly. We were in a serious bind, on a road trip and the engine blew up in my 1984 school bus, we ended up having to go through the warranty process and John was incredibly patient and communicative, following up on getting the new engine shipped to the shop and having it installed. 100% recommend his shop, they’re amazing guys.

I called so I can have my vehicle inspected for a noise. I was able to drop my vehicle off. The owner was able to diagnose the issue and complete some other work in a moments notice. He provided me with excellent customer service and the vehicle was repaired the same day. I am definitely coming back for future repairs.

I brought my car in for a basic oil change, it was the first time I’d ever been there, and I was treated like a regular. They got it in and out in less than a half an hour. I was so impressed I asked if I could bring my other car in, and was told they could take me back that afternoon. Again, I got there, and the crew was ready for me and had me out of there in a heartbeat. I am new to the Hartford area, but I do believe I have found my regular mechanics. Both my boys' cars had an issue at once and John took great care of us ( as usual)... which is why I drive a half hour to bring my cars to him rather than going to a local shop.
I'm always really busy with work and John always strives to schedule at my convenience when it comes to time. He had me to drop off both my vehicles, and pick them up the next day. He called me with updates and serviced the cars quickly at a fair & reasonable price. We also appreciate his advice when it comes to buying tires etc....No reason for our family to go anywhere else!
