Stop & Shop

About 2 years ago I was in this Stop & Shop. I had an automatic deposit of $4,000.00 into my checking account which my bank told me had cleared. I had a $200.00 food order and went to check out it it wouldn't clear. I called the bank and was told everything was good and to try it again. Didn't work. I asked the manager to put my groceries in the meat refrigerator and I would be back 1st thing in the morning with cash. She said not to worry and paid for my food order out of her own pocket. I thanked her and came back the next day to pay her back. She said that was unnecessary and for me to PAY IT FORWARD. WHICH I DID. I CAN'T THANK HER ENOUGH FOR HER WONDERFUL GENEROSITY. When I worked for Stop & Shop many years ago the manager did the same thing for a poor woman with six kids to pay for her food completely every time she came into the store . It's GOOD TO SEE A COPANY THAT THINKS OF HELPING PEOPLE THAT NEED IT WITHOUT THOUGHT TO THEMSELVES. My Main regret is that I didn't become a Store Manager for them when they asked me when I was 18 years old after I worked for them since I was 16.. I'm a Senior Citizen now with a 12yearolds sense of humor and can pass for 46. So I have fun.

I get my pick up from here all of the time and they are so helpful and good at this location.

Good selection of products. Good organic offerings, if you like that.

I went to this Stop and Shop last evening 12/1/21 for stew meat. I asked the butcher, who was already in the process of cleaning up and hosing down the work stations, if he had precut pieces in the back as there wasn’t any left in the display case. He walked around to me and said he would take the full cut of chuck wrapped up on display and cut it into pieces if I’d like. The butcher went out of his way to cut up stew meat for me after he was already in the process of shutting down. Thank you for your outstanding customer service, Josh! 5 ⭐s!

i only go to this stop and shop to get chicken gizzards. and NO I do not eat them. i like to buy a few packages and freeze them and once in a while I will boil them and cut them up for my dogs who love love love them. cannot find the gizzards in the Farmington avenue stop and shop or any other grocery store.

NOT HAPPY AT ALL... CANT EVEN GO INTO THE STORE.. I JUST NEED TO GET MY SON MEDICINE AND HAD TO DEAL WITH THIS MADNESS SMH...
Not fair to faithful customers, when you cant even get into the store to grab a simple item.

Always clean, great service and my favorite

Always a great grocery store. Neat,clean and well organized. The produce is fresh,and there's plenty of sales week to week. The cashiers are accommodating to the customers needs,polite,and knowledgeable. Handicapped parking is a plus,always enough. Usually there's enough scooters,much depends on the timing too. Their deli department is filled with fresh lunch meats and various cheese. The meat section has enough of filled bins,beef,chicken,pork. Although prices have gone up,Stop&Shop is comparable to other grocery stores. Again there's usually sales going on. I recommend this Stop&Shop.

Good large grocery store. I have changed my rating to 5 stars, because Stop & Shop now has Electric Car Charger Parking spaces and doesn't charge for the electricity used. We own a Volvo C40 pure electric car and shop a lot more at this grocery store now and at retailers that offer this environmental benefit.

I love the pine Street stop & shop because of the pharmacy. The people working there are the best. They really care about their customers and keep an eye on their medications. I have had the pharmacist tell me that I couldn't take a medicine that my doctor called in because it was on my allergy list. They have gone out of their way to find money saving programs for me when I've been prescribed very expensive medications. I've been with them for 6 years and I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Fast friendly. Still could use 1 or 2 more cashiers at some time. It's Hard to schedule with Unknown customer traffic flow.

Bridgette in the Floral Department in Forestville was so helpful to me in getting a beautiful array of flowers for my step-daughters wedding shower. I would absolutely go back because of her! Thank you Bridgette the flowers made the day more beautiful!

Fantastic chain of grocery stores. Outstanding seafood and produce . The deli is awesome too. Easy to find items. The robot was cool thing to see. Just enjoyed this store. Wish they were in Eastern North Carolina.

I have had such great experiences here. There is a lady named Laura that has always been so helpful and kind regardless of how busy she is. She tries so hard.
We need more kind and genuine people like that in every establishment. Thank you

I like Stop and Shop. I like the fact you can scan your own groceries, bag them at the same time and then just scan the barcode on the scanner to pay for your groceries. So much easier! I wish all the other grocery stores would do the same thing.

Staff at Pharmacy are very helpful, professional, and friendly. They go over & beyond their expectations by coming outside to bring me my med. During this Covid19 we need this kind of caring from people.

Always clean, shelves fully stocked, and the best prices / savings in the area.

A bag ripped as I was taking it off the self-check out stand and a bottle broke when it hit the ground. The staff couldn't have been nicer about it. Thank you!
