BEST vegan restaurant in CT. FLAVORful. Allergy friendly (gluten free options available). Highly recommend the nachos and the tempera cauliflower. They also have a new drink for each zodiac season. ♒

Went here for my mother-in-laws birthday and it was great! It was our first time coming here and we loved the decorations and atmosphere. Our waiter, Harry, was super friendly and aware to my mother-in-law’s allergies and requests. Food was phenomenal and seasoned well. Definitely going back!

WOW, I'm speechless! I don't want to use the same boring words to describe how utterly fantastic this Vegan restaurant is, but it is amazing, so incredibly delixious and satisfying. My children brought me here for my birthday tonight🥰 This was the most amazing food I have had in a very long time, not to mention it is Vegan! I scarfed it down so quickly that I totally forgot to take pictures, UGH🤦‍♀
You guys!!! I had this dinner consisting of mashed potatoes, grilled brussel sprouts, and flank steak with a red wine sauce of some sort, I don't remember. Don't let the name fool ya... flank steak is a vegan meal, prepared to resemble actual flank steak. For a vegetarian, it is as close as it gets. It was the most mouth-watering thing I've had to eat in a very long time, I really wish I got pictures of the appetizers and main dishes. Oops, I forgot to mention the appetizers! I had cauliflower prepared to look and taste like fried boneless chicken wings🤯🤤
I did get a picture of the most spectacular🤤homemade carrot cake. This is exactly how you'd picture a real carrot cake made, the lonnng way, before processed food came along. Absolutely the BEST carrot cake I have ever had!!! And I have had A LOT of carrot cake in my lifetime, it is my favorite, after all❤
You really should try ION Vegan restaurant. It is not just a restaurant, It is an all body experience... pleasant atmosphere, amazing servers, and top-notch menu.

I will always go to ION. There are so many delicious options. The staff is SO friendly and they are very inclusive. The atmosphere/vibe is hip, chic, LOVE. All vegan! Sometimes they have specials. I have not gotten a dish that I didn’t like, but my favorites are the vegan nachos, southern tofu, grilled seitan, trumpet scallops, ANY dessert!

Amazing restaurant for the conscious minded!! We tried a bunch of things (see pics!!) and loved it all. My surprise favorite was the Caesar…so creamy, crisp, and delicious!! Get the seasonal tea too!! Lots of clearly marked gluten/soy/nut free options. Staff was cheerful and seemed genuinely happy to be there. Great for anything from an intimate date to a large celebration. We will be back!!

Honestly, it's been months since we've been here, but I wanted to do a review anyway because I STILL think of their food! This is a nice vegan spot with a laid back atmosphere/vibe. The staff we interacted with were very friendly.

We live almost two hours away and came down just to try their food. (Risky, I know.) We stopped in when they were serving brunch and tried their rainbow latkes, pancakes, and benedict. I'm not a brunch person so I was prepared to be disappointed, but everything was so good!

Believe it or not, the bacon & cracklins alone made it worth the drive. I have never before or since then had anything like them, we've even tried to make some at home with little success. We're definitely looking forward to our next trek out!

I loved this place inside & out! The decor was beautiful & The staff were very pleasant & patient. I started with the southern fried tofu, which was amazing!
The white clam pasta was great & a Large portion.
I ended with an oatmeal raisin cookie
They even warmed the oat milk for me! 🙌🏽

Recently made the foray into vegetarian/vegan. I was amazed by how well it was done. Everything was delicious, and the staff was extremely patient and very helping. Overall, it was the best plant based restaurant i have ever been to.

Everything we ordered was spot on delicious! Teriyaki cauliflower, Southern fried platter & Grilled Seitan dinner were all wonderfully prepared and presented. Can't wait to return and try more things on their menu. I ordered a mocktail that was really really good. I can't recall the name of it but it has a sprig of lavender in it. It smelled as wonderful as it tasted. I need that recipe.

One of the best vegan restaurants in CT. If you haven’t tried their food, you’re missing out! My favorite is their mac-n-cheese, nachos, and burgers. They had a special dessert one night- apple cobbler- omg it was so delicious, a piece of heaven on earth lol. Love this place, never disappoints. #govegan

A-MA-ZING!!! First time here.. the ambiance was so groovy and the food…..WOW! Super impressed. We had the burrito bowl, the order of tempura cauliflower and the Buffalo cauliflower wrap with sweet potato fries. Definitely coming back. 😊

Okay so I’m not even vegan and I’m still thinking about how good the meal I had was. The clam pasta, fried tofu, and cornbread were all excellent! The portion sizes are very generous as well, so there were plenty leftovers. The cocktails were also great—I really enjoyed my espresso martini. Took a coconut cake to go and it was one of the best cakes I have ever had. The only thing that could improve is more time spacing between appetizers and entrees. All in all, 10/10 would recommend and I will definitely be coming back. (:

The food was delicious I had crab cakes made from artichokes, yum. A nice kale salad, too much for one meal so I saved it,it keeps well. The coconut cake was so good, but the icing made it a little too sweet for me. But people that love icing would love it. I also had a delicious mock tail as well as the mushroom scallops. So happy to find a vegan restaurant while traveling for work.

Absolutely Delicious Food. Wonderful Atmosphere. Great place to go have dinner or even lunch! This place is so good that my brother and I hadn't been for 2 years and still talked about it like we went yesterday! I am so glad we we're able to take our friends and introduce them to this amazing Vegan Food!

Been here probably 20+ times and I’ve been amazed at the consistent quality of everything! Food, service, atmosphere, honestly nothing to complain about. I was won over the first time I went when I brought my pup (outdoor seating) and they brought her a pillow to lay on, a bowl of water, and a piece of “bacon.” 10/10 every time!!!

Just want to express how much I love this restaurant! I've been going here for a couple of years and the food never disappoints and the service is always fantastic. Thank you for always providing a good experience! :)

UPDATE: I've been going to Ion for ~5 years now and to quote myself from above "it never disappoints." I've actually been living in upstate NY for the past 3 years, but every year, I ask my family if we can go to ION for my birthday (sometimes I'm lucky that my mom and sister will want to go on non-birthday visits as well). Thank you for offering the most delicious food I've had in my life. The service is outstanding. The ~vibes~ are exquisite. I will forever be a patron of ION and I encourage others to be the same.

Favorite dishes: SOUTHERN FRIED TOFU (they were out of it this past time unfortunately, but it's the best thing on the menu in my opinion), chickpea parmesan sandwich, any of the burger options, surf&turf, nachos, brussel sprouts, and COCONUT CAKE (the best birthday cake a person can ask for).

You really can't go wrong with any of the options. When my sister and I went two weeks ago, they were out of my favorites, and it was still one of the best meals I've had -- mac and cheese, nachos, tasty drinks, cake -- DELICIOUS.)

Food tasted amazing! Atmosphere was very chill & relaxed vibe, eco friendly! You view menus from your phone via their website, so there's no waste creating menus! Server was friendly, explained options in detail when asked! Appetizers & dinners were delicious, & came out relatively quickly. I thoroughly enjoyed everything, including drinks (Margaritas). I would most certainly recommend you to come here for yourself! They're also LGBTQ Friendly & this is a safe space!

ION is so amazing I never want to leave! If everyone tried their food, everyone would be vegan! The cauliflower is a must for an appetizer and the coconut cake is the best cake I’ve ever had and I don’t like cake or coconut!

This is probably the best vegan restaurant in the entire state of CT, or all of New England for that matter. Everything they server is delicious, and you won't notice you're eating vegan, other than the fact you'll feel better after your meal.

The staff has always been courteous, careful to make sure orders are severed properly, understanding people's dietary needs and wishes. The place also has a fantastic atmosphere, with very old wooden tables, and nice lighting, with plants about to add to your experience.
